We paid $60 for the two of us, which considering what we had paid at the mansion and palace tours, was a good price for this experience. They will only take a minimum group of six, which is what we had in our group, a nice small group of six so we could all spread out. We sat in the back because it seemed cooler with the breeze, but it was probably a bit bouncier back there too. The ride was a bit bumpy at times, but we appreciated hearing about the history of Galveston while riding around. The duck did go into some body of water (a bay?) to the disappointment of my husband who was hoping we'd go into the ocean or gulf. The driver provided good facts with some funny quips; however, too many dumb corny jokes. On that particular day the driver also seemed quite distracted and downhearted due to his dog being in the vet, which is unnecessarily (but understandably given his situation and mood) spoke about a few times.

The cost for a one hour tour is $30 and I was pleased with the tour. The tour starts off by driving along the sea wall as the driver points out historical events and various buildings. Shortly after, you will enter the bayou, and from there, it’s off to the Strand. Throughout the drive, the driver points out historical events, famous people who helped shape Galveston, and great places to see while visiting. I had a great time!

Parked our car along Seawall, ad hopped on to the tour shortly after 11.00 am. Got a discount from the hotel brochure. Great commentary, fun to drive, and then ducked onto the water. The driver even let a young kid tried out the steering wheel. A good overview of the town if you are there for the first day.

I enjoyed doing this, just a bit pricey for me. It was very informative learning about the different landmarks and history of Galveston. Our tour guide added in a lot of dry humor which made it fun. Getting to ride on the water was pretty cool too, which took up about half of the time. They have several tours throughout the day and will even add additional times to the regular schedule in case they get a lot of traffic.

The Duck Tour was a last minute choice because the pier was closed. We didn’t know ahead of time that the tour vehicle would be going into the water. Our tour guide was funny and knowledgeable. We learned so much and had a great time. He gave us lots of ideas on what else we could do in Galveston. The tour was the best part of our day!!! Such fun!

The route was excellent to see all of the areas to go and spend time while in Galveston Islands. We thought our tour guide was really good, knowledgeable and experienced. Only negative is that the water portion was not as long as we expected.

We really enjoyed the Duck Tour in Galveston -- we try to take them wherever we see them available. David our Captain told some great jokes and was knowledgable. Overall a fun time, I just wish it was a little longer (it's roughly over an hour).

09/01/2023 The boat was a bit rusty, but it was still fun to experience. They took us to a lot more areas than I had expected and told us quite a bit of history. The boat was a cool experience to go from land to water, especially if you’ve never been on such a vehicle. The captain was funny and very knowledgeable. Would recommend.

This was such a fun experience. Great for all ages. I love how it gives you a mini tour and history of the town you are in as well as cool boat ride. This is the second time I’ve been and will return for another tour next trip.

First and foremost we would like to say we come down every summer from Houston and ride the duck tour and have never been treated like this!!
We arrived with a large group for a duck tour and was ignored by a ticket lady who was more interested in apparently shopping on her phone than our business. When we asked about the tour she snapped rudely at our group that it was sold out. We asked for other tour times and was rudely and obnoxiously told the same.
We tried to talk to her but her attitude only proved that she and or this company wanted nothing to do with our business or money.
We asked if we could speak to the owner at which she replied she was "the manager/boss" and if we had a problem we could take our business elsewhere as she sarcastically laughed and sat her lazy butt back into her chair. WHAT NERVE!!!!!! FYI--we asked her name and it was Grace
We will never ride the duck again and will tell everyone we know that this company has no edicate at customer service..

Beware to tourists. If this girls name is Grace and she really is the manager(Grackious317) then read her responses on trip advisor as she never really apologizes for her behavior which apparently happens quite often but just blames the customer AND SHE EVEN HAD THE AUDACITY TO GO ON TRIP ADVISOR AND WRITE A REVIEW FOR HER COMPANY WHERE SHE APPARENTLY BLATANTLY LIES AND DIDNT READ THE RULES OF TRIP ADVISOR!!!
