Show more...Beautiful old building beautiful modern hotel This is the fourth time we have stayed in this hotel. I think now I should tell the rest of the world what a little gem it is. You'll get a very warm welcome at reception, and each time you return, it'll feel like you're coming home. There's a “happy family” sort of atmosphere, where nothing is too much trouble, and you're made to feel like one of the family. I asked one of the bar staff why this should be, and he said it was because everybody employed at the hotel enjoys their job and takes pride in their work. The hotel is housed in a Victorian building and was built when quality was important and things were meant to last. The same ethos was applied when converting the old building to a modern hotel. From the polished wooden flooring to the bathroom fixtures and fittings to the beautiful decor, everything says quality. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary on our last visit and had booked in for two nights and decided to eat in the cosy and intimate hotel restaurant. The service was warm and friendly and the staff showed a good knowledge of the menu. I had tempura calamari to start, which had a beautiful crispy batter. For the main course, we both opted for the beef fillet. I can honestly say that the beef was as good as any we have ever been served. We finished with the cheese board, which had enough choice to please and came with a wealth of grapes and some very tasty dates. It was a lovely meal that complimented the occasion and helped to make it a very memorable time. We shall return for a fifth and no doubt more visits when we can. If you're looking for a good quality hotel with lots of local amenities on the doorstep of the scenic Gower Peninsula and you like being pampered, then look no further than Morgans Hotel.

Show more...We thoroughly enjoyed our stay from start to finish. The receptionists were extremely friendly and helpful. Our room was spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated, the added extras such as robes, biscuits etc were much appreciated. The Sunday lunch was superb, as was the service. This was our fourth stay at this hotel and we will definitely return.
Show more...Fantastic stay again. Lovely food and friendly staff. Room really nice again in the main house! It was busy which was nice to see. It is a lively place to stay if on business or leisure. We would highly recommend and we would definately stay again.
Show more...I had a wonderful stay. The receptionist Amy was wonderful and couldn’t do any more to make my stay enjoyable. I was given a lovely upgrade to a suite which was outstanding. The room was very big with a large bath which was great for a good soak. The bed was very comfortable.

Show more...I stayed in the Georgian and it’s the nicest room I’ve ever stayed in. The decor was amazing even down to the period furniture and paintings on the walls. The entrance hall was amazing. The staff friendly and very helpful from the start of our stay, where they personally escorted us to our room, all the way through to check out. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to everyone
Show more...Stayed for 1 night in the Henry Belle room, priced at over £250 a night. A few issues we noticed room was very big with great bathroom but a few small items let it down. You could not see the full screen of the massive TV whilst laying in bed due to the rise on the sofa. The flap is missing on the heating controls and the light switches are a bit worn. Dimmer type. The coffee machine is on the opposite side of the room from the coffee pods? No hot chocolate. We booked into the restraunt for 7pm was seated and noticed a strange sewage type smell, we mentioned it to the server and they apologised as they could also small it to. We were offered to eat in the champagne lounge but the rugby was on and loud. We ended up in Wagamama instead. A very nice hotel but I felt it was overpriced for the level of detail.
Show more...What a lovely place to visit. From the minute I arrived I was made to feel welcome until the minute I left. Everyone is so friendly. The 3 course meal I chose was perfect to which I really enjoyed, also the breakfast the following day was also great. Again the staff were amazing.

Great breakfast, thank you to Mandy, Luke and all the team, especially the chef for my daily fix of eggs royale which were perfect. Good selection of yogurt and fruit, coffee and pastries. The room was large and comfortable, although the room lighting is rather low and would benefit from stronger light bulbs or additional lamp as not really good enough for make up or reading. Lovely soft mattress topper and quilt. The room overlooked the car park and, surpisingly as we live in a quiet village, we weren't bothered by the road noise. Great shower over bath with double adjustable waterfall, plenty of hot water, lovely Molton & Brown products. Easy to park in the car park, good location for the town and to get onto the main road to go east or west. Plenty of local restaurants and bars, particularly in Wind Street opposite the hotel. We loved the Bamboo bar and nearby Madeira Restaurant( Portuguese) and Lotus (Thai restaurant). Very busy that weekend as 6 nations matches, but all in good spirits. Reception team are very helpful and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. Had dinner in the restaurant, again very good service and food, the hake was excellent as was the braised rib of beef. Enjoyed cocktails in the bar, amazing pornstar martinis. Our first visit to Swansea and we packed a lot in with a walk from the hotel to the Mumbles and from Rhosilli to Worms Head as well as a trip around the town, marina and the National Waterfront Museum. Actually had four dry days which made a huge difference. Would definitely return to the hotel if we are ever in the area.
