We bought a 4 day ticket online. No where on the webpage does it say that in the winter there is only 1 bus an hour. That’s not a hop on hop off. The commentary is very poor, they talk about some things far too late or not at all. We have used Red Bus tours in other cities that are so much better. The tram was a waste of time, people always pushing in. 1 hour wait then packed full, really others we spoke to were also very disappointed. The boat trip was also not very good with a loud speaker commentary in 4 languages that was very limited and difficult to hear.
Please understand I’m happy to give a good review just not this time. Also you receive a QR code by email but this is scanned and you get a ticket for 2 people. My wife wanted to use the bus but I had the ticket, the email was no good and the driver rude.
If you do still decide to book do individual bookings as they are so cheap nothing will change.

We spent four days in Lisbon and found the Yellow Bus Tours to economically provide an entertaining ride to Belem and back with some additional highlights coming and going. We loved being up in the open seats but did get rained on for about half the trip. Luckily our return trip was under dry skies. Much nicer way to appreciate the tile-covered buildings and Art Nouveau architecture. We only got off the bus once, at Belem, so didn’t experience any long waits. The recorded commentary was fine. Our 24-hour ticket also gave us access to the Elevador St. Justa and trams. The trams were all jammed with people but we did take the elevator, which was fun. With limited time in a big city, we find these bus tours help orient and inform.

I took yellow bus in Lisbon and Porto to see the historic and modern city. Both kind of routes were really good. Explanations were clear. In Lisbon, it was great to have access to cable & trolley cars and Santa Justa lift with our ticket.
Bus drivers were nice and supportive guys.
My suggestion for improvement would be to ensure all machines for headphones work properly in any seat and, second, to lengthen the time as 17.00h for the last bus could be too early.

Bought the 2 day pass. What a mistake. Most of both days was spent hoping that a yellow bus would show up. Busses were way too slow and not enough busses. Didn't get to see much around the city as time was wasted waiting for busses. One stop we waited 40 minutes (plenty of red busses passed us all day long) and finally a bus arrives and when boarding bus 2 more yellow busses stop at the same stop? I'm sure their are customers waiting somewhere on the tour for their bus to come. Another stop bus pulls over and shuts down. After 20 minutes and no info from driver passengers ask what the problem is? Driver responds that another bus is on the way to take us as the narrative on the bus is broken. How long we ask the driver? He has no idea! Another 45 minute delay
There is no way that you can see the city in 2 days on this busline. Tourists be AWARE!!

Do not use their services! I never write reviews but this time I will.

I reserved a surprise for my husband's birthday, on his birthday December 17 we decided to see the city on a tourist bus, I bought tickets online. The Blue Line bus runs every 30 minutes as per the timetable. We ran as the bus had just come to a stop. My husband pressed the button as it is everywhere in Europe : the bus door opens when the button is pressed. The door opened and the driver: his name Jaos Neves started shouting at us, why did we press this button, we apologized, but he began to raise his voice again and again. He repeated it 5 times! That we shouldn't have pressed the button. I remind you that this is a tour bus, we said we didn't know; that you can not press the button, and apologized. but he did not stop repeating and scolding us. This is abnormal behavior, especially the driver, especially the TOURIST bus. It was my first day in Portugal, your driver leaves a "wonderful" opinion about your country.

Then I told him that we have a ticket and showed him an email with a PDF document. He started yelling at me again that it was a voucher and not a ticket. But what changes how I called the voucher, if this is the only document; to be scanned!?!! How does your driver have the right to raise his voice and talk to people like that? If I had not bought tickets in advance, we would never have boarded your bus. Then we took our headphones and sat down. Headphones didn't work; you have to move. If there are no places, then you will not be able to listen to the audio in this bus. There is no Wi-Fi on the bus, music plays half the way.

We went out for a walk around the square and came half an hour later to a stop. We waited an hour, not a single bus came, in the end we called an uber! But we saw the red bus 8 times while waiting for the "yellow bus".

I am very upset that I bought tickets for this bus and ruined half the day of my husband's birthday!

Enjoyed music, commentary and scenery. Acknowledge the skilled bus drivers. It more than anything, I acknowledge the patience, endurability and calm of the staff lady who was organizing the line ups at Stop #1. She did very well at holding her ground while being verbally pressured by a man who had thrown away his ticket because he was not informed that he needed to keep it (or so he emphatically stated). Well done.

This is a great way to see the sights of Lisbon. I recommend the All in One Ticket that gives you access to two routes as well as the historic tram and the yellow boat cruise. I would recommend that they add a few more stops but overall this is a wonderful way to see the highlights of Lisbon.

I have always done city tours using hop on/off tour buses whenever I visit a European City. I’ve done Rome and Barcelona and found both tours educational and enjoyable, however I can’t say the same for the yellow bus.

The representative was rude, the tour disorganised and boring, and to top it off I had to pay for a second ticket as I mislaid the first one, (the “ticket” is similar to a debit/credit card receipt).

I really don’t understand why this organisation is unable to issue a proper ticket, e.g a card, an arm band or etc, but it may be their strategy to try to bleed the tourist as we all know things will get lost on holidays.

I will never use this company again or recommend anyone to do so.

As you enter the bus, remember to pick up the headphones as they definitely enhance the experience.
As it’s an open top bus it’s best to sit on the top deck but it can get a bit chilly especially when the bus gets nearer to the river Tagus so best to bring a jacket!
Lots of lovely scenery as you travel through Lisbon but quite a few selfish passengers who, although travelling together, chose to sit on the window seats so blocking the seats for other couples to sit.
Lots of information and interesting musical interludes as you listen through the headphones!
We preferred the Belem bus trip rather than the Modern one but to be honest the deal is better when you get a 2 day bus pass including both journeys as many times as you want and trams and the elevator attraction so it’s a win, win really!

We decided on the total package which was $45 euros for 3 days and included Belem and modern bus tours, river tour by boat, and the tramcar tour. It also included the Santa Justa lift from the lower part of the city and the funicular. Excellent price and it filled 3 days. Many stops to get off but we decided to just ride and listen to the audio. All were over one and a half hous long and very informative. Great way to see the city, learn some history and then visit on your own.
