Show more...Everything was wonderful. From the accomodation being spotlessly clean, to the food being lovely and plates warm at breakfast. Staff very polite, efficient and happy, smiling. Nothing was too much trouble. Its also a beautiful setting and building . I would return without a doubt.
Show more...It was a wonderful stay, we went on an official trip to Chepstow and it was my first time visiting Wales. The siren environment, the morning rain with the birds, it was quite a nice experience. The food was good, from the dinner to the breakfast options were all excellent. The staffs were amazing and welcoming. I definitely will recommend.
Show more...An unexpected treat awaits when you visit the St.Pierre Country Club. The staff take pride in a level of personal service seldom seen in larger hotel chains. The facilities provide guests with excellent 4 star experience in all departments. One small suggestion is to change the coffee blend in the new machine in the dining room. This was disappointing. However, the staff immediately offered me fresh coffee that they brought from the bar. I understand refurbishment is continuing and I look forward to seeing more on my next visit.
Show more...Booked a valentines weekend away. We had a nice room which was spacious with a view across the golf course. King size bed and comfortable mattress although a thin pillow which reminds me of what the Travel Lodge used to supply years ago. They could do with upgrading their bedding seeing as its a 4star hotel. The bathroom was adequate for our needs although had to ask for some conditioner as the bottle was empty and the toilet had a water scum line around. These 3 things are what hold me back from giving a 5 star review. We had a lovely meal from the Valentine set menu on the first night. Staff were friendly and always on hand without being over bearing. I'd certainly recommend the restaurant for food. Breakfast had a lot of variety and plenty of it, from continental to hot food. There were certainly options for all. We did go to the pool but only stayed there for less than an hour. It was very crowded with children so was noisy and there were swimming lessons going on. 6 sun beds only so not many places to relax on. I'd probably not use this venue for a spa day but I would consider coming back for another stay or using the restaurant again.
Show more...Staff were amazing expecially Tom and Keira but apart from that bot much to rave about, f it wasn’t for them then my trip would’ve been a complete nightmare. Overpriced rooms were far from main building and food was overpriced and small portions.
Show more...I booked a spa break for my birthday with my mum. Firstly our 55 minute treatment turned into 25 minutes. The pool was full of children having swimming lessons, the sauna and jacuzzi were too full to use. This is not a place to go for a relaxing spa break, it's mearly a busy local gym. I was very upset and disappointed. The manager gave us a bottle of wine to compensate and agreed to give us half of our money back for the negative experience. However we only received half of the treatment price back. I would advise using this hotel for dinner and an overnight stay only, not for a spa break.
Show more...My husband and I came here for a spa day that he’d got me for Christmas and it was our second visit (we came a few years back). There were lots of disappointments with the spa. To start with, the fire alarm kept going off every few minutes in intervals. This started as soon as I got to the changing rooms. Our treatment was booked pretty much as soon as we got there and the spa staff did go to find out what was going on. They returned telling us this would continue throughout our treatment and possibly throughout the day, something the front desk didn’t mention. We were offered the opportunity to have vouchers and come back another time for our massages but, we didn’t feel like this was the right thing to do as, we had booked a while back and arranged a sitter for our dog etc, it wasn’t worth the hassle. The pool/spa area is really out of date, crumbling, chipping, stained, old etc. it needs a full revamp. It’s discouraging when you’re sitting in the jacuzzi and can see this weird brown thick stuff by the tiles, misty window panes and what looks like mould in the skylight of the cylinder roof. The area is quite small so only had six sunbeds and the rest are chairs. It may as well be a small leisure centre rather than a spa. We had food in the trophy bar. The food was relatively nice. I had a burger and my husband had fish and chips. The chips were overcooked and his fish was a bit overdone too. For £19 a dish, I’d expect more quality. The whole place lacks quality, luxury and some of the basics. If they put some money into the place, it could make a real difference. I wouldn’t come back here again.
Show more...Fantastic hotel and exceptional staff, thoroughly enjoyed our weekend away. The pool was lovely and the breakfast was superb, cannot fault the staff or facilities. The entire experience exceeded our expectations, it is such a fab place in a great location.
Show more...Magnificent hotel, full of character and charm! From the well manicured lawns to the warm and welcoming interior the St. Pierre Country Club was the perfect choice. The reception staff were friendly and courteous and truly made us feel welcome. We dined in the restaurant; the food and ambiance were first rate. Lovely quiet room overlooking the lake which as graced by ducks and other birds - beautiful. Loved the breakfast, so many choices on the buffet, we sat by the window overlooking the golf course, can't wait to return here.

Such a lovely hotel. The staff were so friendly and helpful and s couldn’t do enough to make our stay comfortable. We were lucky enough to get a room by the lake and the bedroom so was so peaceful and calming. The bed was exceptionally comfortable and we both had one of the best nights sleep we’ve had in a hotel. The restuarant was very good and again the staff were brilliant. We were offered a buffet menu as the hotel was busy. There was plenty of choice and the food was pleasant. The breakfast was amazing and some of the tastiest sausages my husband has ever had. Thanks for a wonderful stay. We would definitely recommend to anyone considering staying here
