Show more...We loved the calm and tranquility of this place away from the busy Llandudno and Conway. Nice flat promenade runs from the railway station with lovely views accross to Conway and Anglesey.
Also nice little snack hut selling ice cream, drinks and light bites.
Well worth the visit.
Stoney beach, lovely views, it was quiet but clearly popular if that makes sense. No litter. great for dog walking, taking the kids, collecting stones, skimming etc
Show more...Found this little beach next to llandudno. Great find, parked in a little car park off an estate and walked over the bridge to the beach. Parking free. Tide in at the time walked right along (10 mins) and found a sandy beach with shells, sand dunes, and perfect coastline. Spent hours here collecting shells, my son paddled in the sea. A few passers by with dogs but it was very quiet and tranquil. Well looked after beach. Will return here. 10 out of 10.
Show more...This is a stony beach with strong currents at various states of the tide, being part of the Conwy estuary. However, the views are stunning, across the estuary to the hills that lead into Snowdonia and the Conwy marina. The Victorian arcade of shops across the road from the beach and the railway station offer a range of food sources and antique shops.
Show more...Myself husband and Labrador visited this beautiful beach on a gloriously sunny Saturday afternoon.
We walked up to Llandudno west beach were a convenient bowl of water was waiting outside the cafe.
We passed many walkers exercising their dogs and all had an amazing time.
I walk here several times a month, simply because it is one of the most beautiful places on earth in my humble opinion!! Walking along Deganwy beach you can see the Conwy Estuary stretch up to and beyond Conwy Castle and views up the Conwy Valley and then if you look back the other way, the estuary is fringed by beautiful Conwy Mountain, the boats moored outside the Mulberry and the gorgeous golden sands of Morfa beach on the opposite side. The view pans along the granite mountain of Penmaenmawr and over the Isle of Anglesey and Penmon Island and then across the horizon where it meets the Great Orme and West Shore beach. The beach itself is a mix of rocks and sand, has a recently refurbished promenade and is soon to have the bandstand renovated with Lottery funding following storms a couple of years ago. There's a great little Beach Hut offering Hot and cold drinks, snacks and ice creams and an open green area and sand dunes before it opens out onto a links Golf Course. There is also a path that will take you all the way along to West Shore Beach (and another great café!) so a circuit of walking can be done with plenty of refuelling along the way.
Show more...We feel very lucky to have moved to Deganwy where we can walk over the footbridge and be on the coastal path. Either to walk to North Shore one way or Conwy the other. Along the path to North Shore there are sandy beaches where you could picnic on a nice day or walk your dog in the beach. The beach is very clean and views of Anglesey and Puffin Island as well the Welsh hills.
