Penderyn Llandudno Lloyd St Distillery

I took the distillery tour with guide Rich and a small group yesterday, 7 July and can thoroughly recommend it. Rich was very knowledgeable and gave an interesting and entertaining tour. Considering this site only opened in May this year it is a great way to see and learn how the small number of ingredients needed are turned into the magical spirit we call whisky! Despite the challenge of wearing masks we still got to smell the gorgeous aromas of the different casks used to store and mature the spirit. The tastings at the end were worth the cost of the tour alone and this was a lovely way to spend around 75 mins with like minded people and a really entertaining guide. Well done Penderyn and Rich - can’t wait to try my whisky when I get home!

A very enjoyable hour or so this afternoon on the tour. Even before the whisky starts, it's worth taking a moment to appreciate the amazing restoration of this old school house, retaining original features such as Victorian glazed tiling, parquet floors and steel roof beams. The way they have juxtaposed old and new, retaining the character of the old building, is an achievement in itself. There's ample parking at the rear of the building and even a row of brand new EV charging points (free vend) so I was able to grab a few free amps while we were in there. The pre-tour waiting area is informative with some great historic photos and history of the area, and the tour itself with our guide Donna was interesting and informative. Note that the tour is not suitable for children as they are not allowed in the main part of the distillery (it is a working distillery, not a museum). The tour culminates in a fantastic little upstairs bar with free tasting (Penderyn gin and vodka available too, in case any of your party don't actually like whisky!) and the shop stocks the full range plus some decent, high quality accessories. All in all a brilliant experience and a credit to what is a really interesting brand putting Wales firmly on the whisky map!

Penderyn in Llandudno is a beautiful distillery and tells the history of this Welsh Whiskey in great fashion. Our tour guide Donna was amazing and the tasting session at the end was a great way to finish off.. currently on a two for one offer so its fantastic value, and the whole range of products in the shop is stunning.. One of the best Whiskeys I've tasted

I have just visited Penderyn Distillery, what a fabulous experience it was.
Elaine our tour guide was sensitive to everyone’s needs ( thanks for the chair!) and had a fantastic manner and sense of humour .
The tour is excellent value for money , the knowledge shown by the staff made this an informative and well thought out experience.
The tasting of the whiskey samples ( choice given) was lovely ,real glasses rather than plastic shot type glasses that I’ve experienced in other places made this a pleasurable experience.
A well proportioned shop encouraging staff led to the purchasing of a bottle to take home .

Had a lovely hour or so on the Penderyn welsh whisky distillery tour in Llandudno.
Angharad our tour guide was very informative about all aspects of the distillery , can’t lie the best bit was when Angharad was behind the bar in the Penderyn pub , the whisky’s are fantastic in presentation and taste.
The Penderyn whisky cream is a “skill” the taste knocks the iconic Baileys out of the park a definite “game changer”
We 100% recommend this tour and I can’t wait to try the much awaited Llandudno Penderyn whisky .

We visited the Penderyn Distillery today and took their tour. It was both informative and interesting. Our tour guide, Angharad, was friendly, welcoming and full of facts regarding Llandudno and Penderyn's history.
I would highly recommend booking a tour, which was excellent value for money and had free samples at the end. Thank you!

We booked the tour on the back of already having enjoyed a bottle of the Madeira whiskey.
Donna was our guide and was very knowledgeable, giving a great talk on the processes as well as an injection of humour adding to the overall experience.
The tour culminated with a sample of the vast selection on offer of whiskey, again Donna excelled with her knowledge and passed on tips to enjoy the whiskey perfectly.
In summary I would recommend this tour to anyone but especially those that enjoy their whiskey.

I’m so glad we took this tour. We saw the positive reviews but were undecided because this is not the main distillery. The building was very newly renovated but had an interesting history which we learned about on the tour. We went on a Friday and saw distillers are work making spirits. Our tour guide was knowledgeable, fun, and a fantastic representative for Penderyn. They are working on a different whisky than what is made at the main distillery and it is worth the affordable ~1 hour tour to see this special location and taste two Penderyn drinks.

I saw something about this online and thought a tour would be a nice thing to do on the afternoon that we arrived in Llandudno. We got a friendly welcome and then were given an interesting tour by Rich. Of course the hilight of the tour was the tasting and this was quite a surprise as I think this was the best whisky I had ever tasted, the samples were generous too. Don't go there if you are driving! We were staying just a short walk away. Of course we bought a couple of bottles andsome presents, it's not cheap but we have paid more for Scottish whisky and we enjoyed this more. Definitely worth goign on the tour

My wife treated me to a visit to Penderyn Llandudno for my birthday a couple of weeks ago and what a treat it was. We were the only ones on our particular tour but this did not mean we missed out on anythingfar from it, the personal attention we received throughout only added to the enjoyment of our experience. Everything from the wonderfully sympathetic restoration of the building, through the knowledgeable tour guide to the generous and very flavorful tastings all added up to a perfect birthday experience. We'll be back!!!
