We’re so much more than a theatre. Our visitors enjoy blockbuster West End musicals, opera, ballet and contemporary dance, hip hop and stand up comedy, art exhibitions, workshops, training days, free daily foyer performances, guided tours, bars and restaurants... there is something for everyone.
Show more...Visited at half term. The foyer is a cold unwelcoming space with no content of any interest. They have closed the only shop in the centre so you can’t buy anything in the centre other than over priced prepacked food. The coffee shop at thefar end is quite cold. This is not a visitor attraction, it a boring bleak waste of space.
Show more...Yet another fantastic evening at this lovely venue. Les Miserables was brilliant, The cast were amazing , we were seated in the raised stalls and had a great view.As I live literally 5 minutes away from this venue, it's ideal for me.I have been to many shows, and always enjoy my visits to the Millenium Centre. Great job!
Show more...I visited today with my grandaughter to see a children’s show. We arrived at 10am so I thought I would get a coffee in the new coffee shop/bar in the foyer. There were only 2 people working there - one taking orders one making coffee despite it being very busy. I was told there would be a 10 minute wait for coffee( you are unable to take your coffee into the auditorium even in a takeaway cup with a lid. I also visited the ice cream cart and obviously someone completely inexperienced was serving there. He had difficulty serving the cones - there was an extremely small amount of ice cream served and it was £5 !! I’d think seriously about using any of the cafe/ bar in the WMC again. Not impressed !!
Show more...We came to watch The Lion King. We booked quite a while after ticket release and weren’t sure we had paid for the best seats, but when we got into the theatre we saw that it would be hard not to have a great view. It’s a beautiful theatre that isn’t too big, allowing for a great experience wherever you’re sat. We were in raised stalls (row R) and it was perfectly suitable. Highly recommend!
Show more...As a regular visitor here it’s always an enjoyable experience.
I thought on this occasion the sound quality was quite poor.
The issue of inadequate provision of toilets for ladies needs to be resolved - should there really need to be such long queues during shows?
Our second visit to this venue (the first many years ago to a Karl Jenkins concert). This time to see the musical 'Six'. The centre has great acoustics, as one would expect from a music venue in Wales. Seating also very comfortable. Highly recommended.
Show more...Visited the center today to watch The Lion King. The show was outstanding well worth the 2 year wait. The reason I didn't give it the full 5 stars was because the center let themselves down a little. During the interval I took my children to the toilets and as you can imagine there was a queue so eventually returned to the hall where we noticed a member of staff serving ice cream. I went over to queue and was told I had to sit back down as nobody else was be sold ice cream. So I sat back down and waited for the show to start back with 2 disappointed children. Then I over heard a lady trying to by a programme with cash. The right amount too £10 and was being told no she couldn't purchase one as they only accept card payment. So if you are visiting take a card not cash.
Show more...J53 -Upper Circle. This seat has no view (see photo attached). We let the website pick our seats and this is what it gave us. Unfortunately the restricted view warning was in minute text in my 'basket' and was missed. The price was the same as for a full view ticket and it no warning was printed on the tickets. Both of which would have alerted me to the restricted view and allowed me to do something about it before the performance.
WMC have been unhelpful and unsympathetic which is a shame!
Went to Lion King on Tuesday August 2nd. Completely wheelchair accessible. Seats were amazing. We were on floor 1 so need to use the lift. Only one small lift for the whole venue! It has 6 floors and so it’s not a disabled only lift. When we arrived there was a steward manning the lift on floor 0 and was only letting disabled people use it. However once you’re off that floor and after the event it was a free for all! We had to go to floor 2 for the bar. Back to floor one took 5 minutes. Back up to floor 2 at interval, another 5 minutes, back down to be told the disabled toilets were out of order on floor 1! Back down to ground, 5 minutes, back up 5 minutes! At the end! Chaos! After 10 minutes of full lifts we pressed to go up. Empty lift! Went up every floor and stopped, but got out! You need more lifts!

Tonight has been our first time actually back in the theatre since lockdowns have been lifted, the show we saw was amazing but the centre was not, every phase changed since it’s reopened and not in a good way.
Show more...As you first enter through the main door you are confronted with a massive billboard style structure baking the the entrance claustrophobic instead of a big open space where the ticket desk a coat check was. The bars where always very under staffed but tonight the Queue for the bar stretched out of the room and down the staires.
The venders refused cash and only credit cards so after queuing for ages to get an ice-cream we where turned away to get card sending us to back of line.
We’ve also been trying to buy tickets for a small group of friends but it’s impossible to talk to anyone over the phone.
The New Theatre last night was a world away , friendly staff great evening , shan’t bd back in a long time
