The Cambridgeshire Golf Club

Last Thursday (29th Sept 22) we (the Asset Community East) held our second annual Charity Golf day at the Cambridgeshire Golf Club, with 64 of us playing. Everything from my original contact with Marc Smith, the Director of Golf and his team was made easy.
Marc and his team put themselves out supporting the organisation on the day and couldn't have been more accommodating.
On the day, the sun shone (which always helps) and considering the very dry weather over the summer the course was in very good condition which made for an enjoyable but challenging round of golf for all (some more than others!).

The after golf meal was good and the service from all areas of the hotel team was excellent. All the staff we came in contact with could not have been more helpful and went above and beyond in ensuring our visit was enjoyable.

We have now used the Club and Hotel twice and would definitely recommend both.

40 of us went up for our away weekend. Everything from the golf, the restaurant, the rooms and bars were excellent. A special big thankyou to all the management and staff that went above and beyond to make our stay so enjoyable. Will definitely recommend.

I have stayed at this hotel numerous times on business pre covid and frankly it was shocking. The rooms, food, staff could not have been worse. Fast forward. 30 plus of us were on a golf trip for two nights. Very attentive and efficient staff, lovely food and I liked the golf course. Couldn't have had a better time!

Played here in society, the course is challenging but is playable for all levels of golfer. The tee’s and greens are well kept, my main issue with the course is the poor state of the “water hazards” (trenches) and amount of tree roots which makes the ball unplayable without damaging your club or your score. The staff are friendly and helpful, the pro shop is small but has everything you need.

We played golf here the other day a great deal £20 for golf and a bacon roll and coffee before we started. Unfortunately when you finish the golf bar is now closed and you have to use the hotel facilities. What an absolute joke the cost of coffee and a drinks is so high it is awful. Coffee nearly £4 a cup etc..The service is slow and inefficient in the hotel bar area as well. Play golf but do not use the hotel facilities unless you are happy paying silly prices and getting bad service. The golf course is in good condition and offers some nice challenges.
