Wellpark Brewery in Glasgow is home to more than 450 years of brewing tradition and award winning beers. We've been part of Scotland and its culture for generations. This is a chance to learn about the rich heritage of one of the country's most loved brands as well as about the production processes that have taken place at Wellpark from through the centuries up to today. Follow us from the very origins of brewing at Wellpark, to present day support of and passion for Scottish music and football. As well as a rare collection of vintage and retro Tennent's packaging, there's a chance to watch your favourite Tennent's adverts from over the decades and also a shop to buy exclusive Tennent's goodies... And to top it all off, there might even be a cheeky wee taste of Scotland's Favourite at the end of the tour in it for you. Tasty.
Show more...A fantastic tour at a very reasonable price, even if you aren't that keen on lager it is a fantastic retelling of the history of Glasgow and its trade. Our guide Tony was fantastically passionate about the history of the brand and the city. We look forward to returning for some of of the wider tours that will be on offer later in the year.
Show more...We had an absolute ball yesterday on the tour of Wellpark. Fenna showed us around and she was fantastic throughout. Her knowledge and humour made the trip even more interesting. The balance between the historical side and brewing was perfect.
At the end we had the crispest pint of Tennents I’ve ever had… no shock there! I also paid £5 to sample three Tennents export products. I’d highly recommend trying this, it was a fun way to end the tour and the amount of beer provided for a fiver was generous.
We really enjoyed our time at Wellpark Brewery. We found the museum to be really interesting and the items brought back many memories of Tennents Lager from deep in our memory. The tour of the brewery followed and our guide was Leo who was a lot of fun and looked after our diverse group very well. At the end of the tour Leo took us to the Tennents bar where we all enjoyed a pint of unpasturised lager which can only be enjoyed at this location.
On reflection, and although we enjoyed our time at Wellpark, the actual brewery tour was not as comprehensive and detailed as I would have liked. I really did not gain a good understanding of the making of Tennents Lager.
We did the whisky masterclass with Tony. It was a brilliant couple of hours with a really engaging presentation on each whisky that had been selected. The setup was very professional but relaxed and informal at the same time. A selection of nibbles was a nice touch and pairing these with the whisky types added to the overall experience.
We were encouraged to ask questions and Tony was able to answer our various queries about the history of whisky in Scotland as well as different ways to enjoy whisky.
Overall, this was a first class evening with a great host presenting lovely whisky. Highly recommended.
Fun, entertaining, and informative tour. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and personable, but I would have preferred less technical explanations and more light hearted discussion, but that’s just me. The tour ends with a beer tasting, but I’d highly recommend getting the extended tasting to sample more of the local drink.
Show more...I had a blast doing the whisky tasting with Tony! He made me feel really welcome as someone who knows nothing about whisky, and he kept us entertained for the entire two hours. Well worth the money and well worth the time!

And had great fun! Craig was very knowledgable and we had a right laugh. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Bonus you get a beer at the end too! We extended the beer tasting to the try 3 others which where well worth the £5 at the end!
We had a wonderful time on the brewery tour this afternoon. Tony was excellent - we learnt loads about the process and history of the brewery and topped it off with pints and samples of the different beers which are not readily available in the UK otherwise. Brilliant all round - everything is very modern and clean. There were 10 of us on the tour so it was intimate and we were well looked after.
Show more...I visited the brewery with my son who is very keen on the stuff. I have to confess to not being very keen. We spent 25 minutes looking at the wee exhibition in the visitor centre before the tour began, which is worth doing. The tour took an hour and was very informative. The session in the pub at the end of the tour took as long as it takes you to drink a pint, unless you are staying for the optional extra. Our guide, Alice, was very well informed and spoke quickly but very clearly. At the end you get a pint of unpasteurised Tennents and it was excellent! I really enjoyed it. We also partook in the optional tasting of 3 extra beers displaying different styles of beer none of which are available in the UK. I enjoyed all of them and I thought it well worth the extra £5 we paid. I would heartily recommend the tour. I would also urge you to try unpasteurised Tennents lager if you can get it ( it is sold in 9 different places in Scotland).
