Welcome to Seven Dials, the intriguing network of seven atmospheric streets that link Covent Garden to Soho. Always buzzy, packed with independent boutiques, international fashion labels, heritage brands, beauty salons, men’s grooming specialists, traditional pubs, cool cocktail bars, cafes, restaurants, theatres and smart hotels; historic Seven Dials is modern London’s most original shopping and lifestyle destination.

Trendy and cute area in London. Often decorated with union flags. The story is that all buildings around the dials were pubs with underground tunnels connecting each pub. Nowadays, not all of it are Pubs and I am not sure if the tunnel is open.

We were watching Harry Potter at the Palace across and popped over to see the lights. It is a lovely walk with some good shops and eateries, such as sushi and hotdogs. There is a also a nice gallery where you can get some decent prints.

There is a beautiful fountain with lights, as well as some great shopping such as Neil’s cheeses.

It is called seven dials as it used to have seven lanes intersecting at this point. There is a good foodcourt here though we did not dine there this time.

Truffle Burger

Jodie and crew were working flat out, cooked to a bit pink in the middle are you OK with that..yes..

Jodie said to my lady best burger he will have eaten..

Did not disappoint, was sooo tasty. Photos say it all.

Seven Dials on a Saturday lunch was a bit manic, no one complaining though as food choices excellent.

Will definitely be going back.

More interesting and less touristy than Covent Garden. A decent variety of shops, restaurants and cafés to choose from. Small alleys with secluded outdoor seating and good people-watching opportunities.

Great little area just off Covent Garden. Easy to overlook in all the west end hype but a really great quirky, full of life little area. Well worth a stray out of Covent Garden to experience this little slice of hustle and bustle. Plenty of eating places.

Walked through Seven Dials multiple times. It might be my favourite neighbourhood in London. Absolutely loved all the little shops and the Christmas lights hung meeting at the center of the Seven Dials.

Opened in September 2019. Large food market over two levels. Basement level has about 10 great food stalls with seating. From seafood to burgers to Asian. We opted for pork bao rolls from one vendor and chicken wings from the vendor next door. Really great taste for both. Reasonable serving sizes and reasonable prices. A plate of chicken wings cost GBP 6 and the pork bao rolls cost GBP 8.50 for two. It was busy at lunch time (as you ‘d expect) but service was reasonably fast. Toilets in the basement. A new place for lunch after a morning shopping at Convent Garden. Really enjoyed it!

Seven Dials is a small square close to Soho, Leicerter Square and West End, where seven streets converge and around them a great area packed with small design stores, from fashion, jewelry hand made, stylish footwear, eyewear and accessories; an enchanting and irresistible temptation for shoppers. Within the zone they are pedestrian zones like Neal St., Mercel St. and Langrey St. and an encircle between buildings shopper yard, St. Martin’s Court Yard.

Also, the area encloses many restaurants and bars to have a drink and many theaters to attend a great play performance. A vibrant and lively area, which is limited between Shaftesbury and Long Acre St., just up Covent Garden area.

It is one of my favorite places and I visit it on every occasion I have to see plays at the Donmar Warehouse or, as in this last occasion, in the Noel Coward Theater (Peter and Alice play) and in the Gielgud Theater (the Audience play).

Of the many shops in its streets, I love Neal's Yard Dairy famous for its wonderful selection of cheeses like delectable Crozier Blue, a creamy blue cheese that goes great with the Fig Relish that is available in the store or the gorgeous goat cheeses as Tymsboro or Inneslog, silky and smooth the first, dense and intense the second, which one can combine with chutney Plum Spice. On the other hand, if you prefer something sweet, chocolate lovers will enjoy Hotel Chocolat at 4 Monmouth St., a small sin that all any one can afford.

Another very special store is Neal's Yard Remedies with natural beauty products hard to resist. I love its Lavander soaps, the French olive and other essential oils and its wonderful Geranium & Orange Body Scrubs.

Maybe you may need a flowers bouquet, so strikingly in the corner of the square and Earlham St. there is always a seller in a caravan with blossom fresh flowers that lets you out of trouble.

If you like travel books at Long Acre St. 12-14 there is Stanfords a three floors store with all kinds of maps, guides and travel books. My last purchase was a detailed map of cycling routes in the Austrian Tyrol and a fascinating book about the quiet corners of Paris. Other macro bookshop is Foyles in Charing Cross St., with four floors filled with all kinds of books and a special section for theater lovers, a place where you can find the texts which are playing on theaters.

To relax and enjoy a good beer at no tourist sites, I love the quiet, the traditional pub The Two Brewers with a fireplace, lovely during cold days and a few streets below there is The Lamb and Flag, another great pub that has retained over the years its old charm.

If you like Belgian-style mussels, Belgo Central is the restaurant to go. It was opened in the mid-90 and was the first of its kind. Their juicy mussels are amazing. My favorite one is the Thai mussel pot with a side plate of frites and one of its more than 60 beers. It is important to make a reservation in advance, as it is often packed.

Besides the mussels, it also has a wide varity of dishes that will delate any paladar. The restaurant is a spacious dining room with a especial industrial furniture design. And the best part for lover theathers is its location, just opposite to the Donmar

Hidden away in Covent garden you can discover the Seven Dials based on an original construction over 3 hundred years ago, the blue shines nicely on a sunny day and the area around it is worth a wander.

Doesn't exist on trip advisor yet as just opened but looks amazing! Lots of food stalls and restaurants in a converted Banana Warehouse off Neals Yard and Seven Dials. Will become a bucket list destination I'm sure.
