Show more...What can i say. Welcome was great and was shown promptly to the spa area after filling in a health questionnaire. The robes and towels that were in our lockers were a bit damp. I thought they were just cold but the other 2 people with me said the same that they were damp. We were shown to the spa area which was lovely except when people were let out to the outdoor pool the temperature dropped rapidly and took quite a while to warm up and then the door would be open again. We decided to purchase hot drinks to warm up and were not offered sugar etc and came in paper cups and when your paying nearly £12 for them that's not good. When sitting around the pool area the ceiling was constantly dripping on us and towards the end of my drink it actually dripped in my tea. The only reason im giving 2 stars is for the actual massage and the staffs politeness.
Show more...I recently had a spa day with my partner. On arrival to the spa, I was greeted by a lady called Charlene. I felt really uncomfortable by her demeanor. She was really abrupt in her behaviour towards us. We were second guessing our stay because of the way we were greeted by her but thought we'd stay for the treatment and see how things went. I'm so glad we did stay because we had Lauren and Ellie as our therapists. They were absolutely brilliant. Very friendly and extremely good at their jobs. Very professional ladies. They put us at total ease and we thoroughly enjoyed our spar treatment.
I would recommend lanley Hall for a spa treatment just ask for Lauren or Elli and try to avoid the tall lady.
Been coming here for at least 4/5 years and it’s such a shame to say that we won’t be returning.
Food was lovely but didn’t want breakfast options at lunch time ( we really miss the afternoon tea option )
No dessert choice for example biscuits or small cakes to have with a hot drink.
Also a shame about having to change out of robes to eat.
If you have a spa experience you shouldn’t be on a time limit when you’ve paid all this money and want to relax away from busy and hectic life.
Not enough beds for the amount of people who are in the area.
Definitely not worth the money such a shame!!!!!
The only thing I can say is tonight my body feels like a marshmallow. I visited the spa today with my friend and it was nothing but Extraordinary! We were waited on hand and foot and made to feel like royalty. After a stressful year it feels like every problem was massaged away by the most amazing Erica. My first massage and she made me feel so welcome went through everything with me and wow give yourself a pat on the back because my back hasn’t felt this relaxed in years.
I wouldn’t change anything it was perfect and can’t wait to make this a monthly trip for me.
Lovely relaxing afternoon, enjoyed the spa facilities before my massage. The massage was amazing. Sasha was the therapist, she was professional, pressure was perfect and she focussed on the areas I had requested. I will definitely be back. The only improvement would be the brunch, which was afternoon lunch should be adapted to a light lunch menu and the second course should be served when the starter is finished. My eggs royale arrived and I was still eating my salad. The food was simple and fresh.
Show more...Amazing place!!
The spa facilities are beautiful - the outdoor and indoor pool is stunning.
Me and my sisters had full body massage and facial which was excellent.
The therapist were fab and very professional.
When your in the outdoor pool It feels like your in the middle of nowhere it’s a magical relaxing place.
The only thing I would suggest it the addition of fairy lights to the outside and inside of the beams!! I think it would add that little sparkle to a magical place!
Would definitely visit again!!!
5 stars!!

The spa experience, welcome, facilities, and hotel environment (modern on trend vibe) was excellent, and both of us agreed it was the best massage in ages from Sasha Rossiter. The spa experience was unfortunately let down by the brunch; Small portions (a man would be hungry), uninspiring brunch menu and the food was ok but not good, it lacked flavour and paying additional for a hot drink seemed harsh at £120 a pop. But overall, it was a good, not great experience, hence 4, not 5 stars.
Show more...Absolutely wonderful experience today for our Christmas present. Thank you so much to the girls who treated us to our full bandy massage, I feel much more relaxed going home to my young children today! Compliments to the chef for our brunch which was amazing, the staff were also fab, Mr William Ryder and Louis. Will definitely return.
Show more...2nd time visiting and still amazing! I had a hot orb massage with I think Charlene?? she was amazing, best massage I have ever had! Very professional and I felt so relaxed after. Great time in hot tub and sauna too. I think if anything could be improved it would be that the pool could be warmer and vegan offer on afternoon is a bit lacking in the sandwiches and no alternative for the Welsh cakes/scones.

To be honest I expected a lot better !!
Show more...Maybe we picked a bad day but the experience was far from relaxing..
I was going to book a Spa Package, Evening Meal with a stayover for my wife's birthday only to be told that:
"We do not offer any packages that include all three, they do have to be booked separately. So room and spa are both booked separately before arrival and then dinner can be booked and paid for on the day, as a regular meal."!!
This was too much faff so I decided to just to book the Spa Package which included the 'All Day Brunch'
The reception to Lanelay Hall was OK'ish with lots of pointing where we needed to go.. We were ushered to the canteen where we were served with a reasonable breakfast coffee etc (some people seemed to be offered Prosecco but not us!!).
We then were given our 90 minute access to the Spa Facilities.
Relaxing it wasn't.. We seemed to have picked a day when there was construction work going on in the car park (asphalting) which meant all we could hear was the loud drone of a mechanical thumper working overtime.. It was REALLY LOUD!! - this conjoined with the loud gurgling of the pools plumbing and the less than adequate soundproofing in the building the whole experience was awful.
The most amazing thing was the massages which went very well, again, as the treatment rooms are located adjacent to the Spa's Reception hearing what the staff had been up to being discussed outside was rather off-putting.
We certainly will not be coming back for the Spa Package again as there are other resorts close by that offer a more relaxing, noise free environment at a cheaper price.
We will, however, give the restaurant a try
