My wife booked the sunset cruise for my birthday during the 4th of July weekend, and we called the previous day to confirm the reservation. Everything was all set. However, a few hours before the cruise they sent an email saying that the sunset cruise had been cancelled, and replaced by a (more profitable) lobster dinner cruise, and we would have to pay a difference of $180 MORE than what was already paid. We were traveling with our 9 yo son, who doesn't eat lobster, so that would have been a waste of money. Anyway, we tried to call them but did not pick up the phone or returned my voice messages. The next day they gave us a refund.
As we were visiting Newport, we did not see the email until it was time to take the cruise. All alternative cruises were sold out, and even finding earlier restaurant reservations to have a celebration was challenging.
The cruise looks good, if you can risk being forced to change plans at the last minute. Otherwise look for a more serious alternative.

Spectacular! A perfect way to tour Newport Harbor and watch the sunset. We toured past Ft. Adams, deep into Brenton cove to view some rarely seen mega million dollar homes tucked away from the public, J/24 racing (always exciting when they round the marks in this competitive fleet), the Oliver Hazard Perry tall ship, and a special treat since they were in town - the gorgeous J Class boats. The app's were delicious (the goat cheese and fig in phyllo dough was my favorite) and the cocktail selection nice. The boat is very steady and has a nice and spacious protected area in case you get a little chilly after the sun goes down. It was also fun to have access to bow and have great visibility to see everything!
