Visited here today. Sun was shining and the park looked beautiful with spring flowers everywhere. There are a number of walks you can take, most with great vistas. Then have lunch.! We had a very enjoyable and tasty lunch. You could come for afternoon tea, which several tables near us were having and that looked very good too.

Took my son here when we went fishing in the nearby river lagan.
Handy car parking and lovely walks.
Very child friendly.
Didn't catch any fish but there is plenty about.
Would recommend this place to family's and anyone who wants out and about

It is a lovely walk and the gardens are fabulous in a lovely sunny day. There is a lovely cafe in the grounds were you can sit and watch the local wildlife.

This is a very nice place to take a walk. I even saw a rare red squirrel high up in a tree. Lots of winding woodland paths and tall trees, all acessible from a main road.

If it snows,
there's one place to go in Belfast,
just make sure you bring a sled.

Nonetheless, Barnett's Demesne is beautiful out of season as well - a long winding river with lots of wildlife, hills and gentle walks.

Ok if you have a dog or want to fly a kite . Quite popular with locals though. Parts of the tow path are beautiful but its mostly just grassland

We went for a picnic here and we all loved it. A short drive out of Belfast with vast open green. Kids loved running around. Very relaxing

This is a nice place to park the car and go for a long walk around the gardens and arboretum, or down to the Lagan. Just beware that the path to the river is quite steep and must be attempted in reverse when returning to the car.
There is a café where you can get a coffee or a more substantial meal.

I visit Barnett's often to let my son out on his bike and take my daughter for a walk in her pram. It's a lovely relaxing place and there are plenty of walks. I sometimes opt for the long one via the play park at shaw's bridge or the easier version around the trim trail. There are toilets at Malone house in case you need them. Parking is always plentiful.
