A fantastic pub and hotel, with always a wake greeting, great staff, incredible homemade food 😁 Which is rare in a town like this , smooth and delicious pints , and just an array of a menu all home cooked food and staff that make you feel at home worth a visit not just once but more then you can for a great pub hotel and staff , worth the visit

Excellent, friendly service from Kristine in the restaurant for the evening meal and also by a young waiter (name unknown) for lunch. The food was nicely presented and tasted delicious. The hotel room was clean and comfortable. Plenty of parking spaces also at the back of the hotel. Would definitely return if in the area again.

Stayed one night and had dinner in hotel - from a wander down the main road next morning I suspect the hotel is probably the best place to eat. The hotel is convenient for the town centre and has adequate parking to the rear - drive round to the road behind to access. We thought the hotel gave excellent value for money, our room was good for the price. Bed was comfortable, lots of tea, coffee etc sachets, bath and shower. We had breakfast next morning, both cooked and Continental items available from the menu, just paid for the items we wanted so could chose how much we actually wanted. Would definitely stay here again if in the area.

When in Worksop this place never fails. It really is a gem of a hotel. Stayed for the 3rd time this year in Room 208. A modern tastefully decorated comfortable room with a large bath and a separate shower. Food and drink service was good and had breakfast in the room this morning. Delicious Omlette Would whole heartedly recommend the Lion for an affordable bit of class.

My friends and I had particularly chosen this place as we’d noticed they offered a vegan BLT on their lunchtime menu. We’d all bought drinks whilst reading the menu, I knew what I wanted! The server came back to notify me that it wasn’t available. He could only offer the Penang curry from the main menu (£12:95) then, as an after thought he offered a jacket potato without butter as a main! The curry was bland and cold. My three friends were all happy with theirs, two having filled baguettes (£7:95) which came with a nice side salad. The other friend did have a jacket potato and filling. I paid over the odds for a poor quality lunch. The apple crumble with vegan cream was perfect! Disappointing lunch.

Absolutely loved this hotel . We went for one of the top suits and well worth the money . The staff were so friendly and look after you. We will be using this hotel now as are regular stop off point for future journeys down south.

We have stayed before and enjoyed it which is why we came back. It was freezing outside but the room was so warm and stayed that way all night, brilliant. We didn't eat here but have done previously. Everything in the room was fine and we will certainly be back.

Terrible hotel! They delete all the bad google reviews. Would avoid at all cost I thought would ignore the bad reviews since there were some good ones. The hotel is old and run down needs a new heating system it's freezing cold in the rooms other guests I spoke to also complained about the same thing. The rooms need renovating and bed was extremely uncomfortable had a terrible night here and wouldn't stay here again.

This hotel has had a big refurbishment in the last couple of years. No longer Best Western, its part of Fraser’s Group. It has improved everything, and is an excellent place to stay. Friendly staff, very comfortable beds, excellent wifi throughout, there’s very little to fault. Centrally situated in Worksop with free parking. Highly recommended.

Lovely clean room. Comfy huge bed. Great bath and shower.with very big towels . Lots of different teas and some coffee. staff very friendly. Breakfast was lovely.. cereals , pastries( croissants were very good) Very good vegetarian breakfast. Would definitely recommend and shay here Asian .
