York Pavilion Hotel, Sure Collection By Best Western

Stayed for one night as was on business in York. Room was clean and well equipped with everything for a night's stay. Staff were really helpful and welcoming. The big plus here is the food. The portions were ample and tasty. I had a burger without a bun and it was plenty. Will stay again when in York!

We came here for a wedding and didn't stay over just wanted leave a review to praise the staff. The receptionist, bar staff and waiting staff were all polite, friendly and cheery but special shout out to Ricardo, he is a credit to your team.

Mother's Day Lunch. We had a lovely time at the Pavilion Hotel. Booked a late lunch for 4pm, it was nice and quiet the rush had been and gone. We had taken my elderly mum, (who uses a wheelchair, it was a bit of a maze to get her in, more disabled signs would be helpful). She thoroughly enjoyed the more traditional service and decor. Our meal was super thank you to the chef and his team. The service was good and the server's were happy and attentive, thank you for making our mother's day lunch so enjoyable.

We were extremely disappointed yet again. After our last visit 5weeks ago and complaining bout our room we were upgraded this time. But very dull stale smell room. Roasting Heating kept us awake all night 🌙 needs renovating!!!!.food for evening meal was tasteless. So will not be coming again

Historical building, looking tired in places, let down by a few maintenence issues, room in need of some TLC. Food quality overall below an acceptable standard, poor food presentation spoilt the restaurant experience.

Fantastic accommodation for the money. I stayed for one night while visiting family nearby and was impressed with the service I received from start to finish. Parking on the secure car park was only £10 for 24 hours and clearly stated before my arrival. I didn’t get chance to try breakfast as I had an early start the next day but it looked and smelled amazing as I walked past the dining room before checking out. The room was comfortable and well appointed. I’d highly recommend this hotel as a base for York and surrounding areas.

Absolutely loved this hotel, great room, brilliant value, breakfast lovely and the staff were nice. Price excellent for time of year and great access into York if you like a walk or want to use the bus. Our room was massive and comfortable. Hope to come back.

There is no escaping: The Pavilion (IMO) has seen better days. Bedroom was of reasonable size - if a little over furnished - however, the gloomy decor, musty smell, tired, shabby ( and again unpleasantly musty) soft furnishings did absolutely nothing to create a pleasant ambiance. Bathroom was jaded with aging sanitary wear - positive: plentiful hot water. Public areas are also tired. Dining services have limitations. Staff are pleasant enough and do their best. Yes, this is a period property with quirks and likely inherent problems to match. However, serious investment is necessary if there is any hope of restoring confidence in this hotel which, at core, has the bones and infrastructure to be so much more.

The hotel and staff were simply wonderful . We were celebrating my mums 100th birthday, the food was fabulous, the room looked beautiful and the staff couldn’t do enough to make it an evening to remember. Everybody loved it and all the kids had a great time. Thank you to Pertunia and the team, Nick you were just amazing.

What a Gem!. This amazing hotel just 15 mins by bus from York centre. The building is set in lovely grounds and is elegant and traditional. Several separate rooms for parties, conferences and weddings. The rooms are well kept, clean and comfortable with the quirky shapes of an older building. The food was absolutely superb and the staff could not have been better! So friendly and helpful.They made you feel important and nothing was too much trouble. This is definitely on the list to return
