Not just lovespoons and Welsh blankets, this houses some of the best jewellery makers, potters and artists in Wales.

There are interesting and well curated exhibitions from time to time and it is often staffed by the artists.

I love this place - the whole of the Bay should be more like this rather than chain restaurants. Artists should all benefit from lower business rates as there aren't enough and they make a city breathe.

Classy fine craft shop and art installation area. Traditional and contemporary craft work (especially jewellery, textiles and pottery) made by members of the national Welsh craft guild. Great quality and great to support. Much rather get something here than a chintzy shop or mall. Worth the visit. Be prepares to pay for the quality and artistry. High end and well done!

Some gorgeous pieces in this little exhibition/gallery/retail space in the Bay area, showcasing a wide variety of Welsh talent in a variety of crafts including glass, pottery, jewellery and textiles amongst others. There is a café next door.

Whether we looked like we had no money to spend or people who don't like art or a bit of both but my word the atmosphere was frosty and we were ignored by everyone, a real shame as we were looking to buy a painting and some pottery for our Edwardian house. An error of judgement on the staff there or big mistake HUGE!!

There are a wide range of items in this shop. It has a mixture of art and crafts. And a surprisingly large range of jewellery, scarves and bags. So it party depends what you are looking for - perhaps best for those wanting a beautiful item for themselves or their house. If you want a statement piece of jewellery, then this is a good place to go. Prices are not cheap but probably better than the prices in jewellery fairs. There is an amazing range of choice and you know that you are supporting a local jewellery maker.

I've seen quite a few exhibitions here and there are a lot of interesting jewellery, sculptures and crafts on display. However, my experience with the staff here has left a bit of a sour note. On one occasion I fell in love with one of the artworks in an exhibition and I enquired about purchasing it, as a sign above it said it was for sale. When I spoke to a member of staff about it she looked at me like I'd offended her and she said it wasn't for sale as it was part of an exhibition. I pointed out the sign needs to be corrected and she didn't respond. On another occasion I stood by the till waiting to ask a question and the two staff ignored me and carried on discussing a document they were looking it. I've come to the conclusion that this place considers itself to primarily be a gallery rather than a shop.

I love coming here to look around but find most of the goods expensive. Ok for special occasion gifts I guess. I particularly like the coloured glassware and the jewellery. Will buy lots once I've won the lottery! Also a great selection of Welsh cards that you can't find anywhere else.

After spending an absorbing time in the craft gallery which was excellent, we found our way into the cafe adjoining and I ordered from a very interesting selection of salads. We went upstairs to a very nice eating area, well laid out and overlooking the area in front of the Millenium Centre. My salad arrived, beautifully presented and I started eating with relish. However, my attention was drawn to a very athletic caterpillar that suddenly peeped out of the lettuce! I removed the lettuce leaf with accompanying sprinkling of caterpillar poo and took it - very discreetly - downstairs to show the waitress. She backed away in disgust, offered no apology or comment, so I went back upstairs to finish what I could of my salad. No mention was made of this unpleasant ‘find’ by any member of staff and we left the cafe somewhat bemused!

Not what we thought we would see for crafts in the bay. Very pricey for some of the goods. Thought we would see more locally crafted items

This is one of the highlights of any visit to the Bay. Amazing makers and first-class exhibitions all in one place. Yes it's quite expensive, but Artists are so under-appreciated for the work they do in Britain and they deserve our support.
