We are a Falconry business offering experience days, courses, Hen & Stag party entertainment, birthday parties and of course displays at shows. we also provide educational visits to schools, and pet therapy for care homes.
Show more...I booked half a day of falconry here for my girlfriend as an anniversary present. Roger was a wonderful guide - helping to keep the surprise going, teaching us a lot of interesting things and telling us a lot of amusing stories. We got to learn about, feed and fly a Red Kite, Barn Owl, Harris Hawk and a Falcon. All the birds had their own personalities and quirks which made each one a unique experience to explore.
I'd definitely recommend a morning doing this at Roger's farm. It's something different and therefore unforgettable. Just take note that you cannot just turn up and take a session, you must book a ticket online and then call them to arrange exactly when you want to do your session. As we were on a strict schedule, I made sure that I could book the day we had available, before paying for the ticket. So if you don't have a lot of flexibility, I'd recommend you also call before booking to make sure you can have the day you want.
Excellent! My friend & I had a falconry experience & I would highly recommend it. Roger was amazing - really welcoming & so informative about the birds of prey generally but also about the personalities & quirks of the various birds we met (Red Kite, Barn Owl, Harris hawk, Gyr Falcon). We will definitely be back if we are in the area.
Show more...Despite having to change the date of the visit several time due to family problems and a poor weather forecast, Roger could not have been more helpful and accommodating. The experience of getting close to, then handling the birds and flying them was amazing, made even more interesting by Roger's knowledge and his insightful talk about them, explaining things as we went along during our visit. A thoroughly enjoyable day in the company of a very pleasant and knowledgeable man and some beautiful and fascinating birds, each of which definitely had their own personality. A fabulous experience, I would thoroughly recommend to anyone thinking about it, give it a try-you will not be disappointed.
Show more...Spent an amazing family day out with Roger and his beautiful and very special Red Kite, stunning Barn Owl, magical Harris Hawk and majestic falcon. Booked with ease, location guidance was spot on and location was stunning. Roger’s expertise and love of falconry heightened the whole experience, he is a truly special and passionate falconer! We booked a Falconer and Archery course and after a full morning of falconry, Roger took time to ensure the fun continued as we challenged each other and learnt archery techniques. We were so lucky to also see local nesting Red Kites during our visit on a stunning summery day in November. Beautiful part of Wales, totally recommend a visit, we loved it.
Show more...What an incredible way to spend an afternoon. Roger's passion, knowledge and enthusiasm for his animals was infectious. We had an amazing visit, and would have no hesitation in highly recommending to anyone interested in experience falconry for themselves. The setting is incredible and the hospitality form start to finish was first class. June was great to deal with on the phone and we always felt we were in safe hands. Keep the amazing work both.
Show more...Fantastic day! Roger is a very engaging man who clearly knows and loves his beautiful birds. Could have happily spent the whole day, maybe even two there. Will definitely go back again. Highly recommended.
Show more...If the weather is good then this is a real treat for two hours or so. Drink provided, very pleasant talk and a little flying. Those birds are so lovely and the owner so loves them
Go there - its hard to find but follow the craft centre signs - ABD there is a craft shop that has snacks for afters!
Bought a half day 'Hawk and Owl experience' as a birthday present for my husband and I went along as a spectator but wished I had booked myself in to have a go as well.
A very interactive experience, after a short introduction to how to handle the birds and some of the background on falconry, we went outside and were introduced to the birds.
There was a group of 10 people and everyone got to hold a variety of different birds, and had the opportunity to let the birds fly to them and eat a piece of meat from their gloves and let the birds fly back to their perches.
All the way through we were given a personal description of the different personalities of the birds and why and how they were trained, how they were kept and why they did certain things.
Without going into too much detail (and spoiling it for anyone else) a very interactive, up close and personal encounter with several birds of prey.
My husband liked it so much he wants to go back and I have a new found interest in birds of prey - they are wonderful creatures and we got to experience them in a safe, friendly and fun environment.

What a great day out this was. We started with tea & biscuits in comfy armchairs, with a mini-lecture on the birds as well as plenty of opportunity to ask questions. Then an introuction to some birds, up close and personal, one of them particularly tame.
Next we went outside to fly the birds, with all who wanted to have a go able to handle them. A number of birds were flown (one at a time), and there were loads of chances to take photos. The only thing I'd flag up is that a few of the jokes told were in poor taste, but it's still a five-star rating.
A really interesting and nuique day out. It appeals to all kinds of people, young and old, and people of varying degrees of physical ability can participate as the walking required is quite short and on level ground.
The man who runs this obviously loves the birds, and the birds, him. Wonderful to see and an unbeatable day out.

We chose the Hawk and archery experience. Spent the morning meeting and learning about four different types of birds of prey: a red kite, a barn owl, a harris hawk, and a falcon cross-breed. We were able to handle all except the falcon, having the birds fly to us for a food reward. Brilliant to get so close to these beautiful creatures. The falcon then demonstrated his impressive flying skills by flying the the lure.
Show more...Then the birds were put away and after a lunch we spent a relaxed few hours trying to remember how to handle a bow and arrows, which we had both done before but not for some time. Ended up with a friendly competition.
Lovely relaxed day to round off our holiday. We were well looked after by Roger and swapped lots of tales! COVID-19 safe as mostly outdoors and rubber gloves and sanitising gels etc. were supplied. We brough our own lunch but tea, biscuits, and cake were supplied. We would do this again.
