It’s nice little park in the area.
Quite. Clean.
small but good for walking around and setting on the benches to have some fresh air and rest.

Gorgeous hidden treasure in Sale, lovely to walk through and picnic in. Venture far enough in and the traffic noise disappears leaving an idyllic little spot. Will definitely return.

Really lovely little garden if you want to sit in the sun and maybe read a book.

Be warned it’s quiet small and you can go round the entire garden in maybe 10-15 minutes so I’d bring a picnic and maybe something to do if you want to make the most of it.

Very clean and tidy but sometimes the sheer volume of kids but lack of space means they can run riot quite quickly.

I'd heard them bandied about : Hidden gem, Undiscovered Treasure. Those sayings are true as far as Walkden Gardens is concerned. A secret place set in suburban Sale with hardly a fanfare from the roads to tell what delights lie within. A Japanese style garden, a genuine long border,a stunning Witeria arch, a labyrinth and a newly planted avenue of pear trees. Sit a spell for a picnic near to the relocated Dovecote. I've lived locally for two decades and this was my first visit. It won't be my last.

This is a delightful oasis in the centre of Sale. Beautiful gardens, all differently designed, are found at every turn. So tranquil and pretty. We have attended numerous outdoor events here too - live theatre, yoga sessions, Christmas carols. A true, hidden gem.

I love Walkden Gardens. It’s completly free to explore and there are different themed areas. A great place to take the family or for a peaceful explore by yourself. Particularly lovely during the summer months. Follow on social media as they often have events. Car parking available and dogs can be taken in on a lead. Take a look!

It's lovely, lots of small sections to walk around in the old Sale botanical gardens. The Japanese garden is my personal favourite. My kids find lots of places to hide and there will be something there for everyone.
