£136 for my family of 5 during Covid on a Tuesday and this place is packed to bursting!! In all the years Iv been here Iv never waited two hours for a kids ride! So much for limited capacity!! No social distancing being observed. What a total waste of time and money!! It’s my sons birthday and wow have the directors of this company abused the current state of affairs! Being forced to purchase tickets in advance to apparently ”ensure capacity” what a load of rubbish, it’s busier than ever and half the rides are closed. We actually queued while the teenage staff “cleaned the ride” only to be told 45 minutes later that the ride was closed. My boys 11th birthday was a complete wash out! I’m absolutely furious, and as for their hotel “the big blue” which we are staying in for the last time after 12 years of loyalty, no capacity in the restaurant meaning additional fees for room service breakfast although it was already paid for in advance and no way of utilising the “eat out help out” service because the restaurant is fully booked weeks in advance and the room service option is at full price. Absolutely disgusted! Seeing my children so disappointed has left the worst taste in my mouth. Very short sighted practice Blackpool pleasure beach! Reminds me of the antics of Ryan air! Shame on you!

We visited here on Monday bank holiday. We booked tickets online in advance as the website advertises it has limited capacity and on the gate entry is prohibited.

We arrived to queues to enter and staff were enforcing the social distancing and mask wearing rules. This made us feel at ease. On entering the park, that's a different matter. It was utter chaos. It seemed like any other bank holiday, crammed with people everywhere. We expected to queue however, not for 2 hours. My young children managed 4 rides and were bitterly disappointed. We understood the staff to clean the rides and direct visitors safely, this was done for the most part however social distancing was rarely adhered to by some guests.

Over £100 for 4 rides is disgraceful and BPB should be ashamed. Not the fun filled day we expected and we will not return.

We booked in advance for a day at the pleasure beach on Monday 2nd august. We are a family of 5 with 3
Kids aged 17,16 and 11. We paid £185 for the day ticket. Even before arrival we did the whole activate your e-ticket, upload photos, save it on your smartphone etc and were shocked that to even enter the park they didn’t even ask to see the proof of purchase lol. The queues were absolutely ridiculous 2 hours for all main attractions, 45 minutes to
An hour for all the other rides. After we waited as a family for 45 minutes for the first ride my 2 eldest went to see if could pay the £50 each to upgrade to VIP so they could enjoy all the thrill rides without queues but they and sold out. We decided to split up so my eldest two went off and throughout the 8 hours did manage to get on every ride but only once. The icon being their favourite. We spent the day with our youngest around nicolodian land where the wait times were still extreme but he had a great day so it worked out fine. I would recommend paying the £10 per person for the unlimited drinks refill as a bottle of juice is £3 per time and with the heat and waiting about danger of being dehydrated. My favourite ride is the Valhalla which is closed until 2022 for a refit so hopefully when we are back next summer it will be open as it’s a massive part of the pleasure beach experience. Wee tip for any family download kids pass app for 2.99 a month and book pleasure beach through that as get 10% off admission so saved us about £35. The one concern for me is their is no social distancing or masks being worn at all. You are literally mingling with thousands of people and the risk of catching covid is highly probable

As always, a brilliant day out. Try and get online vouchers for cheaper entry as it can work out quite expensive for a larger family. Get queue busters for a couple of popular rides and you'll get to go on more rides throughout the day. Food is cheap compared to other theme parks and decent quality. Don't forget where you parked the car!!

We visited in September on a Friday when we had a local school holiday but most other areas didn’t so it was very quiet which was great!

Most of the rides were open and we hardly had to queue. The longest we queued was about 10 mins for Icon, and it was well worth it, brilliant ride! The kids enjoyed going on everything as many times as they wanted and there was loads of choice for them.

This must be such a difficult time for businesses like the Pleasure Beach and a lot of the reviews don’t really help them. Being surprised by queues at weekends or bank holidays is a bit unfair. There was plenty of hand sanitiser and the staff were good at enforcing mask wearing. Social distancing in ride queues was sometimes non existent but that’s the fault of other visitors, not the park.

We paid £110 for 4 of us and were there from opening at 11 to close at 5 which I think was great value for money, especially with the amount of rides we did! The rides are well spaced with kids rides near more thrilling rides so there’s options to amuse them while the adults go on rollercoasters 🙂 a great day out, we’ll definitely be back!

