Appalachians Outdoor Adventures

Half day trip was exceptional. Awesome people, food and guided tour in the mountains. It was beautiful.

The terrain was was so much fun, not just driving in a mellow field. Speeds up to 33 miles per hour (for us), does not sound all that fast but with these trails, was exhilarating. Scott gave hand signals for each turn and you knew what he was telling you without even hearing an explanation before hand. A few times he stopped if more description was needed and he would walk down the line of vehicles letting people know what to expect. The equipment was very well maintained and most brand new.

Lunch was delicious , hot sandwiches (high quality meats and bread) and a big variety of snacks, healthy and treats. Different for kids but similar. A lot of thought went into it and a big variety of drinks included.

Bathrooms were more like on suites and very clean. NOT outhouses.

The experience was exceptional. We will definitely be joining them again in the future.

I surprised my Dad with the ATV ride for his birthday. Our experience could not have been any better! Dyan and Scott run a fantastic business without it actually feeling like a “business”, we felt like we were just hanging out with friends! Dyan was our guide for the day and she was great! Their equipment is top notch and extremely well maintained. You will get a very thorough tutorial before heading out. We both have lots of experience riding so that made the day even better but Dyan is very good at what she does so beginners are more than welcome. We were able to stop a few times and take in beautiful views and never once felt rushed or like we were just another name on a list. After a very exciting/thrilling ride, we finished up with a great lunch. So much of the time, these types of things are boring and you barely pick up any speed and go on straight/level trails that is not the case at all here! We will most definitely be back, we are already planning our next trip!

What a wonderful day we had with Appalachian Outdoor Adventures. We visited North Carolina with our travel buddies and all 8 of us had a fantastic experience. We both rented the Talons and our tour was headed by Scott. He was a great guide with so much experience. He led us through the woods over different terrains and we stopped along the way to take scenic pictures. Both Scott and his wife Dylan are super easy to talk to and very welcoming. Midway through our tour we stopped for lunch. It was some very good warm sandwiches with different sides snacks and drinks. We got to sit and eat with the resident doggies which were so loving and sweet. If you’re into great adventures, don’t miss these guys. They’re wonderful. Thank you Dyan and Scott!!

I booked this adventure as a surprise for my girlfriend and me. The entire experience was fantastic from start to finish. Dyan was helpful in booking the trip over the phone. Scott was a great guide, clearly explained how to operate the Talon, which looked practically brand new, and made sure my girlfriend was comfortable. Scott and Dyan’s ability to create an experience that can be enjoyed by both a first timer and someone like myself who has driven UTVs many times was impressive. We will definitely be back! Thanks

We booked this during an Asheville vacation (well worth the drive). As the title says, it was really a wonderful experience as we felt as if we were visiting friends that just happened to own a bunch of ATVs. The Brushy Mountain Motor Sports Park is just an amazing section of land that seems well taken care of.
The great thing about this experience was that you got to split the day between two really nice ATVs. First we drove the two seater Z-force 800cc. We drove these on the more technical sections of the park and they were a blast. The second half was spent on the Honda Talon 1000cc four seater. Again just a blast to drive. It’s really cool to be able to try both of these amazing ATVs.
Scott and Dyan were really fun and took the time to get us comfortable with the machines. The lunch was really great and homemade. They made stops along the trail to take our pictures which was nice. Overall it is well worth it and on the top three Asheville memories, up there with hot air ballooning and whitewater rafting. You’ll definitely get your ATV fix!

Family of 3 with 13 year old son who had the BEST day! Dyan and Scott run their business very well it was so organized from the time I inquired to the time we got there she made sure we had everything we needed and sent reminders and explained everything. We were lucky and was the only family that day so not only was the park closed to others we were the only family riding that day. We rode many different trails and in different directions so it made the day super fun. The homemade warm sandwiches were delicious and also came with many other snacks and drinks it was a nice break in between riding. After we were done riding my son got to cool off in the creek. We all really enjoyed the day and was well worth it all!! If you are looking to book an adventurous day riding side by sides don’t look no further call Dyan and Scott you won’t be disappointed!

With both of us being in the medical field, we finally had a vacation after 18 months due to COVID. Overall, the trail and ATVs were fun. I wanted a lower key ride so it was perfect for me. With my husband being an ex Army Ranger, he would have enjoyed a more extreme adventure. We knew the rules and followed them so we were both floored when he was accused of "spinning the tires". Scott later apologized to which we both told him that was not necessary but I did thank him for his apology. Scott continued to be angry and even invited us to leave. Again, we were floored as we never became upset and were literally dumbfounded as to what was occurring. We did have a good time but Scott's actions were too erratic to ignore.

It’s difficult to find things that your pre-teen will enjoy but we definitely did with this one! Dyan and Scott were great guides with my family on our recent adventure! They customized the level of adventure to my family’s comfort level and everyone (2 on ATVs and 5 in 2 different side-by-sides) had a great time. Dyan is very responsive to communication (but will often need to return your call if she’s on the mountain). She worked extra hard to book my whole family together instead of having to split up into different days. Book early because this is an adventure your family doesn’t want to miss.

We visited Appalachians Outdoor Adventure on our Fall Foliage trip. This was a great day. The operators were very friendly and helpful. Beginning the day with a safety briefing and then an operational overview of the vehicles we would be driving. This was very well done and extremely helpful throughout the day. Then off to the rugged mountain trail we went. Our guide was very knowledgeable as he led us through the forest, up and down the mountain trails. He stopped at choice spots for photos. After a time of riding it was back to the start spot for a great lunch already prepared for us. After lunch we were back on the trails again. The equipment that takes a beating every day on those rocky trails was in excellent condition. All in all a great value for the price you pay.

I cannot say enough about our phenomenal experience today with Appalachian Outdoor Adventures! Both Dyan and Scott are expert, professional, and personable. They patiently trained each driver in the group and coached us during the adventure up the mountain. We stopped at several sites with breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and valleys and had plenty of time for photos. I highly recommend Appalachian Outdoor Adventures as a “must do” when visiting the area!
