Very nice park near hotels in downtown and they also offer rental bikes. I enjoyed taking walks here during my week long stay in Houston and enjoying the good weather. Wish they had some type of boat rental or activities on the bayou but was told this was out of season

We went to the park to enjoy a pretty day, get fresh air, get some exercise. We were pleasantly surprised! It was fun to see the tall buildings close by yet be away from the hustle and bustle. We felt safe and enjoyed our time there. We ended up walking about five miles through and around the park.

Great, safe park with a vibrant atmosphere. Lots of things to do outdoors, sightseeing, and relaxation. However, it lacks restrooms/ water fountains. I think that’s the only thing the park needs to be the perfect spot in town!

Our family of 4 walked the Bayou Park Trail. It is a nice easy walk and the bayou offered some water views the entire way. We enjoyed seeing the Lost Lake. This is a nice way to spend a morning or afternoon.

Walked all over downtown Houston and didn't find any green areas. A few bare spaces with no buildings but nothing that looked like a park. Maybe because its January
I yearned for some relief from the non-stop buildings above and below-ground. Certainly not a pretty city. Easy to get around though

Granted I did not choose the best time of year to walk around Houston, but I was disappointed in the park. It boarders the river, which is brown with a lot of debris and trash floating in it. I planned to kayak, but after seeing the state of the river I changed my mind. There are also no cooling stations anywhere and very little shade.

Heard about this place hidden amongst downtown. We hired a couple of bikes and rode up and down the park. Really good fun when the sun was out. Can get busy but free parking and toilets.
Great experience.

Picturesque and green gem of a park in Downtown. Highly recommend, there is tons to do and nice even for a casual walk or bike ride. I saw bat cave, skate park and old historic colonial homes on our bike ride here. Nice view of Houston skyline too!

I grew up in Houston and cannot believe I visited Buffalo Bayou Park for the first time a few days ago. The park is huge, and there are several trails to run and bike. Parking can seem overwhelming, but there is a nice free lot at 150 Sabine (Sabine Promenade). Looking forward to spending a lot more time here when the weather (finally) gets cooler!

I took this tour a few years ago and it was fabulous. This time, there were several young kids on the tour, and their parents did not control them, nor did the tour guide. Sometimes it was hard to hear the tour guides talk because the kids were so loud. They were running all over the boat, banged into me a few times were screaming “ I am a bad boy! I am a bad boy!” Over and over again, sometimes right next to my head and ear. I moved my seat, but you could hear them all over the boat. I paid $30 plus fees for this tour, and I’m disappointed in the parents of the kids, as well as the tour guide. I would not recommend this tour. On the way back to the boat ramp, the tour guy told us that we would see the lights of downtown, and it would be a beautiful, peaceful ride back. Of course, with the kids running around and screaming, my friend got a headache, and I was simply frustrated. The tour guide did nothing. Maybe you will get lucky, and everyone will be respectful; if so, this would be a wonderful way to spend the evening.
