Was our first visit for our sons 8th birthday, we chose to visit as we saw they had financial difficulties over lockdown.
We paid £50 for 2 adults & 2 children and glad that we took a little picnic for the children as there is no food available once you are in the zoo although lots of food and drink for sale just before you enter
Loved that we could see the animals so up close
My favourite parts were the lorikeet, lemur and parrot walk through areas
The bird show was amazing & we were also amazed how they all come back after the free flying
My son said he would like to work there when he is older just like keeper Ben
All staff seemed very friendly & knowledgeable and the 2 shows we saw hosted by Ben and zac were also quite funny
The zoo setting in the vineyard was beautiful especially whilst watching the show in the sunshine
We were there around 2.5 hours
Plenty of benches available
The que to get in was about 20 mins which wasn't great for the kids but I'm sure this wouldn't be the case when covid is over
Would visit again in the future
Well done zac and team for building this place from scratch amazing 👏

WOW WOW WOW, amazing place. I took my granddaughter here for the first time and on arrival we were met by very pleasant staff. We were told the times of the shows in the amphitheatre, unfortunately we would have to wait two hours for first show as they had only just finished! I asked the staff if we could go out and get some lunch, then come back in, which there wasn't a problem with us doing. The actual grounds were pleasant with plenty of animals to see. You could even walk through some enclosures with there being a double gate system. it was all very well organised!
At first I though it was a bit expensive for what it was £15 for adults and £10 for children but I was so mistaken, the shows especially the bird show was amazing! It left us speechless to see so may different birds flying above our heads. My granddaughter thought it was really good, she's only 3 and kept laughing! It is a definite must you will not be disappointed, but please make sure you see the bird show, it was the best show of birds I have ever seen! The man (think he was called Zach) showing the birds was really funny and had every bodies attention
They help with conservation in other countries, so any money made from gifts is sent straight to them. Well worth a visit, fantastic afternoon out!
I never usually do a review for trip advisor straight away but I have for this amazing place!

A fantastic day out! The booking system is excellent, a wonderful welcoming team, well looked after animals, vast amounts of information about the animals and clear guidelines for the one way systems. Being so close to the animals is a unique experience in particular the wallaby, lemur and macaw walkways. Then there are the animal demonstrations - the mammal and reptile show gets you up close and personal with some animals and the presenter, Ben, was absolutely fantastic. His knowledge, engagement with the audience and charisma were brilliant. The grand finale of the bird show is absolutely worth waiting for - a great spectacle with up to 60 free flight birds. The birds fly over your head and it is so much fun! The presenter in this session is the zoo owner, Zac, who clearly has an unrivalled passion for the conservation of nature on earth. Zac is a showman and brings together his passion, knowledge and enthusiasm to provide a brilliant show. I would thoroughly recommend a visit and I want to encourage everyone to adopt an animal to maintain the zoo and help them with their conservation efforts in the future. Well done to the Wild team!

We went to see Santa at the Wild Zoological Park today with a five year old, there was 6 of us in total and it is one of the best Christmas/ Santa experiences we have ever had. And we have done a lot of them over the years with our son, now 17 and our niece who is 5.

Santa was really believable, very nice to chat to, knew that my niece had sponsored an animal at the park, which one it was and where best to see it and there was a nice gift at the end of the visit. Santa was also quite funny for the adults too which was lovely. The grotto is really beautifully decorated.

They were really hot on social distancing, everyone was wearing masks and everyone had their temperature taken before being allowed in.

The bird show is one of the best I have ever seen. Especially with where we sat, up at the back on the left, one of the owls flew literally cms above our heads to its perch at the back. The finale is amazing with all the birds being let out at the end, you have literally everything flying together, owls, vultures, bald headed eagle, parrots, storks and cranes. They even fetched the parrot my niece sponsors down from the tree at the end of the show so she could have a closer look at her.

All in all a brilliant afternoon. Definitely worth a visit and we cant wait to got back in the summer when it is warmer. They need all the help they can get and deserve our support as many of the species of birds that they work with are critically endangered. A proper hidden gem that we had no idea was on our doorstep.