As a visitor to the pleasure beach every year, this year I was very disappointed!
Being a family of 6 you can imagine how much entry to the park costs us, which isn’t usually a problem as we have an amazing time, however this year, that wasn’t the case!
We arrived at 10am, entered the park, collected our digital photo wristbands to soon find that half of the rides where shut, (including 3 in Nickelodeon land & the big one) resulting in the half that where open had queue’s for over an hour long wait already! There was no mention of the ride closures on our entry.
After being in the park almost 2 hours and only having been on The Alice in Wonderland ride my partner went to speak to a member of staff about the ride closures, as the weather wasn’t amazing, but there where no winds and only a slight drizzle. He was informed the ride closures where not due to weather, but staffing issues caused by the covid restrictions! Apparently they’re still only permitted so many staff members in the park, which results in not all rides being open. I am sorry but if that is the case, then do not sell out tickets to maximum capacity when you’re on limited staff numbers! He was told that we could change our day to a different day that week if we wanted, but these restrictions would still be implemented, so what would be the point of that? (Also we visited Wednesday, we where travelling home Friday and had already booked and paid for a trip to the Zoo on Thursday, so couldn’t really have changed even if we wanted to risk it being quieter on another day)
He asked if we could purchase speedy passes, so at least we could avoid the massive queue’s on the rides that where open, to be told no, as they where sold out to maximum capacity on those too!
We purchased the unlimited drinks cups, and due to the queue’s at the facilities that supply those drinks, we managed to get it filled twice during the whole day, so another total waste of money!
Then it came to trying to feed the kids!! The queue’s for the eating places where as long as those for the rides. Resulting in us having to leave the park, feed the kids at the South Pier, then return to the park!
Due to the majority of rides being closed, the £20. digital photo pass I had purchased before our visit was also a waste of money, as the few rides that where open don’t even have camera facilities! So we paid £20. for a photo of the Rugrats ride & the Avalanche!
I was so disappointed, and will not be revisiting the pleasure beach on my next visit, it is a complete waste of money!

The current system does not work. Far too many people in the park! Impossible to get on more than a couple of rides. I queued for over 2 hours to get on the Big One. Squashed together like sardines in some parts of the Queue. All rides had queues like this and despite this more and more people being allowed in to the park.

It’s disappointing when it costs £32.00 per person to manage one ride all day.

I love Blackpool Pleasure Beach but, if today is a typical day there now I won’t be back. It smacks of greed and a lack of respect and care towards its customers. You need to put a capacity limit in place and ensure it’s followed or you will lose a lot of customer.

Currently, it is dangerous and an absolute piss take for the money it costs. My advice is to avoid or you will leaving feeling really let down.

Not enjoyable. Way too busy because numbers arent being limited at all I have never seen the pleasure beach as busy it was absolutely horrendous! Zero social distancing and queues for rides are ridiculous. We were there for 8 hours and only managed to go on 5 rides. We went as a couple but I can't imagine managing the queues with kids as literally every ride is at least a 1 hour wait even rides like the ghost train. Feel really ripped off and let down I wouldn't have booked the tickets if I knew it was lies about only allowing a certain number of people in. I would seriously recommend people to think twice about booking unless your willing to waste your day spending hours queuing for rides with hundreds of people.

We went on Saturday family of 15.

Get rid of your QR codes, waste of time. If you need to pay a full price ticket to gain access to the park and no longer have non rider tickets what is the need for it?? Everyone has paid to get in so why do you need to scan onto every ride??

Now onto why I won’t be rushing back…,

Firstly One being under 2 and bought a wrist band so he could ride in Nickelodeon with an adult and every ride apart from 1 we were turned away from because he was not 2 and under 90cm even though rides state under 90cm can ride with an adult…complete waste of money.

Secondly stood on average 30-45 mins to get on the rides (especially avalanche) to then be told that as my nephew was over 6 he needed a mask to ride, nowhere whilst standing in the non socially distanced queue did it state over 6’s needed a face mask to be worn so he was refused access to the ride bearing in mind on gov.uk under English law regarding face masks it says under 11s do not need to wear one! So please if you are going to enforce a law try sticking to the guidelines!! Complete joke explaining to a 7 year old why he couldn’t go on that ride especially all the ones before that never mentioned a mask to ride.

Thirdly I’m glad to see you are on a recruitment drive for new staff because you need it, I’ve never came across so many ignorant and arrogant members of staff especially at the red arrows. Publicly humiliated a larger man trying to squeeze him into the seat and in a harness and after not being able to do it the first time another member of staff tried and tried then for the poor man to be asked to leave in not a discreet manner.

Fourthly toilets all around the park were disgusting and poorly kept, I totally get that it’s busy but have staff keep on top of it. I loved your hand sanitiser stations all over the park but shame they never had anything in them.

All in all a fortune paid for a family day out whilst on holiday and was a complete waste of money. Over populated, queues massive so therefore no time to get on the rides!!

Certainly won’t be rushing back!

Have not been to BPB since I was a child so was really looking forward to taking my own children. Unfortunately it was clear that they are NOT limiting the number of people in the park as it was absolutely rammed.paired with that they have pointless systems of only using every other carriage etc on rides (even when you’re all from one family and everyone is wearing masks) they’re trying to ‘cover their backsides’ but I honestly don’t see how these measures make any difference apart from a miserable time for the visitors being stuck in queues for up to two hours where there is no social distancing being enforced anyway. Rides also seemed to be breaking down all the time too which made it worse. Managed a few rides but was extremely frustrating, we did not get value for money. No maps provided and no clear signage in the park. Park was only open until 7pm, and they closed most of the rides a good 30-60 min before that, just seems to be all about the money for them. My younger son was looking forward to Nickelodeon land but it was just so packed with very long queues. My older teen was disappointed with only going on two of the big rides, again due to queues. The one good thing was the eat out to help out at the cafe kiosk as the cost would’ve been extortionate for a few hot dogs and drinks otherwise.
