Goreme Tarihi Milli Parki

A picturesque park and definitely visit the park with your Camera, you can take pictures of :
1. Zelve Open air Museum, different types of buildings built during the Byzantine era.
2. Uchisar Castle, centuries old citadel.
3. Fairy Chimneys, Mushroom like rocks all over Cappadocia.
4. Aşıklar vadisi, Magnificent valley with unique tower shaped rocks.

Getting off the plane in Kayseri, this was the first place in Cappadocia that our guide took us to. With all the natural beauty of the area, I can see why. Plus, it is right off the road so you don't have to walk too far to be surrounded by fairy chimneys. Parking is at a premium and hard to find during busy times. There are also some kiosks nearby to buy souvenirs. Something for everyone!

This is the famous site in Goreme for balloon rides, as most of them take off from here.
The place is absolutely amazing from the balloon, but was even more interesting seeing it from the ground when we drove our quads before sunrise seeing so many professional photo sessions here - a lifetime memory.
Strongly recommend to take the morning ATV tour.

this is known as the main attraction in Kapadokya, riding the. hot air balloon. By far it was one of the highlights of my trip. you will be picked up around 4am and will be airborne by sunrise and get amazing pictures and great view.

A wonderful experience BUT it would have been helpful if a step ladder was provided to help people into the basket. the basket is very high and there are two tiny holes to put your foot into but was too small to get my shoe into.The basket is divided into five sections the biggest naturally for the pilot/ driver there were five people squeesed into each of the other four sections twenty people in total and we were like sardines and could barely move. in my opinion four people to each section would be sufficient.The take off and landing were wonderful and the views from the balloon were marvellous looking down on very high mountains villages fairy chimneys farms etc. it was a terrific experience and would highly recommend it.

The balloons leave from this area in the mornings, not the best viewing place since that should be from one of the hills, but here is where the companies set up the balloons and they land anywhere around. We tried Royal Balloons and it was spotless service for 150 EUR

Incredibly busy!

Cam is good but was bored after seeing that.

Absolutely rammed and lots of stalls so very touristy.

Worth a quick stop but not to plan your trip around it.

Wonderland and photo ops galore! The hilltop park above Goreme provides the best lookout for the early morning hot air balloon launchings.
