The Maui Butterfly Farm

This was an absolutely amazing experience! The grounds were beautiful! With amazing guides! Gained a lot of knowledge about caterpillars and butterflies! AND praying mantis! We got to feed butterflies from our honey covered finger tips! A great experience for my 8 and 17 year old! Even myself and husband had a great time! Perfect location right off the highway! Def recommend for a last minute excursion!

This is a great tour for the family---- we loved seeing the caterpillars and learning how they developed , and then watching the beautiful butterflies flying and feeding on flowers . It was also great to visit the lovely Upcountry scenery ---- highly recommended !

We were in Maui on our honeymoon and this was our favorite tour! They seamlessly cater to all ages, provided the perfect allotment of time in the different areas, and gave tips to capture the best memories. (Take slow-mo videos.)

A great way to spend some time with something that feels decidedly less "touristy". We got to hold caterpillars, butterflies, and praying mantis, learned a lot about the development of butterflies and their impact on the environment.

Our guide was kind and knowledgeable and made everyone feel welcome.

Absolutely loved this experience! Brought my family here to celebrate my 40th and it was a beautiful family friendly tour. Learned so much about a butterflies life cycle. Nessi was our guide and she was very informative and had much Aloha Spirit! I'm excited to plant my Milkweed plant to help "Save the Butterflies!" Thank you Maui Butterfly Farm!

Wow - what a wonderful and unexpected experience! We visited with our two small children, 2 and 5, and they did an amazing job including our little ones. Everyone got to hold butterflies, learn a lot - and super excited to plant some milkweed at our house to help with the Monarch Butterflies.

We have incredible photos of our kids up close with nature - caterpillers, butterflies, praying mantis; what a lovely way to spend an afternoon and break up the beach!

I just want to say that the hosts of our tour - I wish I'd gotten their names - were seriously the most kind and wonderful people. You could absolutely tell they got delight out of teaching our kids about the wide world of bugs - and were so happy to answer my 4-year olds never-ending stream of questions.

We drove past the farm on our way from the airport to our hotel. We booked a tour for the next morning, and we’re so glad we did! The folks there were so nice and taught us lots about Hawaii’s butterflies. We were able to feed and hold the butterflies and caterpillars (and even some praying mantises). I would definitely recommend a tour here as something fun and unique to do while on Maui!

This was a beautiful breath of fresh air, literally. A great way to spend the morning with our 2 year old who was super into butterflies, couldn't have a been a more perfect day and we learned a lot too! Thank you!
