A lovely cafe and outlook and the nature reserve we really lovely. And it’s very well kept and looked after. Great playground for the kids. But find the cafe food prices ridiculously overpriced. 95p got small package of crisps. £1.70 for a bottle of juice. They are like petrol service station prices at your local park. Seemed to be a lot of staff on the counter but only one person serving and very slow as was taking orders and making drinks and getting people’s orders ready when surely the other members of staff could of helped while the server just took for the orders and people would get served much quicker. Coming from a hospitality and customer service Background found this could be dealt with much more quicker and more efficient.
Show more...Wonderful walks. Trees open space and a lake to walk around.the flowers are lovely too in the summer. The area for children to play is popular and parking can be an issue. Free for an hour and a half ( I think) but you have to put a ticket in from ghetto machines. A nice flat wide path is good for skate boarding or skating. Which I tried.
There are tennis courts and a cafe if you care to walk into the park.
Had a lovely walk around the park with my toddler. Didn't visit the play area due to the pandemic, but the scenery, forest area, river, creeks and lake were beautiful. Parking is free for 3hrs on the Brueton side. They even had a portable coffee van where you could buy a hot drink and snack.
Show more...Took my daughter on her bike and enjoyed a great walk round. Didn't realise there was the nature reserve through the cafe, which is free to enter. Playground Was different, made a nice change from the standard play equipment.
Cafe was reasonably priced with lovely staff.
Free parking too (up to 3 hours)
We will definitely use this park again.
My wife and I love taking our 2 year old to Brueton Park and visiting the cafe. Pleasant, friendly staff. Good choice of snacks and meals. Lovely coffee. What’s not to like. Oh and huge windows to look out at Mother Nature.
Show more...May be because of the chill, there were very few people ou. It should have meant more wildlife out. But there were none.
Show more...As a family we have been using this park particularly during the school holidays for years now and although I'm finding, as the children get older, that they are less interested in going there, they still have lots of fun especially if we meet up with friends.
Best to park at the lakeside end at Brueton park as get 3 hours free parking opposed to 2 hours at Malvern park, Solihull town centre end. Or even better cycle!
Then you can walk round lake, feed ducks, do Pooh sticks under the bridge, even paddle (in wellies) in a little semi beach bit. There is a lovely little wood with a wood chipping walk way that is pleasant to walk through.
Then there is a large open park for ball games etc or at the back of the lake there is a trail the leads towards the M42!
Next follow the path away from the lake towards Malvern park and you get to the lovely Parkridge centre, a fantastic little coffee shop, serving drinks, sandwiches, light meals, cakes and ice creams. Walk through the coffee shop past the toilets and there is a great nature walk area totally enclosed so kids can only get out via coffee shop. It includes a wooden play park, activity trail and what we call the secret lake (because we had been there loads before we found it, so I always pretended to my children that only we knew about it!). The Parkridge centre is only open to approx 4:30pm and they do holiday activities and children's party's there too,
After leaving there follow the path round into Malvern park, the path splits, go to the left for tennis courts or to the right for a more scenic walk round park and another open parkland for ball games. Which ever way you go you end up at the top near the children's play ground, and it is a pretty good one for young children up to end primary age. There is usually an ice cream van there during school holidays/weekends and there is the pleasant enclosed rose garden with benches to enjoy them, also good for a picnic.
From here you can easily walk into Solihull town centre if you have time. Just remember to leave time to get back to the car!
Always a pleasure to have a walk in the fresh air - especially at the moment. This is a pleasant place for a stroll with lots of space for everyone
Show more...I grew up here and I loved the park, lots of lovely wildlife and right near the town centre as well. Great for children and families and dog walking with the information centre there too.

Very disappointed after our walk in Brueton park today. The wild life was non existent. We saw no small birds despite throwing down bird food & seeds. The tree's were empty. There weren't even any squirrels. On the pond were a few ducks & a group of gulls.
Show more...It was irritating to see the Wellie wearers stomping across the sodden grass areas, churning up the turf into muddy piles. The lawns will be a right mess when they've dried out.
There was a large group of people gathered outside the coffee shop, not observing social distancing.
Enjoyed Cannon hill a lot more.
