Wednesday market

Caught an orange Dolmus from Marmaris (10 lira per person) to the centre and had to ask the driver to drop us at the market entrance as it’s not visible from the main road.
This seems to be the fresh produce markets for local traders.
Fresh fruit, spices, vegetables, Turkish delight, honey on sale and I bought nuts and fruit which were half the price from the main shops in Marmaris!
The traders welcome you to taste before buying.
The hotel staff said the market runs every day but we visited on a Wednesday.

Icmeler's market is a Farmers market only.
Lots of local fresh produce.
No pushy or hard selling stall holders here.
No Genuine Fake stalls so don't go if this is what your after.
(Point of note- Turunc market is the same)

Worth a visit if passing not as a destination

Very small market, possibly because we visited at the end of season, mainly fruit and veg. There are a small number of other stalls. Taxis were available to take you away.
