What an amazing experience from the attentive staff to the large roomy catamaran too the amazing steering around 2 storms by Captain Mike. This was the best local cruise I have been on in a very very long time. The captain steered away from not one storm but two and kept us dry through the whole event. The music was great and the staff was very attentive throughout the whole event we even got to see two different sets of dolphins I would highly recommend this to anybody that was choosing to go out to sea day or during the sunset. They also provided wine beer soda water and assorted fruit and vegetable trays it was a perfect snack on the ship while sailing. I also thought it was awesome that they allowed you to bring your own coolers with a few limitations.

After a great trip on the Arabella two years ago, we took another cruise last night. It was even better than the first! The crew, Jimmy, Ben and Pete were excellent, friendly and made the trip fantastic. We were able to venture out into the ocean, under sail for awhile, then finished the trip for a relaxing cruise up the intercoastal waterway under the North causeway drawbridge (twice), then turned back as we approached the South causeway. Highly recommended. We will be back next year with friends!
BTW- I have read negative reviews about people complaining about their cruise being cancelled, but people have to understand they are running a business, and fuel and crew are not cheap. They can't lose money sending an almost empty boat and stay in business. They state very clearly on their website they need at least 12 passengers before they can sail, and you can actually monitor the number of bookings online. We had actually booked two days prior, and saw that only about 6 others had booked, so I was not surprised it was canceled. We received a very apologetic call over two hours in advance, too. Also, others mentioned about the crew asking for tips, and they did mention it once on the beginning of the cruise, but that's it. I gave them a good tip because I felt they went out of their way to make our trip enjoyable and totally deserved it, not because I felt pressured at all. No different than a waitress expecting a tip at any restaurant. Thank you, Fun Cat, we'll be back!

This was the highlight of my birthday week celebration! The captain (I can't remember his name, but I know he used to work in IT) was the perfect person to head this voyage. His demeanor and relaxed attitude just enhanced the trip (not to mention, his vocals to the music were great!).
Our trip started a bit late (2 of the passengers were running a bit late), but they accommodated and extended our trip to make up for the time. It was a perfect day, the weather wasn't too hot, and there wasn't a cloud in the sky. The water was choppy, but that just made the adventure more fun. We could see a bunch of dolphins and stop by Disappearing Island to take a dip in the water.
I would recommend everyone to do this! I live in Winter Park and have been coming to NSB my entire life, and I can't believe this is the first time I have ever done this. I can't imaging this getting old, and I plan to do it again.VERY SOON!
You can't beat $40/person for 2 hours out on the water. You can also bring a cooler with you and pack it full of snacks and drinks (alcohol is permitted). I look forward to doing the Sunset sail and getting a group together for the 3-hour private cruise.

Fire Pennie! She’s horrible. I had booked a private sunset cruise, she had set an appointment for me to view the boat, which went well and She priced me 1400 in February for May 22,2021. She decided to bill me per person instead of a private sunset cruise. Than stated the cruise was 1900, than change the price to 1500. Very bad business. All my guess who traveled from far was very upset as well. Now I have to wait 30 days for a refund

If you’re looking for the best catamaran cruise in the Daytona area, this is it. Captain Troy, Ben and Pete are the BEST! Not only did they make sure everyone was enjoying themselves, but they were a pleasure to sail with as well. We highly recommend the sunset cruise, the views are beautiful, and if you’re lucky like we were you could see a pod of dolphins in the wild! Drinks and snacks are provided, which is a really nice touch, and there is a bathroom on board.

What a beautiful sailing experience!! We motored out through the inlet, then they hoisted the sail and we sailed out into the Atlantic. It was a pretty, calm day so the ocean was really enjoyable. The music was great, they kept the wine and beer flowing, and the snacks were yummy! As the sun began to set, we sailed back into the inlet, past the picturesque lighthouse, and headed up the intracoastal waterway toward New Smyrna for a while, then back to the north toward Ponce Inlet. The beautiful homes and boats along the intracoastal were fun to admire, and the sunset was stunning. The crew was so friendly and attentive. This is a must do!

This was a PERFECT experience. My wife and I took a sunset cruise (as a birthday present). I feared the impersonality of an assembly line cruise operation (get 'em on, get em out, get em back, count the money). Nothing could be further from the truth of the experience. This felt like we were at a relaxed party invited by a couple of friends who own a nice sailboat and are taking it out for the evening. Relaxed but exciting setting off, then the first mate came around to each group of loungers on deck to offer beer, wine, or soft drinks ("just hold up the empty and I'll bring you another"). After a while he made the rounds again with a tray of cheeses, crackers, veggies, and dip. Closer to the end of the trip he would do the same with a bowl of cubed fruits. All of this mind you, clearly prepared at the time - not shrink-wrapped store bought. It felt fresh cut down in the pantry. And not rushed or pushy. Just, as I say, like a perfect relaxed party/outing on the water. We were lucky enough to come upon a pod of manatees swirling/wrestling around each other on the way out, and there was a shrimp boat that the captain steered us behind, so we could see literally 50 to 100 dolphins frolicking in the free food being discarded behind the boat. The temperature was perfect, the water sparkled as it rushed below and past the cat hulls, and we returned to port just as the sun was setting orange on the horizon. It was a perfect. evening. Pleasant crew, beautiful boat, three carefree hours on the water. You should be so lucky.

DO NOT BOOK with this company unless you want to be disappointed when they cancel your reservation 5 minutes before the time you were told to arrive. We only had 6 in our party and were told they needed at least 12 to.sail; so after discussing it, we decided to pay double, but we were then told the captain and crew were 45 minutes away and they had another booking after ours so we couldn't go. The captain and crew should have already been on site! Poor management is an understatement! Do yourself a favor and book wirh someone else.

Fun Cat's sunset catamaran sail was very enjoyable. Parking for Fun Cat is available at the ice cream stand just up the street. From the time we boarded the golf cart at the ice cream stand that transports you to the boat, we totally enjoyed the evening.
The crew was fun. The views were breathtaking. The extravagant homes and yachts seen along the way are spectacular. Drinks and snacks were generously served by a member of the crew. A play list of music with a good variety suited everyone's taste.

My family of 14 (plus 1 baby) sailed on the sunset cruise the day before thanksgiving. We all had a GREAT time! Weather was perfect, beer/wine/crackers/fruit/cheese were plentiful, the captain had a great playlist and his crew was very attentive! The captain let the 20-somethings in our group get behind the wheel and “pretend” they were maneuvering the catamaran which was a lot of fun for them. We also saw plenty of dolphin. My family came from all over (Georgia, Illinois, Montana, Missouri and Colorado) but I am local to this area and I didn’t even know that Fun Cat Sailing existed. I will be sure to book again in the future when I have friends/family visiting me in Florida. It is a really pleasant and enjoyable thing to do with the ones you love. Well done!
