Tafoni Houses Cave Hotel

Staff, service, food and the accommodations were fabulous! They went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. The chef was terrific - he made adjustments to allergies and remembered them the entire time we stayed there.

The best stay I had in Turkey the are the most hospitable people and make you feel so welcome. I was on my own 22 to 24th May and stayed there. Chocolate fondue in my room spa and king size bed with fluffy pillows. It was just wonderful. The chef is the best he catered for my vegetarian taste which is hard in Turkey . Came and to see what I’d like and checked after if I enjoyed. Thank you to all the staff who made my stay memorable

The accommodation here was spectacular. We were greeted by all the staff, complimentary drink, chocolate fondue & fruit bowl in our room. The meals were fantastic. Fresh and tasty, plentiful & varied. Best if all were the staff who went above and beyond for us. No requests were too much for them. They appreciated our culture soo much they requested a waiata (song) which we happily provided soo they could video and use for their website. Truly a place to return to, I highly recommend staying here.

This was an amazing hotel. The rooms were spacious and beautiful. All staff were helpful respectful they couldn’t do enough for our group. Would definitely return and highly recommend. We were the group of 8 Maori from New Zealand and our tour guide was Erkin

The best cave hotel in Ortahisar, Ürgüp. Every corner of this hotel has semi-antique traditional Turkish items with modern touches here and there. The rooms take your breath away. We stayed in two different rooms, 106 and 103, and loved them both. The breakfast is a spread of all scrumptious Turkish tastes including the Turkish tea. It is more than enough. We also had our dinners in the hotel restaurant because the food is delicious. Thanks to the chef. Thanks to the friendly and helpful staff. Our stay was beyond our expectations.

My stay at Tafoni Cave Hotel was wonderful! The hotel is located in a charming town surrounded by the natural beauty of Cappadocia’s landscape. As a travel professional I was incredibly impressed with the standard of the hotel with meticulously designed suites that showcase history, art and culture and are without doubt the best in the region! The cave design is incredibly special and I particularly love the jacuzzi bath tub! Food is delicious and the superb staff make for a really personal stay :) I highly recommend this hotel and can’t wait to visit again!

If you are looking for a quality hotel, please stop at Tafoni cave hotel. We stayed there 3 nights and it was a great experience for the following reasons: The friendliness and helpfulness of staff (Seyithan, especially). The rooms were very clean and comfortable. We were extremely impressed thanks for the location of this hotel as it is close to many tourist attractions. The atmosphere is cozy and the public spaces are impeccably furnished. The food was very delicious.

My best friend and I were traveling from America and had an amazing stay at Tafoni. The beds were very comfortable and the room was always clean. What set this place apart was the amazing staff that made us feel like we were at a 5 star hotel by following through immediately on any request we had, small or large. The chef, Sadi, was absolutely incredible and makes the best traditional Turkish pizza. The waitress, Fatos, was amazing as well. the manager, Halit, spoke great English and was very attentive to us. Yusuf at the front desk was so kind. I am missing some others but truly every staff member we came into contact with treated us like family and with the utmost care. I would recommend this little gem to anyone coming to Cappadocia who is looking for a less touristy and more authentic Turkish experience. I will definitely be back! We stayed at Tafoni in May 2022 as part of our Turkey trip and had an amazing experience with this location. The night we arrived, it was very late.. The hotel staff was so considerate that they kept food for us (a full meal and not just a few items) packaged beautifully. The service we received was exceptional and extremely personalized right from the reception to the chef who took great efforts to accommodate our tastes. We loved our time here. Please do consider supporting this place. It is very close to Goreme and the Open Air Museum. Other nice spots around are the panoramic spot 5 mins away.
