This place is great for ATV, SxS, motorcycles, or modified vehicles but not good at all for stock vehicles. Once you get into the park there is no way to get out without going through areas that have extremely deep ruts and/or large rutty drop-offs. We attempted this with a stock Jeep with 33" tires and no lift and got stuck (also a nice dent). Luckily there was an SxS that came along and pulled us out or we would've had to pay the park somewhere between $250.00 and $1,000 to pull us out. Also, as everyone else has said, the map is a joke!! If this area were to experience a drought and the trail was completely dry you might not struggle as much but be warned if you're in a stock vehicle.

Our group had fun wheeling today, however we would have rated you 5 stars if you had a map that was legible and trails that were marked so you could figure out where you are. Your park is huge which is wonderful for accommodating groups looking for lots of off-road adventures, but it’s impossible to follow the few signs you do have and they don’t match the digital map that you are required to download. Some signs are not even listed on the map and they make no since! Directions are inconsistent, poorly marked and lend for confusion and ending up on trails that are not suitable for jeeps. This was our second trip (1 year apart) and no trail improvements have been done since we were here last year. Large pine trees blocking Jeep trails with no alternative but to back up. It’s hard to believe a Labor Day event is scheduled tomorrow…two port-o-lets I tried had no TP! The lodge/store is nice, but again, nothing for the Jeep enthusiast. I’m speaking for myself (not necessarily my group) but I won’t vote for returning as long as those improvements aren’t made. Like I said up front: Great Potential!

Renter Beware – This is a beautiful location that is poorly managed. In January I rented 4 vehicles for a day on the trails. We experienced multiple delays and issues such as: They didn’t have sufficient rentals even though I had confirmed reservations; One vehicle didn’t run properly and the manager tried to tell me it was just cold – until I asked why there was a turtle symbol on the display – then he admitted it was a slow setting and he didn’t have the key to turn that off; One vehicle had low gas – but I was assured it would be enough – but of course it wasn’t – and when we came back in for gas they didn’t have any. Even with all that the day was fun – and the location was awesome. Then 2 weeks after the rental I was charged nearly $800 without an explanation. When I called to find out why I was told there was damage to one of the vehicles. 7 months later I have yet to see any evidence that it was the vehicle I rented or pictures of the damage. Multiple promises that they would get back to me. Multiple phone calls went unanswered. Multiple requests for consideration for the 2.5 hours of delays that resulted in no riding time went without answer. If you go – take your own vehicles and try to minimize the interaction with those running the rental shop.

How can I say anything other than the trails were poorly marked or unmarked. There was no maps available and the trails were extremely unmaintained. The "service/office" was a tent with one attendant who laughed when, after I paid told me that they were out of maps and he would text me a digital copy. We headed out and discovered, after we were on the trail, that the "digital map" was a poor picture taken with his camera and completely illegible. We were unable to read the markers at all to try to see where we were at. The trails were so deeply rutted that travel at more than 10 miles an hour was extremely difficult. The trip cost us 6 hours of round trip driving for 1 hour of B.S. trails.stay away and go to Durham Town which is so vastly superior to this.

Our family of 4 paid $520 for an 8 hour experience of off road driving. There was no briefing or preparation by the staff except for a 1 on 1 with someone while we were waiting for the ATV to be brought to us. 10 Minutes into our 8 hour experience we crashed. It took the staff almost 3 hours to come get us. Thank God none of us were dead. Once we were picked up there was no medical person on staff to check our wounds and to make sure we were ok. A staff member told us they would assess the damage and will send us bill. On 07/03/21 we recd a bill for $16499.00 in order to replace their ATV, they did not even consider the $520.00 that was paid initially. They provided no evidence of the assessment, proof of ownership, etc. nor did they follow up on my families medical condition. I will update as this process continues.

They charged me for a rental that I cancelled well before their cancellation deadline. Lied to my credit card company when I disputed the $500+ charge they told Mastercard that I actually completed the rental and owed the fee! Offered me a partial credit when I proved that the rental was cancelled and couldn't have even happened since I wasn't at their facility, but then never actually posted the credit to my account. They sent me a bogus receipt for the credit as a scam. Mastercard says it was never even entered, and Iron Mountain can't/won't provide a valid transaction ID to prove it was real.

We got stuck and called for a tow. We were told the tow guy was getting someone else out and would be there soon. Some great people in heels pulled us out while waiting. Spoke to staff when done as they charge the card immediately when calling. They said the refund would be done Monday. Wife called all week to no one calling back. I called Saturday and they said we would only get part of the money back because the tow guy had to get equipment to get us out, even though he was already out there helping someone else. Spoke to people that go often and was informed there are several deep mud pits they don’t fix for the quick extra money grab. If your looking to get off the trails give yourself an hours time as the exits are extremely poorly marked.

Bring your pocketbook! Additional hidden fees, not posted on their website will break the bank. I was charged for an RV spot. However, that did not include riding was charged for Thursday riding and I could not ride past 8 PM although I arrived at 5 PM.
The trails are ungroomed and not well-maintained. The food is subpar and overpriced!
After inquiring about additional hidden fees was denied a refund and told that was the cost to enter the park after I had paid to rent an RV spot. I asked to speak to the owner, Craig, who was given my phone number by three different employees at three different times , still waiting on call……

If I could leave 0 stars I would. I bought $200 shoes and they were messed up. I went back the same day twice trying to exchange them. I even went one more time before leaving. The younger guy told me the company would loose money if they returned or exchanged my boot. Like if I wasn’t loosing money in purchasing $200 boot that didn’t work. They wouldn’t return or exchange them. I was told by 3 people Hunter would return my call that following Tuesday. I had to call on Thursday and he had no idea what I was talking about. They had Dane with Fox contact me. I sent him a video of the issues. He told me they couldn’t exchange it. I sent him more of the videos and he wouldn’t reply. I had to call him from a different phone number to get an answer. When he realized who I was, he stated being rude. He said” I already told you it’s not covered under warranty. I’m not going to sit here and go back and forth with you. I tired contacting Hunter but he didn’t answer any of my calls again.

I got lost in the woods after my machine broke down. The signage was terrible, and I got totally lost in the woods. finally I got in touch with someone and explained them that I was completely lost and that i had found a marking sign with a number on it. The person just told me that they did not have anybody around to assist me and that I was at my own. I ended up in a farm where they told me that I was six miles away after I spent hours walking. They gave me some directions through the woods and finally run into some other people that also were lost. I finally got back to my car almost at dark. I really don't think they care if you die in the woods while lost. The trails are not well maintained, they never have any maps and you find other people always asking for directions. Phone reception is really bad if you need to find your location in the woods.
