I would like to have walked the whole valley but didn't have the time, so maybe a 4 star is unfair. The view from the cliff above is great, but spoilt for me by the touristy setup and tacky photo ops that are provided. Not to mention the constant noisy stream of quad bikers! Take in the view, but also walk amongst the giant **** in the valley below, where you can get a welcome overpriced fresh orange juice from a small cafe in amongst the rock formations.
Show more...I attended the love valley lookout and the walk from love valley, to white valley, to Uchisar.
The lookout is well worth a stop. Just be aware it is a tourist spot, can get quite busy and there will be lots of people trying to sell you photos of yourself (have to make a living somehow).
If you got a taxi here ask it to wait. You will need it to get to the walks starting point (I did not do this and had to hitch hike or you can walk 20 min back down the dusty, busy road). Be aware though, taking a taxi to the lookout costs 20 Lr.
At the bottom of the lookout, back on the main road, is the start of the walk. As you go through the valley you will find a man selling juice in his hut - it is 100 Lr cash (maybe more expensive than elsewhere but there is no where else you can buy it from and he has to make a living).
Continue walking on. There are lots of small tracks - try to always stick to the lower paths. If you go higher you have to back track. You can not get lost as long as you continue along the direction towards Uchisar between the valley walls.
As a solo female I was a touch uneasy if I should do the walk but I felt safe. I told my hotel where I was, there where other tourists in the track (not many but enough that I felt you could yell for help if you needed it).
The walk back by pigeon valley was more interesting - it was quite difficult due to washed out tracks and no people on it. But the walk from love valley to uchasir I recommend. Very enjoyable and you really get to see the area.
Final tip. Even on cool days take water and dress appropriately. It is in a desert valley in direct sun. It still gets quite hot when 20 degrees. Be sensible.
Its a valley in Cappadocia when you can see the sunrise together with the hot air balloon comes up. Its one of the most spectacular view i’d ever seen and you have to take your time there until the sun really comes up and lots of the hot air balloon flies, you will find your picture like a wall paper background. Its amazing. Just prepare as the weather in winter is really cold
Show more...We went without the red or green tours that they offer in goreme. The tour offers doesnt look fair with the prices. Similar place can be reached by publoc transport and google search.
We took a public bus to Uchisar for 20 tl per person and found the way to the love valley which is streight forward.
Start of the way into the love valley is flat until the point that the road goes down into the hill. Going down is tricky and slippery but it is do-able with care.
Within the valley there are different roads, but all are the same, we went for the higher ones that have better view into the valley.
The path from the Uchisar back to the goreme takes almost 3.5 h to 4 hours by walking slowly and chill with taking photos, etc.
Before you go take enough water.
Have a nice hike.
This review is for the lookout and not the hike in the valley floor. You can take a taxi or self drive to this lookout above Love Valley. There is a nominal parking fee to enter. It was 20tl for our taxi. There are some hearts and swings set up for photos. Some pony and camel rides are available as well if you're into that. A small café and gift shop is on site. In my opinion sunset is a better time to go since the sun is behind you, making the colours more spectacular. We spent about 20 minutes enjoying the view and taking photos. It’s very easy to access so in my opinion, worth coming for the lovely view.
Show more...One stepping into Love Valley in Cappadocia would be awe-struck by nature's captivating artistry. The valley's distinctive phallic rock formations, framed by expansive skies and rolling terrains, showcase Cappadocia's unparalleled geological wonders. Whether one is trekking its paths or floating in a balloon, its charm is undeniable. Truly, it stands as a testament to nature's imaginative brilliance in Turkey's heartland.
Show more...We went there at sunset. 30 mins-1h are more than enough to grasp all the beauty of the place. Mesmerizing! go to the panorama. Also you can book an ATV, camel, pony Souvenirs and everything, along with one of the most beautiful sights you'll ever see. It's amazing how nature did all this!
Show more...Fab place to hike to from Göreme, but do not take the walking route that Google Maps suggests; not unless you want to add an unnecessary extra 30-40 minutes each way just to end up in a car park!
To be fair, once you’ve reached the car park you do get to see the panoramic views of Love Valley, but you are not able to reach the valley via the car park. Instead you have to retrace your steps back down the main road and then turn off up a dirt track when you see the sign for Baglidere Vadisi.
Highly recommend that you also wear shoes suitable for hiking, as I saw several people wearing trainers who were precariously sliding down the paths! It was quite amusing to watch, but it could have resulted in a nasty accident.
I didn't enjoy that much the experience due some facts:
It was a terrible idea getting there after walking through Pigeon Valley and Uchisar. By the time we arrived there, we were exhausted.
Beware the entrance to the valley you choose. We began the one that's marked on Mapsme after a parking lot or Ozler centre. After passing a juice vendor, you have to get down a very steep slope which made me think twice about taking the risk. This will be the entrance to White valley. Finally, we did it, but we had to do it at a very slow pace.
On the way to Love Valley, we found several families who started the hike from Love valley to climb

Show more...Stopped for a short stroll up a track in to this valley.part of a small group tour from UK and our tour leader stopped at a few areas, rather than have us undertake a very long walkThe "tufa" here is well sculpted and unusual.
There is a small family run refreshment cabin for a beer, soft drink or local style coffee.
I would have been content to stay and stroll longer ,just to investigate, touch, watch and chill out ,but group has to move on.
