Show more...It was so good great cocktails they take pictures of you and it’s stunning the view is great d is very average but the drinks make up for it pool is nice and there’s a big slide. They have an event each night so it keeps it good
Show more...definitely not a 5 star , first the good points , spotlessly clean, beautiful views, great room, good service mostly, very plentiful food selection, lots of room in dining room , plenty of sunbeds, good shuttle to the beach. the beach pool was very good , very cold but bearable The bad: the food although amazing was never hot , only from cooking stations, always lukewarm at best, the pool at hotel was so cold that hardly anyone was in it, despite the hotel being packed, we did get in but it was paralysing so we could not stay in, There was not enough room to sit comfortable at night, had to scrabble for a seat or some one had to leave dining early to save a seat. Do not come here if you like going out and about, 1 euro on local bus to Altinkam/Didim , but it takes 45 mins and is packed to capacity, 25 euros in a taxi for 4 each way, 6 of us and Hotel only does for 4, ok location if you like it quiet. Coffee was awful at all locations, 3star at best
Show more...My husband and I went for a last-minute break in September and I wish I had listened to the negative reviews. This is not a 5-star hotel due to the food, drinks and attitude of some staff (not all) it is more like a 3 star. Airport Transfer Took us over 3 hours as the minibus waited for two other flights to arrive before we set off, we were sitting on the bus for about an hour and a half - not a great start. Arrival Reception guy that greeted us was very pleasant and told us about the hotel then showed us to our room, he was extremely excited to tell us several times that we had a mini bar, when he left we opened the fridge and found one bottle of water!! Room Our room was located above the reception area, it was small but clean the balcony was huge and we had a lovely view however the bed was rock hard and the top sheet was not wide enough to cover us both (we are not large) you could not leave the aircon on whilst out as they only provide you with one key card, towels and bath mat were ripped. WiFi Non-existent, management are aware but don't really care, if you were lucky you could pick it up occasionally in the reception area Food Terrible !! Breakfast was OK but expect to wait a long time if you want an omelette. Lunch and dinner were awful, the food was cold and really greasy, I had a piece of fish one lunchtime that was rock hard, plates were chipped and the staff were miserable. The snack bar is a joke, everyday it serves chips, overcooked burgers and chicken nuggets, pastry with dry fetta cheese and salad that is swarming with flies. The coffee shop should not be called a coffee shop it had a self-serve coffee machine and a few cakes, the ice cream is only available in the afternoon, I asked if I could have mine in a paper cup as I did not want a cone and they said no. We didn't bother to go to the a la carte night which is a set menu, one night fish one night steak. We heard too many people complaining about it. Drink Awful !! Local spirits and watered-down beer. The snack/pool bar only served beer, paint stripper vodka and soft drinks, cocktail of the day that was so sweet and the fruit juices that were also concentrated syrups. All drinks from the pool bar are served in paper cups that leak although you can have a plastic straw! The lobby bar provides your drink in a glass if you are staying near the reception area you have a bit more choice of local drinks like rum or gin however they are still questionable. Entertainment At last a positive - big shout out to all the entertainment team especially Kani, Mary and the lovely photographer lady. They are a credit to this hotel and work extremely hard. They always had time for a chat and were a delight to talk to, they made the atmosphere in the hotel 100 times better. Always upbeat, offered you to join water polo, foam party darts etc but were never pushy. We also watched a couple of really good shows. Pool Lovely large pool that is freezing but looks pretty at night when lit up. We could usually get a sun lounger but if you like the sun be aware that the shade creeps across the whole area and by late afternoon there is one small area near the entertainment part that is in the sun. Grey sun loungers were OK but the white ones were ripped and very uncomfortable. There is another pool by the beach that is owned by the hotel, you can get a free shuttle bus every 20 minutes up to 9.30 pm which is great but the sun loungers are hard plastic and snack food is the same as the hotel, there is also a private part of the beach attached. Our saving grace was a lovely beachfront restaurant that is on the way to the harbour called Olivias, check out their reviews we ate there every night it was wonderful and not expensive. Also, we were lucky to meet some wonderful people during our week's stay. We have visited Turkey many times and this hotel was by far the worst so we will definitely not be coming back.
