What a lovely afternoon in a beautiful setting! Greeted with sparkling wine by a delightful family. After a short talk by Dad, we were taken on a very informative tour of the vineyard by Louis via the Llama enclosure. This was followed by the most delicious home cooked meal and served with both red and white wine. Everything was perfect and I would highly recommend to anyone who enjoys both food and wine.

Visited this vineyard following Christmas gift voucher of vineyard tour, wine tasting selected wines and lunch. A great experience on all fronts and excellent value for money. Beautiful vineyard/ location and wonderful hosts and staff. A great gift and would certainly recommend

I received a voucher for Glyndwr vineyard tour for my 40th birthday and it was one of the best tours I’ve experienced. We had a glass of sparkling wine on arrival and sat outside in the sun while we had a bit of a history of the vineyard. Then the owner took us around the vineyard, providing really interesting detail about the wine process and the different vines. Was lovely to meet the 3 llamas and then had a fab homemade lunch. After the tour we were able to sit outside in the sun with a cocktail - a fab experience. Thank you/ Diolch

Interesting few hours at Wales’ oldest (estd 1979) vineyard.
A hilly walk from Cowbridge where we were staying, but worth it (and obviously alternative transport is an option).
Warm welcome from one of the sons of the family on arrival; a stunning glass of chilled fizz put in your hand, from a safe distance as you sit down; even the owner himself popped over for some short, polite small talk, before we had a 10min presentation about the history of the site and the wine industry in general, then a wander to see the Wesson mini-sheep and llamas(!) who protect them, followed by a meander through the vines, with more interesting chat about soil and aspect from one of the 2nd generation brothers who have returned to help tend to the family’s plot.
Lunch was gorgeous and very plentiful; homemade, with love, on site, incl a plate piled high with bread and Welsh cheese, plus 2 more glasses of wine, served as part of the tour (and more, incl ciders and beers, offered to buy - which we did!).
Blessed with a lovely sunny day, which made it perfect, but still a very recommendable trip.

Last Saturday my husband and I had a wonderful time in the beautiful surroundings of the Glyndwr vineyards. The warm welcome into this beautiful part of Wales was accompanied by reminders of Covid protocols which were in place( and adhered to).
After some fizz and a very interesting , brief introduction from Gary, our large group split into two so that each of the sons could take us on a guided tour. Any questions from the group were answered honestly and with self deprecating humour. It certainly wasn’t heavy handed. Next we met the resident llamas who were quite happy to keep their distance, too.
A most delicious lunch was served as we sat in the marquee beside the vineyard. The produce was local and included the most delicious quiche I have ever eaten. That pastry!!! Accompanying the filling meal was a glass of white and also of red. The atmosphere was very relaxed- it was lovely.
Of course, there was an opportunity to purchase wine and also brandy, cider and beer which are produced there.
I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend a visit here.

Fantastic experience in such difficult times. Every effort was made to ensure safety and we were totally reassured of this as immediately on arrival there was a hand sanitiser and the person serving us our welcome "bubbly" wore a mask. An informative talk and tour was followed by a delicious and substantial lunch with complementary wines.
A personal thank you to those who helped my mother when she tripped as we were leaving and for their genuine concern.
Extremely good value - would highly recommend.

My husband and I visited there with a tour group. It was one of the most magical nights. The scenery was beautiful with the vines full of grapes, the llamas and sheep grazing in the yard. The best part was the wine and food! The food was very fresh, well made and delicious. I definitely recommend!

Well what can we say. We are so so grateful for the whole Glyndwr family for making our wedding day in June so special.

After many twists and turns planning a wedding during a pandemic, we were recommended Glyndwr after a really bad experience with venue we had booked initially two years ago. And despite the stress of that situation, I am so glad it led us to this wonderful vineyard and team. It was meant to be!

It really was the best day of our lives and the dream wedding we had always planned. After such a year of ups and downs, we we're beginning to think we would never get there, but it ended up being more perfect than we could ever have imagined.

The team were always on hand to support with everything throughout the day and in the lead up to it. Replying to emails same day and being incredible patient with my numerous spreadsheets and plans!

The barn and surroundings just looked so beautiful and I had so many compliments from guests saying they just couldn't believe how gorgeous everything looked. Right down to the flowers in the llama's hair that made a guest appearance for the kiddies!

With all of the changing rules and guidance, we were so thankful to have found such a flexible and caring team to help us make our guests feel safe and comfortable. Nothing was ever too much hassle.

So if you're looking for a special, unique and informal wedding venue with rustic charm, flexibility to make it your own, a beautiful setting and a team that go above and beyond for you - you're in the right place.

I couldn't recommend them enough and I can't wait to go back.

Wonderful day as always. Interesting tour of the vineyard with history thrown in. Friendly family run business. Plenty of wine to taste ( and buy afterwards) and the home-cooked food is delicious. The sun shone and the back drop of the stunning vineyard and gardens was magical. Thank you for a memorable day x

Booked this present for the in-laws birthday. Very easy to find. Dropped them off and picked up. They very much enjoyed, had a glass of sparkling wine on arrival then went around in a group for the tour. Lovely sunny day. They said the food was amazing and a very nice family run business. Would go myself next time!
