Picturesque London neighborhood marked by its canal waterway and broad tree-lined streets, Little Venice was built between 1810 and 1870 and was the popular haunt of many artists, writers and scientists.
Show more...Hidden jewel right off Paddington metro station. It's like walking into a different vacation spot inside your vacation spot, where you are met with river boat restaurants, personal motor boat rentals, and boat tours. The place is a network of canals surrounded by beautiful nature and home of charming boat houses and water flora and fauna. Well worth a visit.
Show more...Little Venice is a wonderful canal that provides a range of interesting boats and great views. The best time to visit is in the warmer months as the place is truly alive. Heading for sunset and evening gives a mixture of contrasting colours and the bright lights of the area. It is close to food and drink establishments. There are some activities that are available including tours and boat trips. It is great for walking and enjoying nature. Highly recommended.
Show more...On a cold November day, Little Venice was very tranquil and uncrowded. Beautiful Regency houses surround the Basin and picturesque barges are moored along the towpath. We took a canal boat ride to Camden with the London Waterbus Company, so will definitely return to Browning’s Basin to explore Little Venice further when we have more time.

Two canals converge into a basin, and a boating community was born. I only found out about it when I saw it ranked #7 on the 101 Things to Do in London in Time Out London.
It was an easy ride to the Warwick Avenue tube station and then a quick stroll to leafy Rembrandt Gardens and the basin where long boats and gondolas were clustered. It was frankly too hot for us to consider a tourist boat ride, but we had a lovely breakfast at Clifton Nurseries nearby and leisurely walked along Regent's Canal to Regent's Park. The passing boats made for a unique sight in this charming, undertouristed part of London.
A great place to walk around and spend 1-2 hours exploring the area and the riverside , seeing the houseboats. Each one is unique and there are some lovely cafes on the river. We tried to take a river boat tour but it goes all the way to Camden and there were no shorter trip options. Walk a bit further to the Beatles’ Abbey Rd studio and take a photo on the crosswalk !
Show more...Having visited London so many times I have never visited Little Venice.
I am so pleased that my visits will now be very regular as my son has moved to nearby St John’s Wood.
It is a quiet oasis in the hustle and bustle of the city.
Beautiful houses and architecture.
So many cafés, delicatessens, restaurants and bars.
A great place to watch the world go by and take a stroll to browse through shop windows.
You can also take a ride from Little Venice to Camden on a canal boat which I did. Due to lockdown tickets for this need to be purchased online before you board.
Its a beautiful canal with lots of boats but not worth to visit if you have a limited time. Unless if you love nature, canals & lots of free time, you may spend time taking the boat trip to camden. The entrance closed at 6:30pm so please come in the morning or before 6pm to enjoy walking near the canal or riding the boat. This location is reachable via bus & tube.
Show more...Just a 10 minute walk from Paddington Station along canal.or 5 mins walk from Warwick Ave tube station.
Lovely tranquil area in the centre of London with lovely pubs, cafes and restaurants. Beautiful regency stucco grand houses to view, housing super wealthy bwankers probably. Bohemian community priced out apart from the narrow boat dwellers.
Anyway lovely to walk along canal from Little Venice to Camden Town, passing Regents Park and London Zoo.
It is little hyped but still good place to hang around on the banks of river and go for a ride. They have one route which ends at London Zoo entrance.
Enjoy the good at the corner and go for a ride,

This area is not far from (essentially behind) Paddington station but if you are looking to kill some time in the area, or out for a drink or bite with friends, definitely walk over and take a look. There are numerous canal boats moored dockside near a quay of restaurants and public art. Worth a visit.
