My best friend was visiting, and we wanted to make sure she saw snow. When booking the Pike's Peak tour, we told them we were all blind and would appreciate having descriptions, as well as opportunities to be able to get out and experience as much as possible, including, of course, the snow. We ended up having the jeep for just the four of us: my husband, my best friend, my guide dog, and me. Our driver, Sidewinder, went above and beyond to make the tour enjoyable for us all, including my guide dog. He took so much time explaining things, letting us get out and touch things, including a snow plow, an icicle, and a big wall of snow near the top of Pike's Peak. He even threw in some extra things. For instance, we drank water from one of the springs at Manitou, and climbed up some red rocks at Garden of the Gods. He also helped us find items in the gift shop, describing them in detail. He even volunteered to take pictures so we could share with our friends and family. The fact that he was clearly enjoying the experience along with us made it even more special and meaningful. We are so thankful to Sidewinder, and to Adventures Out West, for such a memorable and amazing experience. We look forward to taking additional tours with them, and would wholeheartedly recommend them.
Show more...We took the Jeep tour of Garden of the Gods and other Colorado Springs sights with our guide, Summit. What a great time we had! Summit was friendly, accommodating, and just plain fun. He combined history and backstory on the areas we visited with his own personal stories and experiences. The time flew by. Two unique things Summit did which we really enjoyed: he played music at various points along the trip to set the mood or to bring a story to life. He also was an expert at helping us find the best places to take a photo and helped frame it up. We would highly recommend you ask for Summit when you are looking to get acquainted with Colorado Springs.
Show more...We came on a Tuesday evening for ziplining and loved every second of it! ALL the staff were great! You can tell they enjoy what they are doing. They took time to talk with everyone and made the kids (ages 6, 8, 12) feel comfortable. We can't wait to come back and zipline again!
Show more...My family of 10 went on the Garden of the Gods Jeep tour and I wanted to give feedback on our experience. Half went with Sidewinder and half went with Mustang Sally. Overall, it was a good experience, however I was disappointed in the significant variations between the 2 tours despite paying the same price.
First, the 5 who took the tour with Sidewinder could not have had a better time. He had a microphone so the entire jeep could hear, gave amazing details, took plenty of pictures of the family, gave prizes for seeing widelife, monopoly card telling about the Short Line, and patches from AOW. In doing all of this, the group said he could not have been happier to take them and share all of this with them. The group said he was the best tour guide they ever had.
The 2nd group was with Mustang Sally. The jeep did not have a microphone so the ones in the back could not hear. Mustang Sally was much more reserved, challenging to engage, gave details that were interesting, but with a lot of silence in-between. She took minimal pictures per request and did not provide any of the fun, engaging prizes the other tour was given (and the 2nd tour had the younger kids who would have LOVED this to keep them interested). This tour got back sooner than Sidewinder's tour because he showed them more, despite Sidewinder leading the majority of the time.
One tour got the entire experience and more, whereas tour 2 was quite disappointing for something we were initially very excited about. We live in Indiana and will not get this opportunity again.
A group of 8 family members went on the Old West High Country 4x4 Jeep tour on Aug 4, 2021. We had two jeeps like the one pictured above and our guides were Denim and Sidewinder. They were amazing! Each of them had so much knowledge about the area we were visiting and it was great to listen to the history and stories they knew about the area. We stopped at some beautiful overlooks and they gave us plenty of time to take pictures and enjoy the scenery. Both Denim and Sidewinder have awesome personalities and it was such an enjoyable day. They could not have been more accommodating and I would highly recommend this trip. We had looked into a jeep tour of Garden of the Gods, but when we talked to Adventures Out West about this trip, it seemed like it would be much more adventurous and it was! We went through tunnels, and climbed bumpy dirt roads along the old railroad paths through Cheyenne Canyon, and it gave us an experience we could never have done on our own! They gave us snacks and drinks and we changed seats along the way so everyone could experience the best views. They had blankets and seat warmers to keep us comfortable. You won't be disappointed. Denim even gave us a digital camera to use, and then mailed us a CD of the pictures. What a great surprise. And each of them gave us a little parting gift to remember them as we left. A great day and we would do it again next time we are in the area.
Show more...The knowledge that our guide, Denim had was the best thing about the trip. From the moment he introduced himself to the minute the tour was over he had us laughing and asking more questions. He made the ride comfortable, he had blankets, snacks, and water. I wouldn't want to go up Pikes Peak with anyone but Denim and Adventures Out West!!
Show more...My fiancé and I booked the last available tour for the day. We had no idea what to expect but we are SO glad we booked this one. Our tour guide, Summit, was AMAZING! He was really knowledgeable about the the park and of the surrounding cities/areas. He did a great job of breaking down all of the rock formations, history of the park, and taking pictures of us at all of the popular spots. He was awesome and we had such a great time! I would highly recommend taking this tour! And a huge shout out to Summit for a great experience!
Show more...It was raining at Garden of the Gods when we arrived, so the tram was canceled. The kiosk attendant offered a Jeep tour instead and it was a good choice! We were paired with two other couples to join Ringo and it was a wonderful experience. He knew his history, the back stories, and shared much information about each location. He even put his own comical spin on a few things, thus keeping us on our toes and giving us some laughs even in the gloomy weather.
If you’re given a choice, choose Ringo in his blazing orange Jeep. You will have a blast!

We chose this company because we had only a few days in this area. They fit the bill! I had booked 3 tours in the day, Hot Air Balloon, zip lining and the jeep tour. From the first phone call coordinating the times, through the final drop off on the jeep tour, the whole group of people we interacted with were AWESOME! Every single person that works here have the same mentality, how did the assemble such an amazing crew??? Everyone was genuinely accommodating and helpful. Shame on me for not remembering our guides name, she was really pleasant and occasionally funny She had jokes. She did an extraordinary job at taking us through town, along the old railroad route and over to the Garden of the God's. She was extremely knowledgeable and genuinely accommodating (THANK YOU!) The jeep tour is worth every penny and I would highly recommend it!

We did a large family trolley/jeep tour through Garden of the Gods and it was enjoyed by all ages in our group. We celebrated "Grandpa Jack's" 85th birthday, which our guide, Sidewinder, played up to everyone's delight. A special shoutout to Emmie of Adventures Out West for getting us scheduled and offering a workable tour to include a jeep for our guests who exceeded the allowable number on the trolley.
Show more...And thanks again to Ringo for driving and entertaining our jeep riders.
The early tour was a bit cool and cloudy, but AOW provided warm blankets and coaxed the sun out for some terrific views and photos.
With much gratitude from,
