My husband and I stayed at Foam Edge last weekend for our first anniversary and what a wonderful experience. The room was incredible! Spotlessly clean, with everything you would need for a very comfortable stay. Had the best night's sleep in the most comfy bed! Helen is a fantastic host and the breakfast was amazing. It really felt like a special experience with all the little touches and thought that has gone in to making guests welcome. Wish we could have stayed much longer than one night but we will definitely be back. Thank you!

I had the privilege of staying for one night at the Foam Edge Guesthouse on a beautiful Monday in June. Following a 300km bike ride in the Brecon Beacons, I thought it would be a good idea to relax by the coast the next day. What a perfect location this was. After checking in early, stepping outside the guesthouse you are immediately greeted by a stunning view of the coast. I turned right and headed North-West for a leisurely stroll along the varied, often rugged coast. Returning after completing a loop, I then headed in the opposite direction, ie South-East from the guesthouse, and enjoyed chilling at Coney Beach. You're spoilt by choice given the location. As for the guesthouse, it is run by a super-friendly couple, with whom I spent much time in deep and meaningful conversations. The room was stunning and immaculately presented, enhanced by an excellent view out to sea - I could even catch the evening's sunset. Breakfast was carefully and diligently prepared, and again serves with a bubbly attitude and interesting conversations. I couldn't have asked for more. A most memorable stay for an unforgettable few days in Wales. Thank you very much!

We had a most enjoyable stay at Foamedge. Our room and the dining room were fabulous. It was really clean and everything looked new. It was real luxury- beautiful furniture, a wonderful setting on the seafront and a beautifully prepared breakfast. Helen makes you feel so welcome and shows great care towards her guests. We are looking forward to our next stay at Foamedge. Anne & Bill

Helen was a lovely host and made us feel very welcome. The room was absolutely stunning and the view was amazing (Stayed in the Deluxe Double Room with Sea View). We were hoping to book the balcony room but it was already allocated. However, after staying at the property we were so glad that we had the room we did. You are able to lay on the really comfortable bed and look out to sea. Both rooms are stunning. Welsh breakfast and homemade yogurt pots were delicious. Would highly recommend a stay here. 5 STAR.

All positives to mention for Foamedge Guesthouse - Helen and Hywel are both extremely friendly and welcoming and the location is stunning - it is overlooking the sea front with an amazing sea view but is also only a few minutes stroll away from the town centre with all the bars, restaurants and shops. There is free on site parking which was invaluable on Porthcawl seafront on a busy day in August. The room we stayed in was stylish and spotless - uncluttered and relaxing with many luxurious touches including large fluffy towels, dressing gowns and slippers and fabulous toiletries. There is a super king size bed, a large flat screen television. a sofa to look at the sea view and to “people-watch”, tea and coffee making facilities and an ensuite shower room. The location of the guesthouse means that the room is quiet at night so we had a good night’s sleep. Breakfast was excellent with fabulous yoghurt and berry pots (I could eat them every day!) and a plentiful full Welsh breakfast provided in an amazing breakfast room. I really recommend staying in the Foamedge Guesthouse and also recommend a visit to Porthcawl to those who haven’t been before - there is always lots to do in the town and surrounding area and it is also close to both Cardiff and Swansea. (Also to mention that Helen was following all the coronavirus safety procedures when we were there including providing sanitiser, only allowing one family at a time in the breakfast room and wearing a mask when providing breakfast).

If there was more than 5 stars I would give more. What a beautiful guest house, warm, welcoming and friendly with nothing to much trouble. I would highly recommend to anyone, perfect location and amazing views. The guest house is clean and Helen is a great host proving a freshly cooked breakfast to our requirements. We only stayed one night but felt like we could have stayed longer. Big thank you.
