I am very disappointed after I booked two seats to see the Nutcracker on the 18/12/2021 for myself and a friend. This was booked on the 1st July 2021 and unfortunately, by the 9th September 2021, due to personal circumstances, I needed to cancel the tickets.

I contacted the box-office to be told that they do not do refunds, I assumed this was because it was passed the 14-day period, which I completely understood and so requested if they could give me a credit voucher instead. I was told that this also was not possible as they do not give refunds at all!

This was not clear to me, on their website and had it have been, I certainly would never have booked the tickets for this show with them. I am extremely disappointed in their "grab your cash" attitude and certainly will never be using this organisation for any shows in the future!

The most horrendous theatres experience I have ever had. Particular few members of staff are awful and when we complained that the seats we purchased at £75 with partially restricted views, we’re in fact un viewable at all for our little 6 & 7 year old girls unless they stood for the whole performance. Which is about 2.5 hours long ! We asked for booster seats, which apparently they aren’t allowed for some strange reason. I told the particular awful staff member this wasn’t good enough At the interval after having the most uncomfortable and totally not enjoyable 1st half of the show ruined the same staff member approached me to say she could move us but it would cost an extra £20 per seat. We were already leaving by that stage .
It was my daughters 7th birthday by the way which the staff knew and she didn’t care !!! We spent £300 for this awful experience . I apologise to the few staff that were lovely and also to the show itself which had we been able to enjoy, we would have . I will never visit this theatre again .

We went as a group to see Carmen by ENO and really enjoyed the opera, though very dark and haunting. Sitting in the upper circle we were unable to see very much, as visibility was poor and most of the action was at the front of the stage. In addition the seats have minimal legroom and you cannot stretch your legs at all, as the seat in front goes down to floor level. It was most uncomfortable. However, the theatre itself is very decorative and appealing.

We went to see The Nutcracker for my birthday, sat in the upper circle. The performance was amazing, and the theatre itself is beautiful with a lovely feel to it. Unfortunately, we had a woman and her child in front of us who refused to sit properly in their seats (e.g. sitting on very front edge of their seat, hoisting themselves out of their seat by leaning on the arm rests, and leaning very far forwards). This blocked mine and my boyfriend’s view of the stage, and also blocked the view of two ladies sat behind us. We politely asked the woman to sit properly and she refused, so we spoke to the theatre staff, who refused to help or intervene other than splitting us up and giving us separate seats. I find this quite surprising given how militant the policing of people on their phones is (and rightly so). A man also shouted very loudly at a girl sat in front of him in the middle of the show, which caused a large disturbance, but again there was no intervention from the staff who just stood and watched on. I found it quite odd!

I would come again, but next time I’d just pay more to sit at the front of the upper circle so that you don’t run the risk of being exposed to rude and selfish members of the public. It’s a shame to have to do so though, because the staff should intervene if people are causing such disturbances.

Three of us went to see The Nutcracker, a ballet which we haven’t seen for a few years. Wonderful dancing - such talent - and excellent choreography. We had a good view from the second row in the Upper Circle. We thought the scenery was a bit drab which tended to detract from the performance. Theatre staff were excellent.

We had a great visit for The Nutcracker on Christmas Eve. Tickets were ordered online and collected at Willcall with no problem. The theater staff was excellent in moving the crowds, bar service was excellent. The theater is a beautiful venue and adds to the experience. We had very inexpensive seats, so were at the very top. The top of the set was not visible, but we knew this. The acoustics were very good and we really enjoyed the orchestra and the entire performance. It was an excellent, professional production. It was a fantastic start to Christmas Eve.

We saw My Fair Lady last night, and had balcony seats. The view was pretty good, for bargain priced tickets. Depending on how much you want to pay for tickets, I would recommend considering other seating options, because there isn't enough leg room in the balcony seats. We still had a wonderful time just experiencing the thrill of attending. The theater is gorgeous and ornate. All staff were very friendly amd helpful. Acoustics were outstanding. We had a lovely night.

Having booked to see the show nearly two years ago and having seen it cancelled and rebooked three times because of the covid situation my wife and I finally went to the matinée performance on the 18th August.
Imagine our disappointment when Michael Ball was missing .
We appreciate that circumstances can require changes but no mention prior to the start of the performance , or within the programme or the theatres website .We only booked to see Michael, a great disappointment

The Coliseum is a truly beautiful theatre. We went to see My Fair Lady on this occasion, which is a very long show. A very good show, but very long. As a result, we found the seats became considerably uncomfortable the longer we sat. The staff on this occasion were incredibly rude. When we arrived the usher shouted at me to enlarge my phone image of my ticket (which I was in the process of finding my spectacles so that I could do this). He was so rude to my sister that she actually told him to change his tone! My elderly (79 year old) mother had a diabetic hypo during the interval and when we asked the staff for medical help, we got a 'sorry nothing we can do' reply and then he turned his back on us and went back to unloading his ice cream to the ice cream seller. Fortunately my mother has lived to tell this tale, but I wouldn't recommend anyone to visit this theatre unless they are in full health and able-bodied. Clearly their customer service is as archaic as the building!

Really sensational music that brings life to the ears and the dance was spectacular- a sight to see! The costumes flows so well with the dance.

I had seats at the balcony and although I am not expecting much, it was a very hard seat and very very petite size. Might be uncomfortable for some.
