It is a big place and is a bit like a maze inside, but it's exciting to see all the rare pieces, vintage and antiques. The antique jewellery are beautiful and plentiful to choose from. Some furniture are just amazing, but extremely pricey.

It is a lovely place to browse. And the rooftop cafe is an excellent place to take a rest with some simple healthy food and drinks.

Highly recommended !!

Enjoyed visiting Alfies Antiques Market, which has a great selection of various antiques from a variety of different periods. Central London location meant may items were at higher prices than I am used to, but I was expecting this and I imagine their overheads must be enormous. I bought a beautiful Danish silver pendant, which I am very pleased with.

As some reviewers have attested, not all the stalls in Alfie's are selling bargains or uniformly sensational products. But firstly, you don't come here for the cheapness; secondly, a lot of the stuff is still pretty fascinating to behold; and thirdly, if you want bargain furniture go to DFS.

You're missing the point - this is a great destination off the beaten track with eccentric charm, a major factor of surprise, and an authenticity to everything about it.

I have to confess that I never go to buy, and I know little about the contents from an evaluative perspective. I go there for the immersive weirdness of the place, and the look on the face of a person when you take them there for the first time. Through the art deco and later-20th century cabinets, chandeliers, lamps, card tables, dressers, statuettes, and obscure pieces of art, past the jewellers and vintage posters, via the light, airy, open metal staircase which sits over a large indoor fish pond it's different, it's a delight, and it's delightfully different.

Upstairs on the rooftop, the cafe serves a fairly basic menu but does so competently and I never go to Alfie's without going there. It's the logical conclusion of your mazy ascent, and it's something I look forward to every time.

I don't know how to put it any other way - I bloody love this place.

In Time Out magazine, it does say "The prices are a bit steep". Wow, that is some understatement. This place is so overpriced the dealers bordered on greedy. I questioned one stall holder as to why she felt that something was worth what she wanted for it, in the full knowledge of what I was looking at. Her reply, (after telling me she wasn't "in mood" for questions) for the 500% over valuation, was "It's my choice". Fair enough, but there is a reason why they are still on the shelf. It was cramped to walk around and that was with approximately 4 other customers. Also, there is a predominance of big statement lighting. I didn't see one eco friendly light bulb, and everything was lit up like Oxford St on Christmas Eve. Places like this are quite frankly a rip off, appealing to people with more money than sense. Avoid.

I have been here a couple of times and enjoy wandering round looking at some nice stuff priced at London rates. Some of the stall holders were very friendly and nice to talk to, there were two however that were the exception and this has put me off a bit.

One lady spoke sharply and snarkily to me about picking up a necklace so, being offended, I walked out immediately without buying anything. Another young lady who I would guess is an employee of the stallholder barely looked up from her phone when I made a remark about how pretty the space was (all white lace and rhinestone) and couldn't be bothered to either acknowledge me or take her earphones out.

So there you go - a fascinating place full of great stuff but you take your chances on who is there and how they treat you.

I find the road not much to talk about either - most of the "antique" shops were closed when I was there on a Tuesday morning.

I am a passionate antique collector and so Alfie's is my kind of paradise. This is the biggest undercover antiques centre in London and you will find everything here, to suit all budgets and there is lots of honest, specialist advice to assist the novice looking for something a little bit different.

Just don't get carried away and remember that ticket prices are merely a starting point!

I'm sorry we wasted the time to trek out there to Marylebone. Most of the stalls were unattended. The cafe was pretty ordinary. I suppose we were looking for a Bargain Hunt experience. It isn't there. Don't bother!

I was looking for another antique market in London for my mum as notting hill seemed overrated, and the other one near borough wasn't on. I found this place from tripadvisor and thought I would give it a try- anyways- location is not well sign posted but just look at the map, it's about 5-7 min walk from Marlyborne station. The place has around 3 floors and various sellers in the building so good when it is bad weather outside! It has number of things from cheap to expensive including silverware, jewelery and also some really cool vintage clothes. Some of the shops were closed on that day but it has all the numbers on the door so if you have any interested in the objects you can call the dealer etc. We got some good bargains that day and don't hesitate to haggle. The sellers are all friendly and interested in telling you the products history etc ( not like notting hill one where they won't even look at you depending on what you are wearing). There is a cafe there if you fancy as well. I think if you are looking for some antique furniture ( not the old ones but the cool italian/funky ones ) there is a whole floor dedicated to pretty cool stuff there too. So it is pretty cool! I managed to get some pretty metal cups/sauce pots for 2 pounds each which is also a bargain.

Came here looking for two table lamps for a work assignment. Browsing around, nobody seemed interested in helping me out or providing any guidance. When did find someone to help at one of the stalls it was almost as if my questions to him were a waste of his time. When I did find two lamps at another staff I snapped a picture to send to my boss, and you would have thought that I had smashed the lamps on the floor. I was immediately approached by two people who said “NO PHOTOS ANYWHERE ON THIS FLOOR!” Very unwelcoming and makes one very feel very put off, so I left. Could have made a purchase, but opted not to. There’s plenty of other places in London to go to for antiques. Places that are more customer friendly.

Amazing antique/collectibles dealer collective - things you probably find anywhere else. You could spend all day here if you wanted to.

Lovely cafe on the roof that gives an almost Mary Poppins views across the roof tops of Marylebone.
