You can wall past this site and get some great views on the way to harbour. The bus stops is a short walk away and you have to pass this site to get to the harbour.
Show more...There are so many ruins in this area. Take plenty of water and take you time wandering. Photo opportunities are in so many places and most of it is clean of litter (tourist water bottles seem to be the worst litter item). There are obvious signs of restoration but it seems to be tasteful. A lovely location but it can get very hot, particularly by the sand dunes and there isn't much in the way of shelter.
Show more...I met two men on my walk through the ruins. The first one tried to scam me of my money; he pointed me to some of the ruins and told me a bit about them but everything he said stood on the information board in front of them.
A bit further away there were some more ruins I was interested in seeing. When I got there I met another man, I told him I wanted to go alone but he insisted in showing me around and that he would ask for money cause he was a “gentleman”. After a while he tricked me to a path through big bushes to a ruin wall, when we go there there was a mattress on the ground and he started asking me for sex. I turned around and walked as fast as I could to the beach. He followed me the whole way and pointed out some bushes where men meet up to have sex and asked me a lot of inappropriate questions. He also tried to get me in his car even though I said no multiple times. There were no people around and he easily could of raped me. I was lucky he didn’t. I would NOT recommend walking around the ruins alone as a woman
Currently the Temple is not open to the public as there is "restoration" work going on. Worth making sure you don't miss it while walking in the area, its by the Greek Amphitheater.
Show more...Won't take long to walk around this little building , but photos are a must even though much of it has been heavily renovated . Photos can be taken while on the free Dolmus bus .
Show more...This site is situated next to the Amphitheatre, its in a state of renovation so its not open to the public. Tourists can see the ruins from the road and walk around its exterior, and still get some great photo shots. As entrance is not allowed, obviously the views of the site are free of charge.

The Temple of Tyche (Tyche Tapinagi in Turkish language) is a beautiful ancient monument which was restored recently, according to a billboard placed on the spot. Its corinthian columns are painted in gold like colour, which is odd and more likely are the result of the restoration works. I know that in ancient Greece and Egypt, the temples used to be adorned with coloured pictures, but I doubt that the columns were painted in gold colours.
Show more...Unfortunately for the time being the Temple of Tyche is not open to the public, but visitors can admire from a distance, as it is located in front of the Greek Amphitheater. Another good place to get a close look at the temple is over the fence on the left hand side as one stays faceing the Vespasianus Monument.
