Ibis Birmingham Airport Hotel Bar

Ibis is always dependable for clean, functional rooms and a bit of interesting atmosphere in the common areas. Great location within walking distance to the airport and nice food choices in the lobby.

The Ibis hotel by the Airport is very convenient when flying early hours.
We were given room 315 which had the most creeky bed and we could not accept this. We were then given room 101 which was acceptable but the TV didn't work until a member of staff made adjustments! The restaurant is very good with a reasonable selection. The overall staff are very friendly and it should be remembered that this is a "modern" type hotel with basic amenities.

Great location and easy access to the airport and to the train station. The room was clean and functional. The breakfast was excellent and very good value for money. I stayed three nights which is not ideal in Ibis. Ibis is great for a one-night stay! Novhotel next door had much better rooms , was more expensive but well worth it for a three nights stay, but my family were staying there and they were fully booked so I had to stay at the Ibis. Overall good hotel!

Lovely, clean room with everything we needed for a one night stay. Helpful staff and welcoming. Had dinner in the restaurant. We chose freshly made pizza Yummy.

Stayed here last night before our flight this morning. Fantastic welcome on arrival, wonderful vibrant atmosphere and staff. Dinner was cracking in the bar as was breakfast this morning. Room very comfortable and a great shower. Will stay here again!!

Arrived yesterday and checked in very quickly and cheerfully. Room although small was clean and had all you wanted but the thing that made it 5 star was the bar staff. When my wife mentioned it was her birthday the drinks we had ordered were on the house and then a slice of rather good chocolate fudge cake was brought out with a candle in it.
A lovely start to our holiday. Thanks very much.

Stayed here last year for one night due to early flight the following morning which is why we chose to do the same again this year. What a difference a year makes! Restaurant has been totally transformed & not for the better. The menu was bizarre & food looked pretty dismal if you eventually got it. We decided to go over to airport & eat at Frankie & Bennys! However, prior to us eating, we sat at the bar in the restaurant & had a couple of drinks. This is where the fun began! There were 2 young Chinese lads serving & it was only the second day for one of them. We asked for a Bloody Mary & had to explain what it was, point to the bottle on the shelf, ask for ice & tell him how to do it. He said they had no Tabasco or Worcestershire sauce! My husband called over the manager & asked for the sauces & we were told they don't make Cocktails! I nearly fell off my barstool from laughing. It would appear that staff training is none existent & actually felt quite sorry for the young lad. None of them could pull a proper pint either. Really disappointed as changes are usually for the better, not in this case. Get your act together IBIS. You have a massive audience to impress & there are plenty of other hotels to stay in.

Stayed there 1night before flying, this included the parking, (this worked out just a couple of quid extra over the main airport parking fee's) nice a close to the airport for very early start.
Reception was friendly. The room clean tidy and had all you want from a airport hotel.
