We had the thermal journey and lunch. I thought the price was ridiculous for what you actually got. The starter was 7 pound and it was gone in 4 bites. The main course was substantial however in my opinion it’s not worth it. I would however 100 percent recommend the massages and the thermal journey, just don’t bother with any food. Staff were great!

Booked the superfood Elemis facial whilst staying at Ribby Hall, as a pregnant lady this was recommended to me and was absolutely perfect.
The therapist followed all safety guidelines and made sure I felt comfortable before we started, I was given a booklet afterwards to say which products were used on me should I want to purchase them.
The spa was beautiful and wished I could’ve spent all day there!

Had a balcony suite with view to the lake in front of the Hotel. Loved it
The 2h Spa experience was amazing and they didn’t rushed us, plenty of time loads of saunas and steam rooms with different experiences, the outside area and hot jacuzzis are amazing and a bar
Couldn’t have asked for more
Dinner was really good fresh and good quality
Breakfast a la carte, all fresh and amazing
Didn’t want to leave
Friendly staff and professional
The village is awesome with more restaurant, a Spar, activities, trail, a zoo
Definitely want to come back

The spa at Ribby has been drastically reduced following Covid procedures. The only experiences in the thermal journey are 2 hot tubs (2 people allowed per tub) and the indoor pool. Unfortunately this lead to quite a hostile environment as people were literally queuing to use the outdoor hot tubs. We witnessed harsh words being said and people undercutting others in the wait. When you do finally get tour turn you feel under pressure with everyone waiting for you get out!

The spa staff didn’t seem to be enjoying their jobs, I don’t think I saw one smile the whole time we were there! We had our treatments booked before our aqua thermal journey, so I asked if we’d be able to get our robes prior to going up. Unfortunately this was a no, so after being oiled up we had to redress to go downstairs to then get our robes. Not the level of customer service I’d expect from Ribby.

That said our massages were lovely, although the usual option to spend time in the relaxation suites and the offer of a glass of water following treatments seem to have gone- I’m assuming Covid has restricted this too.

Spa & lunch with my sisters. I was disappointed that it was not female only, we felt a bit uncomfortable in the thermal journey with men. Maybe you could put on special days for women only. Nice that you could leave on your robe while having lunch instead of redressing as we had a massage booked after lunch. Also felt it was a bit overcrowded in the thermal journey.

Went for a couples spa day! What a phenomenal thermal suite. Beautiful and clean! There were plenty of saunas and steam rooms offering various benefits. Two large and toasty warm outdoor hot tubs. Not to mention a fully equipped out door bar. The changing rooms were spotless and came with GHD hair dryers and GHD straighteners. The showers were all rainfall showers heads and had complementary Elemis body wash, shampoo and conditioner. After our time in the spa we went to the Orangery for Lunch which was DELICIOUS!
Ribby Hall spa is a little expensive but you get what you pay for! I would absolutely go again.

Having stayed many times i have always loved attending the spa with groups of friends for a chill out and a good catch up! My return visit on 24th Jan 2014 was NOTHING like i have ever experienced! Actual hotel staff are lovely and the restaurant is amazing!! The spa left alot to be desired!!!

I paid £70 for a treatment which was an Elemis facial, one of the expensive facials mind you!! Previously cannot fault the treatment, this time it was AWFUL! Being an experienced therapist myself and educator in beauty therapy, i expected that a 5star spa would follow treatment procedures and this is not the case. The therapist in question was more straight out of college and not had not had the right treatment training, either that or she couldnt be bothered!

Parts of the treatment were missed out and i was extremely uncomfortable throughout, i proceeded to complain to the dm straight after my treatment where i was told that my treatment was done correctly, and that a small part of the massage was not done. This is not acceptable!! All i got was sorry and a glass of champagne voucher.

I then decided to return the vouchers as i felt i had been lied to and the treatment i received was wrong, and wrote to the spa manager.

I have explained my frustration, and sent the treatment procedure where the manager admitted i had not received what id paid for and that she could only offer me 25% refund. I paid for a full treatment, the treatment i have received is NOT what i paid for therefore i deserve 100% refund. I think her customer service is absolutely disgusting, to have to argue this point and get her up to 50% refund was difficult!

As a professional in the beauty business the service this spa has given is one not to trusted! You will be paying for something which is NOT Correct and i urge you to look elsewhere!!

I have also taken this to Elemis direct to report them as what i received was barely college standard!

Due to go here tomorrow. My husband booked and paid for a two bedroom suite back in November (he paid then in full for a Spa break for 3). 5 weeks ago I phoned to book the Spa so that my sister, Mum and myself could have a pamper as well. They had three appointments left on the Sunday morning which was perfect.
HOWEVER because I didn't know the exact treatments we would all be having I wasn't even allowed to provisionally reserve these until just the next day. The snotty attitude of the lady in the Spa did nothing whatsoever for me - a "NO" person without an ounce of discretion, warmth or level of customer service. When someone has paid nearly £400 for accommodation 6 months in advance for one night I think better service is entitled. I would have cancelled had it not been for the fact this had been a gift and had been paid.
To make matters worse I e-mailled a complaint to the hotel two weeks ago as this was still annoying me and this has to date not even been acknowledged. I think it's clear that the place we are coming to is just about the money, wouldn't recommend this to anyone, there are far better spa hotels to enjoy and I'd recommend you look elsewhere.
We're coming tomorrow for a Spa break without the Spa - great!!!

We went for the Aqua Thermal Journey in the spa - an amazing journey through various heated rooms, including an outdoor hot tub, a hydrotherapy pool and foot spas - there is even crushed ice to rub on your body! The spa is beautiful, decorated in a simple but effective Japanese Zen Stylee, with obviously a lot of money spent on it. Personally, I found it all a bit much but that may be me and my peri menopausal metabolism. If you like spas, hot tubs, saunas, steam rooms etc, this is the place for you. It is also child free, which makes it far more relaxing. The juxtaposition of the indoor and outdoor experience was well thought through, and for £54 per couple, including towels and slippers and use of showers with Elemis toiletries, this was a good deal. Recommend.

I booked a spa treatment with a voucher bought for me by my children it was £40 .i called to book and asked what was available. To be honest for £40 there wasn’t a lot ,so I picked the back massage.i was told to arrive 15 mins before my appointment which i did .i arrived at 1.15 for a 1.30pm appointment. At 1.34 a young lady Escorted me to the treatment room where she checked through this form I had to fill out. Then asked me to get undressed and face down . I then had the massage which didn’t seem to last very long . After getting dressed and walking out to the car park i checked my watch and it was Exactly 2 PM. I called the reception on my way home and asked how long the treatment should take and she said 30mins i didn’t get anything like that .. that why I didn’t think it was good value . The place it self is very nice but i wont be going back
