This is a great place to break a journey or just to go for a walk. There's a marina, a little beach and a short walk with places to sit and admire the view. There's a cafe, toilets, and a large children's adventure playground. The signage from the main road could be much more prominent for such an attractive area.
Show more...Ballyronan Marina is a wee haven on Lough Neigh! It has good caravan and motor home facilities. Good play area for the kids and a nice walk round the lough. Lots of social events happening in the summer. A Tasty Bites takeaway has just opened and it's good! You can choose from 3 local pubs!! Only prob is twice-a-year flies! pesky things! But don't let that put you off!
Show more...We attend the Marina on many Saturday nights and thoroughly enjoy the social dancing. Friendly clientele and bar open during the dancing hours. Sandwiches available halfway through. Good dance music and great place to socialise, on the shores of Lough Neagh.
Show more...Great wee place to take the kids for a day out just make sure you bring that old loaf of bread to feed the ducks. Plenty of facilities there.
Show more...If you just fancy a nice walk and a bit of peace looking over the lough then this is the place. There are also swings etc. for kids and a caravan park. Only down side is midgets.. At times they are awful but usually not too bad.
Show more...great views and good walking spots, but in the summer its hatefull with the flys or what ever they are, millions of them, cant camp out or eat near them!!
Show more...We stayed in the Caravan Park here at the weekend. It was our first visit here and a very pleasant one at that. Everyone was very friendly and the place was very clean the facilities were brilliant and you felt very secure with barriers on the all the gates etc for safety reasons. There is a brilliant play park for the younger generation. A few walks very short (too short for my liking) but very beautiful scenary from all walks with picnic tables along the lough. Beautiful views across Lough Neagh and plenty of ducks to feed too. Local chippy had excellant food, really recommend a visit.
Show more...The place was almost deserted. Toilets were open in the community centre but no refreshments, not even an Ice cream on a hot day in July with schools on holiday.
Very different to last year when you could hardly get into the car park
Here today (9th June 2015) the marina was very busy and crowded. It is a clean area. I enjoyed my brief visit. Only complaint the toilets could be cleaner.

Shout out to the incredible marina staff. Friendly, helpful and kind they made our visit so very great. Visiting from 🇨🇦, we stayed in the lovely ‘glamping pods’ for a week. The little float homes perched on the shores of lough Neagh, made for a perfect home base to visit with family and explore the area. The float homes are perfectly equipped with everything you need. The designers have taken care to create an open welcoming space that is also highly functional for a longer stay. And the little town of Ballyronan is friendly and fun, with enough good pubs and restaurants to keep us fed & happy! We had a wee one with us, and she rates the nearby playground a solid 10 out of 10. The walking trails are beautiful. Really, can’t say enough about what an exceptional find this was for us. We will be back!