Show more...Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Food was cold. Chairs falling apart. Staff uninterested When complained about food to guest relations they just told me to go to the restaurant earlier. We went down an hour before end is service so they weren’t interested at all Can’t believe this is a Ramada
Show more...Traveled on my own to this hotel, arrived on 1st October and stayed for 2 weeks. The reception staff were very welcoming and spoke very good English and were very helpful throughout the holiday My room was 4704 had a lovely sea view and was very clean and spacious. Lots of sunbeds available around the pool area with plenty of room to chill out and do your own thing. Plenty of choice in the restaurant and pool snack bar - never went hungry. Cant comment on all the drinks as I only tried the beer which was always cold and refreshing ! All the staff were very friendly and polite, this includes bar staff, waiters, housekeeping and the animation team - Cant get that Clap Snap song out of my head :) Will definitely come back again at some point !! Thank you Ramada Akbuk for a lovely holiday
Show more...Airport- straight through no issues Transfer -the driver was selling drinks £1 Akrum 1.5 hrs to Ramada hotel, no issues Rooms - rooms OK tv very basic we ended up finding a radio station that was OK air conditioning works well and bed comfy.Always Brought coffee to the room from coffee bar so didn't need to use faciltys in room.Shower was fine. Free shampoo shower gel and hair condionare.cleaned daily if required. Rooms a little tired but clean. Food - always something to eat , breakfast less choice than other meal times but manged to eat something.Leave something on the table when you go for seconds or the table will be cleared.Resturant very busy at times a little crazy in fact. The restaurant is clean with the odd cat knocking about don't stroke them they are wild cats they will scratch and bite you.Pool bar is open 12-00till 17-00 if you have kids I think they will eat more here than the restaurant. The coffee shop is OK it serves cookies and drinks through the day till about midnight. Drinks - coffee is fine soft drinks seem OK, the beer was not for me a bit flat . Pool - massive pool , cold but in warm heat its a bonus Beach pool - disappointed with beach the area looks very dated the beach surface is more gravel than sand poorly maintained the pool part is separate from the beach this is OK you have a free bus every 20 mins or so this runs early till very late.you get 2 pool towel cards when you arrive you swap these for 2 towels Daily when you take the towels back you get the cards back. Entertainment team - if you like a crazy holiday the ream will keep you busy.At night the entertainments OK Staff - their English is OK, better than my Turkish put it that way, reception OK helped when required. The star is the lady on the security she was a great help with trips ect. Some young guys are a little clever on the pool bar especially one hes always on his phone. Internet - worst I've every experienced signal umreliable in the room and around the pool , in reception and the coffee bar it's just OK if you need Internet you need a plan B because this will frustrate you . Shop- the on site shop sells alot of different items most out outdated and expensive.
Show more...Chose to come to this hotel for my first solo holiday. Staff all lovely and ensured I was okay at all times. Nice and relaxing holiday, lots of sunbeds to pick from during the day. Pool was perfect to cool off during the day. Never went hungry, lots of food choices at all times of the day. Easy to communicate with all members of staff. Overall had a fabulous holiday.
Show more...We recently stayed at this disaster of a hotel which is never a 5 star, there must be hotels in the area missing stars because this hotel has stolen them, at best and at a push this is a 3 star hotel only because of the pool area, spa and the lady housekeeper who attended our room. Our room was basic and tired although the shower room was half decent, lots of cheap toiletries but why did the shower door open inwards ? You have to enter the shower cubicle and close the door to turn the shower on. Reception staff were not interested in English speaking guests possibly because they could not speak much English, this also applied to most of the staff throughout the hotel, bar staff were very ignorant and it always appeared that they were paying for any drinks you asked for. Most drinks were actually disgusting with only the beer tasting like beer but very weak. Food in the restaurant was very poor, same poor menu every day, always cold or luke warm and never covered leaving the flies to have a feast, lots of chipped plates which should have been binned, waiting staff in the restaurant always looked sad and very lethargic in their duties, there answer to changing a table cloth was always to simply turn it over throwing food crumbs on the floor. Pool bar and beach club had the usual hamburgers, chips and salad but at least the food was covered from the many flies but still very poor quality and once again always cold or luke warm. Wifi is non existant in this hotel, very very poor. Only good points in this hotel is the pool area (although the noise of the music will drive you crazy) the spa which is small but decent and the beach club which can be accessed by a regular bus running between the hotel and beach club as it is a 25 minute walk away.