The bird show alone is worth every penny of the entry cost so the rest of this compact zoo is a bonus. We have been several times but every time we come there have been developments. The Macaw walk-through was new for us this time and it is a great addition. Zac is a great host and his talks are always entertaining however it was lovely to see younger members of staff being given the opportunity to develop these skills. Well done Dan, you did fab! Thank you all at Wild and keep up the good work!!

‘Wild’ is a brilliant interactive experience run by an enthusiastic and dedicated team of zoo keepers. We visited with our 7 and 9 year olds, we all thoroughly enjoyed our visit and were equally very impressed and educated!

The park is small but very easy to spend 3 hours or so here (as we did) as there is a lot to see and take part in. With walk-in Wallaby, Lemur and macaw enclosures and opportunities to handle some of the smaller animals the focus is very much on getting involved. We also watched the otter feeding and really enjoyed The live mammals show which was very interesting and gave more opportunities to interact with animals such as stroking a skunk! Our highlight of the visit was definitely the Free Flight Bird show, we had vultures and owls swoop past our heads while Barry the Marabou stork casually strolled amongst us to keep an eye on things. There must be a phenomenal amount of preparation for this show, yet the keepers calmly kept it moving and kept the crowd guessing too!

We left here really appreciating the fantastic work which Wild are playing in animal conservation. There is definitely something for all ages here so we would highly recommend it.

Well done Wild, keep up the good work!

Visited with extended family, one in a Wheelchair who was able to move around with ease. Children in party ranged from age 9 to 16 and all had a really good time. The variety of animals to see is fantastic and we felt welcome, safe and comfortable as we went around the Zoo.
The Bird Show was the best part of the whole visit, its not to be missed, its clear to see how hard they've worked to make this an outstanding spectacle, we all loved it and would highly recommend to others.

Well, where can I start?! Today we visited the Santa's Grotto at Wild Zoological Park with a 1 year old and 2 year old. A truly magical experience for the children and adults alike.

We were guided from the zoo entrance by a "real" elf and taken to a winter wonderland which provided a perfect back drop for the first of our many photos. The elves merrily chatted to us whilst we waited to see Santa who was eagerly awaiting our arrival in the grotto, and WOW what a grotto it was!!! The children were totally mesmerised and the set up was far beyond anything you could have imagined and far exceeded our expectations.

Santa was by far the best Santa I've ever met (even the adults believed it was the real one!), he knew so much about the children and made them feel so welcome and excited about Christmas. He was very friendly and approachable and it feel like he knew the children personally. We weren't at all rushed and were given many opportunities to take photos and chat to Santa, plus the children very given a wonderful gift to take home.

Social distancing was adhered to throughout, with timed visited to manage numbers and the staff worked very hard to ensure everyone's safety (even sanitising their hands before and after holding my phone to take some photos for us). We felt incredibly safe throughout the whole zoo.

If you didn't get to go this year then DEFINITELY put it on your to-do list for next year.

We will absolutely be returning as much as possible and you will be hard pushed to find a more magical experience within the UK. The 2 year old has gone to bed this evening still talking about her day out!

A massive thank you to the Wild Zoo staff for making this such a wonderful and magical event, and continuing to provide such memorable experiences for the whole family.

Unfortunate to have gone on a day when it rained heavily. Yet we only saw 8 animals of which 2 were tortoises. Birds of prey show was cancelled due to the rain. At least we have been given an option to come back for free. The restaurant was booking only so ended up coming away wet, hungry and disappointed.

We had a superb morning at WILD. As a family of 4 with two young children, we were all kept entertained by the exhibits and were very impressed with the large spaces and 'walk throughs' where the children could get within a few inches of species such as wallabies, emus, tortoises and lemurs.

The parakeet exhibit enables visitors to feed the birds by handand head! And for such a relatively small space, the zoo really utilises all areas well. We paid for an extra encounter ('VIP experience') with the meerkats which both the children (and parents!) really enjoyed. Keeper Ben had just finished helping with a reptile show, which was very good and came to give us the meerkat experience. He was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic, talking to the children, answering their questions and ours. (I used to work at ZSL Whipsnade Zoo and was very impressed)

Ben then went on to give the 'Wild Wings' Bird show which was superb. The grand finale saw around 70 birds free-flying at once - an incredible sight! The education was fantastic and we will remember our visit for a long, long time! Thank you.
