We visited the museum and did the escape room. The kids enjoyed the scavenger hunt going through the museum. The escape room was great for our grandkids ages of 12 and 9. We beat the clock with 8 minutes to spare. I wish I had known ahead of time that if you beat the escape room you can visit the museum for free. We had pre purchased all of our tickets. We enjoyed the attraction.

The staff was AMAZING!! I was really
Impressed with them and their willingness to go above and beyond for my boys. We did both the haunted house and the pirate exhibit. My boys got freaked out at the haunted house and the girls there did a great job making them feel better. The exhibits were very well done and had some good information.

The pirate ship museum was really unique. They have it set up like the inside of an actual pirate ship. We learned a lot of really interesting facts about the pirates of the gulf coast and just pirates in general. They also have an escape room which was really fun. They have a couple games to play while you’re waiting and they even have a Zoltar!! This is absolutely something i would do with your kids, they would really enjoy it!

Don't waste your money. Saw no pirates except the girl that took our money. Overpriced. We were handed cheap "phones" that we could barely hear or understand, a map, and told to wait for our pirate guide. Cheesy TV pirate finally comes on, which my kids lost interest in within 30 seconds. Whole tour was over $25 for 1adult and 2 kids and took less than 5 minutes because my kids had no interest in sitting and listening to a history lesson on heap cheap phone. At the end we were given 2 plastic coins and a plastic green "diamond" HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT. Website says you will see pirates putting on a showsaw nothing !!!!! Run dont walk to another form of entertainment.

Our family did the combo tickets for both the pirate side and the haunted house. The haunted house was okay, but our boys age 9 and 11 said it was too scary. It does get a little loud with banging etc. so be prepared for that. The pirate side was average or even below average. There wasn't much hands on stuff to do other than listening to facts in a phone you carry around. It would be fun if they did a scavenger hunt or treasure chest dig. The staff was great on both sides, especially those dressed as pirates. The price was around $120 for both sides. Should have been more around $60 for what it was.

We really enjoyed this adventure. The kids had a great time. They got to fire a cannon while searching for clues, hunting the pirate treasure. Even the adults enjoyed hunting for the treasure while learning about the pirates that sailed along the Texas coast and the high seas. If downtown, worth checking out.

We had no idea the power of captain John Lafitte had an encampment in Galveston. We also learned a lot about other famous pirate, captains, including female pirates, and privateers. They have a couple of cannons that you can fire and some interactive things that go off as you’re going through the attraction. There were several kids they’re doing a scavenger hunt type activity. I also saw that they have a escape room. The pirate related.

ARRRRR! What fun!!!! I have family who is mentioned throughout the exhibit, so it was like a mini-family history for me! Tons of pirate info, with interactive areas and a pirate ship inside. Self-guided. Staff is very friendly and helpful! There is alot to read, I will definitely have to go back when we have more time. Shiver me timbers!

We only did the museum. It was packed with information. I feel like I could go through several more times and still not get it all. There is a lot to read (if interested), and there are "sound pistols" for a self guided tour. I learned a lot and really enjoyed it, but it was definitely more of an academic experience. Very clean too, which is impressive considering all there is to keep clean and dust! Staff are very friendly and pleasant. My husband appreciated the strong air conditioning!
