Would love to write a review about TBO on 2nd June 2021, but it wasn’t working all day. Neither was ice blast so the queues were so long - 2 hours waiting on average, 3 rides in 6 hours, £70 wasted, and all in a park that states on its webpage that entry numbers will be limited by e-ticket and all COVID protocols observed. Absolute rubbish, anyone could walk in- and they did, it was packed. Never again.

I am a theme park exthusiast but this coaster scares me. It is overwhelmingly fast and the track doesn't feel like it can support the speeds. With only a lap bar it is so scary. Obviously this goes through vigorous testing but it definitely make me nervous. Well worth giving it a go if you're in Blackpool

Even though i have been on this before about 4 years ago, on my second trip here i was still a bit scared about going on, its called the big one for no reason, its huge. But even with a little fear of heights, it was just something i had to do while at the pleasure beach. The worst part is the start, not so much the going up, though i wrongly remembered this was the scariest bit, its more when you reach the top, (the view is fantastic by the way, even if your not a fan of heights), that first drop, is not for the faint hearted thats for sure. Once that bit is over its a thrill and so fast and fun, and the adrenaline you feel is awesome. And once its over you will be glad you have done it, even though i wont be in a hurry to go on again!.

I thought there would be a limit to how many people would be allowed in the park, but I was wrong. Packed, queues awful. £144 for 4 people. 3 rides each. No social distancing and many people not wearing masks , although the staff were. Absolute waste of money and will never go again. I have 2 dissapointed girls

You can feel the age of this coaster now. It’s not smooth like newer coasters. The drop is still very scary as it’s just so steep. I like to ride it once per visit but no more. At least it was actually operating on the day I was there.

Worst coaster ever 😭, I like coasters , scary high fast etc I'm not a complete coaster geek, but I have accompanied my partner who is slowly turning into one. This ride was a bone shaker , I actually said out loud .. how can this be legal !? Older rides such as the one in Yarmouth , are no where near as rough. My advice , don't bother to queue , and icon is worth the wait !

the climb is very intimidating and when you get to the top you cant believe how far your gonna drop. the drop is pretty impressive. very scary 1st time you go down the drop but the rest of the ride brings it down. the rest of the ride is nothin in comparison as the drops gentle and slow in accelaration. its not a bad ride but it really isant anything out of this world. the elements plays a very good part eg the wind and is imtimidating. overall the ride goes on far too long. the only thing on this ride to be scared of is the height and the drop. the height, u get over fairly quickly if you dont look down too much, and the drop is over so quickly you really do question your prenerves. its not a bad ride but its not worth the queue, Grand national and spin doctor are by far the ones to ride for thrills

Been on loads of rides but the pepsi max put's them to shame!
Once you get on you feel like you've made a mistake.when you start to climb you can see just how far up you're going.Once it gets to the top you brace yourself and it plumets over 200 ft.
you get off and then you take back what you said at the start.
terrifieing ride, you have to go on it.

Had to chuckle when reading the review posted on 19th July concerning this truly fantastic ride.

"dont go fast". No, of course not, it's only the tallest, fastest Roller Coaster in Europe ! Yes it may lose it's crown soon (after all it was also the tallest and fastest in the world when it opened 11 years ago).

Admittedly the ride loses some of it's thrill after it's initial drop - almost vertical at hair raising speeds of up to 85mph - however, that first drop alone makes it worth a try for anybody.

Hurtling down at those speeds when all you can see is the busy promenade or the waves crashing into the wall is truly an experience.

Fact remains that Pleasure Beach, Blackpool is Britain's most popular tourist attraction for a reason. It's all about atmosphere, and above all fun.

If you want to spend your day in queues or on long treks between, frankly grossly over-rated rides, then go to Alton Towers. However, if you want to spend your day in a park that is simply alive, then go to the Pleasure Beach !

Remember to smile for that ride photo too !!
