Spirit of the Red River Cruise

After trying too get on this boat for months.. It was boring .. The captain didn't talk at all.. It should be free.. And before it all he wouldn't answer any question, because he didn't know his self WASTE OF MONEY AND TIME

except a boat ride on a lazy river.
The cost was $15.00 and for what was delivered it was high because what was delivered was nothing. To be fair, the pilot told me when I boarded that he was not a Shreveport native but he should perhaps have added that he was evidently also a selective mute! During the hour long amble on the peaceful Red River, he did not mutter a word about what we were seeing, the history of Shreveport or any of the aquatic birds we saw.
However, I know he wasn't a mute because he spent the entire time on his cell phone talking to friends. I left with more questions about the part of the river in the development and history of the city than I had when I got on.

We very much enjoyed this. Captain sandy gave us a lot of information about the area and the history of different things about the area and he even let my son drive the boat. We will definitely be back!

Captain Sandy gave us so much information about Shreveport and the river. The King Fishers, blue cranes and swallows were amazing to see. I would definitely recommend the river cruise.

We waited over 35 minutes in the heat and the boat never showed up. I wouldn't waste my time on this again.

My husband and I took a short two night vacation to Shreveport last minute before our kids finished up their week at camp. We hit up quite a few local restaurants, some way off the beaten path that only locals know about. We hit up a fantastic winery called On Cloud Wine. The ladies working there gave us a lot of info for things to do in the area. If you're looking for a quiet, easy going getaway, Shreveport is your place.

Waited 30 minutes and boat never showed up and no one answered phone. Would recommend calling first.

Had a great time for Mardi Gras and the boat cruise was icing on the cake. Captain Sandy took us on a great hour long cruise that was very informative. He told us not only about the river but about the casinos and the town of Shreveport. Great trip for a great price. Loved it!!

I’d always seen the river cruise sign but never thought to go until my mom came to visit. We decided to give it a try, and we’re so glad we did! Capt Sandy was awesome and so knowledgeable of the area. We got a really awesome history tour as we rode down the river. It felt like a Louisiana classic and I would highly recommend to anyone who wants to spend a relaxed half hour-hour on the river seeing a unique side to Shreveport.
