Show more...The market is quite amazing with lots of alleys. There are old synagogues which you can find on your own but for a more detailed look, there are tours. The market has some spectacular gold shops
Show more...The place is good with lot of shops for different stuff especially clothing. But dont buy leather stuff here. We went to a store called ozege deri owned by murat ozege. The leather materials looked good. But we were given fake things and when we found out it was not of good quality (the color was coming off) returned and we were yelled at for asking for the money. The owner murat has a very obnoxious attitude. Just avoid leather clothing. Turkish businesses cannot be trusted especially businesses claiming to be selling original top quality leather clothing.
Show more...Visited the markets several times throughout our stay. Some of the workers are quite aggressive to try and get you into their shops. Some of the market workers are lovely and not pushy trying to sell you stuff, we learned it's best to ignore them and just walk past as they will keep following you if you talk to them. Some good deals in some stalls, some are very overpriced you need to shop around. Very crowded too so need to be aware of pickpockets
Show more...Kemeralti bazaar is located in maze of streets and there is every kind of shops available. Shop keepers likes to invite to there stores, but nobody forced us. We also bought few stuffs but make sure to bargain before buying anything. Lots of Food options are there near to Hisar Mosque. Overall its a nice place to go, even if you dont want to buy anything.
Show more...You can find almost everything you need in this market, from jewelry to fish etc. take your camera with you and be prepared to taste the delicious local food while you shop and take pictures.
Show more...Me and my mum just got back from the bazar and is so full of opportunities and offers of everything you want. The Shop owners--- just super polite and we had the best ever apple hot tea in this lady shop! And you are allowed to smoke mosley everywhere super pleasant walk around!
Show more...There was a wide variety of products and food. The people were friendly although one couple mistake that for being intrusive and aggressive. I made a number of friends in the shops who offered to haggle for me in English as my Turkish was not good. The market is very big and needs good time for you to satisfactorily explore all options. Two traders offered to source for me the items I needed. All I did was sit in their air conditioned shops, sip on a perfect cup of Turkish tea and water and wait for them to bring the suppliers to me. The quality of stuff I bought (tshirts and sneakers) may not be the authentic stuff but is CX lose to the real Thing in look and feel. I have no regrets apart from the suitcase I bought which was in pieces within the first 5 mins of buying it… heheh we laughed it all off as part of the experience. I like that if a shoe size did not fit I was allowed an exchange and in some
Cases a refund. How kind. Kemeralti market … a must-visit
There is a lot of variety of shops over a vast area. Mainly value for money shops. Just very hot in August. Best to visit when cooler
Show more...The bazaar is a unique experience , people will help you and are friendly but try getting your business .
Do not feel threatened in any way they are trying to make a living and be nice at the same time .
I've had 2 people show me around and take me shopping for what I want .
Remember to play the game , if they say 1000 lira you laugh and say 500 , it's a game played by both party's and fun .
I never felt threatened into buying anything , even if you don't buy they offer you a drink of water , tea , coffee etc ..I loved it , very good experience
I had a great time, in the couple of hours that I've spent here. I actually funded an antique shop who had price tags and both a nice handkerchief, and some instrument cords from a music shop with very friendly sellers.