Show more...We had such a lovely holiday in Akbuk! For background, it was me and my partners first holiday to Turkey, I did quite a lot of research before coming about the hotel and area (using trip advisor) so knew kind of what to expect. We have only been to one all inclusive before in Spain and never come to this chain of hotels before. We wanted a “flop” holiday where we didn’t have to do anything all week To begin, we flew London Heathrow-Bodrum, transfer was around 1 hour 20 to the hotel, but this will depend who you go with. Transfer was super easy and we were greeted by security who took names and guided us to reception. Check in process was super simple, needed passports and booking name but no complication. Receptionist spoke good English, and no issues communicating. Room Room was really well presented, mini fridge for snacks and water that were readily available. I kept some medication in there and it stayed cool the entire holiday. Aircon worked a treat after a hot transfer! Bathroom was good, toiletries and towels provided. Showers was really nice! Bed comfy, we requested more bedding from reception and it was bought immediately to our room. Lovely balcony with sea and pool views. Room was cleaned everyday with no worries or hassle. Free safe to use in wardrobe. Pool Was a lovely spacious pool. We spend all of the day at the pool and in the resort and we really like to “fly and flop”. I chose this resort for the pool and services and I was right to do so. The pool is huge with great sun bed availability. If you want sun beds in the sun all day round you need to bagsy them quickly, but we are early risers so didn’t bother us. Animation team are incredible around the pool, really chatty, and super helpful. Jack, Kani, Mary and others were so lovely making us feel invited and getting us involved a bit (we are a bit boring!) no pressure ever though which is always nice. Food Food was good, I wouldn’t say excellent, could be a little cold and was uncovered in the main buffet restaurant which bothered me a little. Just a note, the resort restaurant only serves Turkish cuisine!!!! So don’t expect English breakfast and pizza for dinner (we heard a lot of complaints about this). I really enjoyed trying new foods though, especially breakfast. Lunch could be hit or miss but there was the snack bar at the pool which served “typical British” snacks like nuggets, chips, pizza which we indulged in a lot ahah. Dinner was always lovely with food fresh off the grill and salads chopped in front of you. Drinks were great, never a wait, in my opinion spirits were not great, but the wine was pretty good and the soft drinks were brill and always available. Take or leave my opinion on alcohol though as I am a cheap student so used to bad alcohol. Juice was dreadful and one of my only major complaints, the coffee was absolutely shocking. I was a barista for many years so maybe it’s just me but it was undrinkable. A quick trip to the shops on the beach solved this, as we just bought some instant. We also used the shops on the beach A101 (5 mins from the beach) and the Esin (10/15 mins walk from the hotel) for snacks as well. I just really needed some chocolate bars! You can also use the shop in the resort which is much more continent but much more expensive (90lira for a chocolate bar compared to 10-30lira in Esin/A101) Evenings. If you go in October it gets cool in the evening, bring a couple of jumpers for the evenings. Evening entertainment was amazing, cultural shows, bingo, all sorts. We didn’t bring any cash (young people mistake) and we had to take some out for the evenings to partake in some of the activities like bingo. But it was no hassle, cash point on the beach. Wifi - don’t bother, the WiFi is absolutely shocking here, unusable completely unless in the reception, but even there it is dodgy. This was annoying but not the end of the world. We downloaded some tv before leaving the uk which was a winner as tv is only in Turkish in the rooms (to be expected). All staff are incredible here, so lovely and helpful. Most speak limited English, and it is important the more people visiting learn pleases and thankyous in Turkish. I was only disappointed in some customers disrespect of staff in the restaurant and bars. You must be clear and simple in English. I have a heavy Essex accent and never had a problem with anyone understanding me if I spoke clearly and slowly. Charlie, the English rep was a laugh, we didn’t go on any exertions (just wanted to flop by the pool) but they seemed fun and reasonably priced. He also helped us out with some questions we had which was brilliant. Overall was the holiday I needed. Really relaxing and easy. There could be some improvements in the food and the coffee was such a disappointment, but overall for a week it was good. If you are going for a relaxing holiday this is the place.

We had a really good week's stay at Ramada Resort in October. It was good value, the food was abundant and tasty, great breakfasts with made to order omelettes, and plenty of variety. The evening entertainment was mostly good. We had very nice room with a spacious balcony and the shuttle for the private beach was very quick and efficient. There is nothing else to do in the near vicinity, but we went on two excellent trips - to Ephesus and Pamelukke - world heritage sites. The only thing that spoiled our stay was that my husband's watch appeared to have been removed from a drawer in our room. Luckily, it was not an expensive one. We know that our drawer was opened as I had brought a paper cup with salt to the room to help my husband's stomach. He put it in the drawer for later. That was removed at the same time, so we know the drawer was opened and an item unnecessarily removed. (We were told that the drawer was accessed for cleaning purposes? But why open our drawer?) The Hotel Relations Manager (or similar title) said that "nothing is private unless it is in the safe" and of course we should have put it in the safe, but my husband was under-the-weather and was not as careful as usual. The Hotel Relations team did not handle our situation well and made us feel worse about the situation, but the rest of the staff that we had contact with were warm and friendly. Despite this issue, we still had a good stay and would recommend.
