Andrew was our guide on the Iron Islands tour and we will treasure the memories forever!!
What can you say about Andrew, he's absolutely hilarious, his stories will have you mesmerised ! He is an expert on all things GOT and he will tell you about his years working as an extra on the show.
The day is meticulously planned and ran like clockwork , it was so well planned out and everything was thought about.
We loved all the locations , the scenery is breathtaking.
We can't wait to come back and do the Winterfell trek !
This tour was the reason we came to Belfast and we certainly made the right choice to choose this to celebrate my boyfriends 40th birthday.
The value of this trip was amazing !!!!
See you again soon Andrew!!
Excellent tour! Our guide Robbie and bus driver Paul were great. We really enjoyed the stories Robbie shared from being on set while traveling to each site. The sites were beautiful. Well worth the time and money spent.
Show more...Firstly I'd like to say this tour is absolutely brilliant!!
Andrew the tour guide was hugely passionate about what he does (he's totally bonkers🤣🤣) He was incredibly funny and seriously knowledgeable about all things GOT and Ireland in general. The whole experience was fantastic and it was great to hear Andrew's background and stories as an extra from GOT. Very helpful, friendly and approachable! It was great to be able to see the locations from scenes with added background information! Andrew with photos and clips really brought them to life! Would absolutely recommend this tour, just be sure to wear warm clothing! Fantastic day!
Unfortunately COVID-19 turned our dream Ireland baby moon upside down. Out of all the tours, trips, accommodations, and flights we booked for our Ireland trip, Game of Thrones Tours is the only company that had the integrity to honored their refund to us. Even though it is only 163$ we have gotten back, we will remember how you treated us during the most difficult time during a world pandemic. We are loyal customers for life. Thank you Game of Throne Tours and we look forward to touring with you in the future.
Show more...This tour was great! Our tour guide was a double for the original ser Davos! How exciting! He was very sweet and gave us so much information. This tour shows you a lot of filming locations, it is a must for every got fan! I really cant recommend this tour and this tour guide enough. Thank you for this great opportunity to find new things about got and to see part of northern ireland.
Show more...We did the Ned Stark archery package at Castle Ward (Winterfell). Will, our host, was absolutely fantastic. He gave us a great insight into the filming on location and his knowledge and passion for the subject really brought things to life for us. After dressing in authentic costumes, we started the archery which was great fun. Our whole party had an absolute blast. I would highly recommend the tour and cannot thank Will and the team enough for a fabulous time
Show more...I was part of the Winterfell Trek from Dublin and it was truly magical. Lar is so engaging and enthusiastic about everything Game of Thrones related. The sites were stunning despite the March rain and would definitely return for another tour.
Show more...We were picked up in Belfast City centre. The total party was about 25 and the vehicle was an air conditioned mid sized coach with a TV screen which was used for demonstrating clips from the show that were related to the itinerary and a full viewing of the first episode. (Where we sat we could not get seat belts to fasten). Our tour Guide was Rob who comes across as passionate about the show and also the history of Ireland and from beginning to end delivers anecdotes, facts and technical information about filming. However there are useful pieces of information missing from the tour literature & Robs introductory speech. These being there are very limited opportunities to purchase water and there is a considerable amount of walking. I wish I had of known this beforehand because I was wearing flip flops and spent most of the tour feeling thirsty. Robs style of leading the tour was very much a one way delivery of infomation there was little effort on his part to bring the group together in discussion. Given that we were spending the full day together & had a shared interest it would have been much more enjoyable if there had been some group dynamics especially on the coach and over lunch.Lunch itself was reasonable but the room lacked atmosphere and the staff were not particularly proactive in attending to the party's needs. Also soup isn't everyone's choice for a hot day in July. The mix of sandwiches was good. The itinerary included some beautiful scenery mostly in Down,
Show more...The Game of Thrones tour is an absolute must for any fan, whether you’re a diehard fanatic, or someone – like myself – who can’t remember anyone’s name but loves the show nonetheless.
I went on the tour on July 22nd and it was very well organized. We were shown clips of episodes on the way to each location so that we could get an idea of not only where we were going, but also how CGI was used to contribute to existing sites. The application of CGI was further emphasized at each location by our tour guide, Andrew, who showed before-and-after pictures while explaining different facts about each location. I don’t know too much about CGI, so I found that part of the tour extremely fascinating. I also loved meeting the dire wolf pups – though they’re not pups anymore!
Andrew was a fantastic tour guide. We were his second tour group ever, but I wouldn’t have known as he was very knowledgeable and confident. He was also very personable and funny, regaling us with stories and anecdotes from his experiences as an extra in seasons 4 and 5 (he was in Stannis Borathean’s army). That personal touch made the tour that much more interesting as we learned things about the show that we would never have known otherwise. One thing I really appreciated was that he did not give away any spoilers; I was very grateful when he asked at the beginning of the tour if anyone had seen season 5 as me and a couple others hadn’t.
As stated previously, I highly recommend the tour for any Game of Thrones fan. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring a raincoat just in case! A day of Game of Thrones is a great day for all!
Wow, what a fabulous day we had on this tour! Brilliant value for money, Brian our guide was super cool, entertaining and so informative. It was great to be part of a small group on a small bus, we were lucky with the weather and dressing up and mucking around on the beach was a hilight. Would not hesitate to recommend this company and look forward to using them again on our next visit. Thank you Peter our driver as well.
