Corpo Santo Lisbon Historical Hotel

3652 Reviews

Located next to the riverside area, in one of the prime areas of the Lisbon Center and very close to the cosmopolitan Bairro Alto and Chiado, Corpo Santo Lisbon Historical Hotel has 75 rooms, including 8 suites. The Corpo Santo Hotel is a 5-star superior hotel that offers excellent service in a refined but comfortable environment, where the old and historical combine with the modern and cosmopolitan. On the floor -1 of the hotel you will find a museum nucleus with high historical value, full of ancestral pieces found in the reconstruction of the building, properly identified and where stands out a part of the Fernandina Wall, dated of the XIV century The Hotel is 2 steps from the Tagus River, the Praça do Comercio, the Rossio and Avenida da Liberdade where you will find the main shops, restaurants, bars, theaters and museums of the city. The structure of the building, typical of Baixa Pombalina gives the units different dimensions, characteristics and views.

Amazing hotel and service. The cherry on the cake was the walking tour with Miguel - he is a considerate, very knowledgeable guide and a credit to the hotel team. He wouldn’t accept a tip that he thoroughly deserved! The little extras at the hotel are very welcome - ranging from cold drinks to snacks to the molton brown toiletries. We cannot recommend the place enough.

Ok, I'm challenged to add to the superlatives stated in so many reviews here. Staying at Corpo Santo was truly an EXCEPTIONAL experience, primarily due to the remarkably attentive staff who catered to our every desire, but also anticipated our needs. We definitely felt pampered in so many ways, that would make you not want to leave. I'll touch on the various staff, but I'd like to first note the hotel facility with its specially large, clean modern rooms that were left stocked with little goodies everywhere - two bottled waters, fruit and numerous other amneties. I should note one thing that I have found missing in all my years at the finest hotels, - firm Q-tips. Funny, but I've always continued to be surprised at how hotels will stock flimsy cotton tips for rooms. Not here at Corpo Santo - they were actually better than regular Q-tips. :-) I can't comment on the lunch or dinner at the hotel, as we were out during those times, but the included breakfast was a la carte with exceptionally tasty Portugese treats and their delicious twist on standard fare of items like Eggs Benedict. Ok, let's get back to the staffing - many of whom were exceptional with some especially deserving a call out. At the front desk "John" was so helpful in getting us out to the airport, arranging for a last minute transportation after our original driver failed to show up. Sergio continously volunteered to help with setting up reservations for various activities, as well as leading a very nice tour through historical and picturesque settings. Badshad was a doorman like no other. Friendly, smart and also very helpful beyond his regular duties, such as helping me manage my car storage overnight. The masseuses were out of this world in the depth of relieving the deepest muscle spasms - Annabelle (the mentor for the other staff) together with three others , Emilly, Lenea and Yessica tended to my wife and me - that's right sometimes two experienced deep tissue therapists working at the same time. Best massage ... ever. All staff beyond friendly - they were always ready to take the extra steps to assist the guests and worked very well together with great communication. You probably get the point. You won't be disappointed spending your resting time in Lisbon at Porto Santo.

We just had an hour couples massage and it was quite possibly the best massage we've ever ever had. Four ladies so you each get double bubble. Lovely ladies, super friendly and they are truly excellent at what they do. Highly recommended after a day or two walking Lisbon's hills.

We have a wonderful stay this past couple days and still staying for two more days. There are so many good things during our stay, from the hotel location, cleanliness, amenities and the unsurpassed hospitality of all the staff that we met. From when we arrived and greeted by the reception, the super helpful concierge, the guest service attendants who delivered our luggages into the room while we enjoy our wine tasting and snacks at the lobby, the restaurant servers and last but not least, the ultimate experience given by our free walking tour guide, Sergio!! Sergio is very resourceful, attentive and knows really well about the city. We went to both morning and afternoon walking tour and felt like we learned so much for our next couple days that we planned to explore ourselves. Carpo Santo is highly recommended. I would call it an oasis with five stars facilities full of staffs who know to “wow” your stay. The staff hospitality sets Carpo Santo apart from other five star accommodation. We also met the hotel manager during our tour and you can tell his eagerness to make sure his guests enjoy the stay. We saw his passion when he explained the history of the city of Lisbon wall which is actually lies below the hotel, hence the place is called historical hotel. They are so proud of being part of the city history. We have been traveling to many places around the world and Carpo Santo really sets themselves apart by being beyond a five star hotel with their wonderful people.

100% worth it! This is one of the best hotels I've stayed at and I would absolutely stay again. So much is included in the price - free breakfast, free minibar (which is stocked with water, soda, and beer), two walking tours, spa access, welcome massages, evening wine tasting, lobby snacks/water, etc. We were also surprised with champagne and bagged snacks delivered to our room, free of charge! The many perks make this hotel worth it. I cannot say enough good things about it! Amenities and the room are clean and spacious as well. The location is fantastic as it's easy to walk to most places. I'm vegan and was happy to find a vegan restaurant literally next door (Kong). Breakfast at the hotel is lovely - there's a variety of breads and juices to choose from and you order other items a la carte. I really loved the olive oil and vinegar they offer for salads. The staff are friendly and accommodating. I didn't think I would, but I attended both the morning and afternoon walking tours. Shout out to Ana who led the afternoon tour! She packed in a lot of history and was very easy to talk to.

I can't say enough in praise of this hotel. First of all, so many things are included - breakfast, walking tours, ice cream and candy in the lobby, wine tasting, and other things I'm forgetting. The staff is very friendly and helpful. My room was nice and quiet. This is the first hotel I've ever been to where the minibar is free. The hotel's location is great as well. It's in the Cais do Sodre neighborhood, on a square, a block from the waterfront and about 2 blocks from the metro station, with tram and bus stations right there. I very highly recommend this hotel.
