Parthian Climbing Manchester

We are fairly new to the climbing centre, each time my son and I have visited it has been a fantastic experience. All the Staff here are extremely helpful, professional and very knowledgeable . Their enthusiasm is fantastic and they are very encouraging, making people new to climbing feel at ease. The setting is wonderful and the equipment and membership offers really worthwhile. My son really lives his lessons and he is always really excited to go there.

My 9 years old daughter had a private lesson with Oli, who I found very friendly and knowledgeable but at the same time firm enough to push my daughter beyond her limits. I thought the approach was really good and I am glad my daughter managed to meet all the challenges. Most importantly, she was absolutely delighted with herself! This is a great achievement!

Took my 15yr old son and 12yr old daughter for an hour’s introductory session with a private instructor - £50 in total which seemed like great value and meant no household mixing. You have to sanitise /wear masks but can remove them when actually on the wall if you wish. Our instructor, Mickey was great and the whole place is well set up for Covid. Has a cafe where spectators can watch as well.

I had an introduction session with instructor Oli and it was amazing! we had a lot of time to practice and get the basics of climbing. Oli gave the 4 of us a great deal of attention and engaged us straight away with warm up activities and insightful information. I'm definitely coming back. Oh, the place used to be a church, so the old-style atmosphere makes a difference

We booked a Family Climbing Induction using their website, was easy to do and nice to know you had a slot booked so no worries about arriving and it being full.
We had a lovely guy called Oli giving us our induction. He was great and unbelievably patient! My daughter had a bit of a melt down at the top of a wall but Oli kept calm and talked me through how to get her down. And our 4 year old has a short attention span but Oli was encouraging and engaging with him.
We all had a fantastic time, even my teenager (who we had to force to go) ended up loving it and wants to go back!
Would recommend to anyone! So much fun and something a little different to do.
I have really bad anxiety but all the staff there were friendly and didn't make any of us feel uncomfortable being newbies.
Definitely worth a visit!
Oh a few other quick points, easy to find, parking available, cafe on site.

I was really impressed with the set up at this facility. Booking was slightly tricky as I had a 17 yr old and 15 yr old - but the staff managed to accommodate them in the same 1hr 1/2 session on Sunday morning. I just wish we lived closer as we would definitely return. Girls had a great time Many thanks

Our kids (8 and 10) have been coming here for over a year. The staff are great with them, they give lots of encouragement, work to each child’s strengths, and the teaching is really good. The facilities are excellent - the height & size of the old church building means it’s a great & varied challenge for climbers of all ages & experience. Coffee is great too! Highly recommend.

Fantastic introduction to rope climbing and bouldering with our coach Ben. All staff were extremely welcoming, knowledgeable and very happy to help and advise. A fun reminder for me, as it has been a few years bouldering rather than using ropes.

Supportive and fun environment with other climbers, defintely highly recommended and great value for money.

I took our 8 year old son and his 9 year old friend for a private tuition session with Ben. It was £40 for an hour for both of them and it was money well spent. Also an hour was long enough the kids had had enough by then (but in a good way!) Ben was great with the kids even when they were cheeky and kept them focused when attention was straying. He made sure they had a go at a good range of different climb routes and in the bouldering area. We had a great time :)

Ample opportunity to climb in a small group,I did the family introduction with my granddaughter.Ben was an excellent instructor recognising all the abilities in the group.well organised and good communication prior to attending easy to find with lots of parking. Kit hire included in the price.i felt it was worth the money,and you could stay as long as you wanted after the session to enjoy bouldering.didnt use the cafe but lots of table and chairs for people just viewing the climbing.
