Tigh Na Cloich House

946 Reviews

Under New Ownership - Tigh Na Cloich is a beautiful family-run Guesthouse in the “heart of the highlands”. Situated in the Town Centre, but set back enough to enjoy the tranquillity and the most amazing panoramic views, Tigh Na Cloich is set in the perfect location for all the local amenities, and local events including Etape, Enchanted Forest, and all the Theatre productions at Pitlochry Festival Theatre. The building sits proudly at the site of one of the original Sentinel Stones, the name Pitlochry comes from the Gaelic "Pit Cloich Aire", meaning "place of the Sentinel Stone" and it was originally a Pictish settlement. The whole area is rich in standing stones, stone circles, and ancient sites, the most famous being the magnificently carved Dunfallandy Stone which dates back 1,200 years. There are a variety of natural features throughout the grounds and this beautiful Victorian building still retains many original features. The Tigh Na Cloich Guesthouse offers luxurious accommodation, a fully licensed bar service, and the most perfect setting for a deliciously home-cooked Scottish breakfast with sweeping views over the River Tummel. There are also opportunities for guests to enjoy various activities in and around the area including archery, clay pigeon shooting, falconry, golf, cycling, and lots more. Tigh Na Cloich is just a short distance from the A9 and Edinburgh is only 70 minute drive. Direct trains come into Pitlochry Station regularly making it totally accessible and the perfect place for that magical getaway. Families and couples alike particularly like the location with so much to offer. We look forward to welcoming you to Tigh Na Cloich House very soon.

Fantastic bed and breakfast. Great location, wonderful host, bedrooms comfy and the shower is amazing. The host was very welcoming and the breakfast was so good. He also suggested a great wee walk nearby. Rooms had all you needed and a few lovely wee touches made it perfect. Loads of parking too. Would 100% recommend staying here, we will definitely be back.

A very warm welcome was received. The whole place had special extra touches beyond what we expected. The bed and bedding were super-comfortable and cosy, the shower room was spotless as were other areas we had access to. A bespoke breakfast was expertly cooked by Steve. There was a terrific range of comfitures (I had marmalade flavoured with Laphroig whisky) to put on toast. As well as Highland Soap Co. toiletries being available in our room, there was a range of their gorgeous products available for purchase at Reception. We did not use the lounge area with bar, however it is a beautiful space to view the spectacular scenery from. Dinner at the fabulous Auld Smiddy Inn just down the hill on the corner was a delight.

Very comfortable beds, beautifully decorated and very friendly, accommodating hosts. Very clean. Breakfast excellent. We stayed in the downstairs twin room and I was initially a little concerned about noise from the corridor and reception next door but we weren’t bothered at all. Really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend.

We spent two nights here with Stephanie and Steve as our hosts. It was a perfect place to stay in Pitlochry within easy walking distance just down a minimal hill ( their backyard) into town. Our room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast every morning was made to order and was delicious. On site parking was great. We were looking for a smaller inn experience, rather than staying in a hotel and Tigh na Cloich was perfect. Hosts were also helpful recommending local things to do.

We booked as going to a show in Festival Theatre, and got a really good price as breakfast was not included, but lucky for us they were trying out offering an out of season breakfast at an additional cost (price was in keeping with local places) breakfast was lovely and plenty of options etc, house is beautiful and room was spotless and cosy with a fantastic en-suite and amazing shower ( nice locally produced toiletries to use also), very friendly owners, and walk through garden takes you straight onto main street and a fab wee pub right there. Overall a fantastic relaxing 2 night break in a gorgeous B&B, will be returning and will recommend to others
