I always avoid tours and prefer to find places myself. I did a trek of 17km and visited the rose valley, the red valley and the sword valley. This area is more commercial and you can see people in horses passing by.

Show more...Just take a deep breathe and admire this beautiful artist palette in front of you! The majestic panorama is so unique in Cappadoce!
Show more...If you are in Cappadoccia, you should visit the Rose Valley. You might have a chance to see it if you will take a hot balloon your. However, if you do like trekking, you will enjoy to walk in the Valley. The Valley is located in between Göreme and Çavuşin.
Show more...It was a nice walk with lots of shade in the valley. Along the way you could view the big boulders in different shapes. Towards the end, some makeshift drink stalls available if you are thirsty.
I really liked Rose Valley. The formations there are pretty plus they have that pink color. I loved that you didn’t have to pay and you could find a spot to yourself (no need to head towards all the ATV tour groups). This is a great area for a hike or for sunset.
Show more...we spent 1 evening in this place: the sunset was fantastic! This valley really looks pink, especially at the sunset. I've got a few really lovely pictures taken there, as well as short videos, so I will never forget the beauty of this place!
Show more...Not sure why this has no reviews yet, probably because it is lumped in under the Goreme National Park listing. Anyway, a 20 minute hike North of the town will get you here. You can also take some long distance sunset shots from Sunset Point, with a good camera. Lots of ATV and horse tours there. Recommended.
Show more...You can drive up to the bottom of the valley and then have a stroll around. Lots of ATVs nearby, so stay alert. Beautiful colour of rocks.
Show more...According to fellow travelers, these are the best ways to experience Rose Valley:
We hiked the Meskiendir, Rose and Red Valley trails starting just up by Kaya Camping. With the round trip from Goreme, we logged in about 14 miles. The trails were completely unpopulated and beautiful. That said, the signage to the trails were often scarce and the terrain challenging, so this is not a casual hike for those who are not used to some challenges and occasional steepness. If you can pull this one off, it's worth it.
